Msgboard Chatroom Marathon

Msgboard Chatroom Marathon

Honestly, I would go to IRC for this kind of stuff, but if any of you have been there recently, everyone seems to be...inactive. Sooooooooo, out of boredom, I'm turning a thread among this msgboard into a chat room, anyone care to join? =P.

It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.

New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P

Let's try not to let this post hang for over 2 hours, hm? =P

JavaBrain - Are we insane? Will it ever end???????

well, i am quite sane. i have a bit of paper that says so

/me writes another one for backup, just in case

as for the rest of it, from what i have seen of your minds, JavaBrain, Elf and Doreen all seem quite cute. there are other cute people here, these are just the people i can think of at the moment, so dont feel left out

why should it ever end? we may need to move over to a new thread at some point (perhaps soon Elf? ), and continue there though

Glen Eric Reed - Most of us males worthy of being called males are good for pretty much everything females are good for (short of the obvious things like giving birth). The breadth of our capabilities would probably surprise most women. Of course, capability and action are two different things....

ahha!
/me spots the cunning let out clause

i suspect then most of the "men" i have encountered over the years wouldnt qualify as "worthy males"

as for capacities, the ones i have encountered seem incapable of any form of meaningful conversation that isnt about one of 3 items, breasts, football, cars.

after a while all three topics pale. normaly after about 1 minute actually, i can be impatient

/me decides to leave action as a self evident exercise to the readers

Elfkura - School is hard, teachers can't seem to even things out very well =/

/me sympathises
i know the feeling well.
however, if you can learn to master this, it will be an invaluable skill later on in life. none of the managers where i work can even things out at all either

Doreen wonders just what would be a more better environment for feline to meet and mingle? a pet store? hehe

/me thinks wincustomize has worked quite well so far

isnt a pet store one of those places that sells colars, chains, and sweeties all in one place?

/me has heard rumors about this sort of place

/me wonders who designed Doreens impressive icon

Doreen - Human males are for killing spiders & cuddling w/ when they are not killing spiders...

/me *impressed*

most human males dont seem very keen on cuddling.
/me *confused*
cuddling is nice and cumforting

anyway, back to the plot. Doreen, if you dont mind me asking, what is your secret? and does it work on females as well?

lemmee seeee my secretttt hmmmmmmmm

Hey it'sa secret I can't tellya! hehe

okeeee actually truth izzzzz...
Love & respect is all you need to get around (works w/ both male and female)

and me has never had a prob getting a male to cuddle they just never admit they did it, but they cuddle too! even the big nasty bad ones cuddle tooooo

oh and Alexandrie designed my icon KISS
though it seems everytime someone makes me an icon they make me bald and I have rather long hair...

Yeah, Men just won't admit to other men that they like to cuddle. My husband (oh god he would kill me if he knew I said this) still has a little stuffed tiger from when he was a kid. It is really in bad shape now, so it has a special box that it stays in. One of the guys here at work has a really cute bunny that he had since he was a kid......

Everyone's got an object in which they hold dear. I do too, from the age of six or seven. My blanket still lies in my closet. I've had it for about 12 - 13 years now.

They say the older an object, the more meaning it has towards you

I've had meaningful conversations that didn't involve breasts, football, or cars. And while I doubt I'd bring it up in conversation, I have no problem admitting to liking cuddling. And somehow, I doubt I'm the only male like this. At least I hope not. Because if I was, I wouldn't be able to keep women away from me unless I was hideously ugly. And keeping women away doesn't seem to be a big problem.

I'm beginning to feel a bit outnumbered on this thread. Am I the only guy willing to defend guys?
No need to feel outnumbered. I'm still not very sure where men got the idea that girls like tough, bit muscled men.....

Personally, I rather enjoy the cuddling soft side of guys mostly. I guess it's just my personality.

I must admit, I do like the "car racing" side of my hubby. The "manly" side, if you want to call it that. He could be a little more sensitive, but in general, I can't complain. Of course, I am not exactly a real "girly" girl. I was a tom boy growing up, worked on cars with my Dad and stuff like that, so I guess it is natural for me to be attracted to somebody who think about how he could get more horsepower out of my car versus buying flowers or something for my birthday.

Everyone is different, though. You just have to keep looking until you find somebody that you click with.

This is turning into the romance thread...

Where is that cake that Feline made for Elf? That sounds good (especially with a cup of coffee).
Well, once you keep looking for long enough, it starts getting frustrating and there becomes less to look for. And then there're the times you click with them but they don't click with you. Statistically, my odds are diminishing.

Good thing I continue to keep myself entertained even when I don't have someone to be entertained with.

Glen, you need to consider the irony of the current situation.

here you are, getting on quite well with several females all at once.

and there are only 2 minor issues.
a) they are probably living on a different planet
b) they are all happily settled with significant others.

if you dont see the humor in the situation it will drive you mad

/me wants to know if all interesting women are born 'married'
JavaBrain - Where is that cake that Feline made for Elf? That sounds good (especially with a cup of coffee).

go though the blue swirly portal to the chocolate plannet, and it is on the right. quite obvious

there is also a coffee lake on one side, so you can go tobonging down the side of the cake when you want a drink
Reply #370 Top
now now JavaBrain!

married lady does *not* imply interesting lady as far as i am concerned.

i like things like an interesting and inventive mind, a sence of humor, and isnt to worried by my perpsective on life.

basically i like people i can have interesting conversations with.

this list doesnt contain the work female anywhere in it. it has just been my experience that this is far easier to find in a female than a male.

further, all such females that i seem to have encountered over the years seem to be quite happily settled with significant others.

Glen Eric Reed - I'm beginning to feel a bit outnumbered on this thread. Am I the only guy willing to defend guys?

you feel outnumbered?

Elf oscilates from one gender to another depending on the situation.

my species and mental gender are still under debate in certain quarters.

in which sence are you feeling outnumbered?

i could argue that i am outnumbered here since i am the ony three point 4 of me here.

try taking a "classic" male approach to the situation. "this is a target rich environment". where ever you turn there are women

as for defending males, i will admit that i am biased on the subject. working with them on a daily basis in a male only depertment hardly shows them off at their best.
Actually, feline, the humor and irony goes further than that. Outside of work, most of my spare time is spent in community theatre. If you're single and male in that crowd, it's just assumed you're gay until proven otherwise. That'd be great if I was, but I'm not. And I've got some specific situations that'd put the irony level into the stratosphere (assuming there's a stratosphere on the chocolate planet), but I'll spare everyone.

But as long as I've got some people I can share that irony with, I'm fine.
My feeling of being outnumbered is based in reality. I guess that was my mistake, since we're clearly not in reality here

I should be used to it by now. Most everything I've been involved with in the past 10 years or so is female-heavy, from college to work to leisure time.
The boards themselves are actually male dominated, it's just us mouthy females that make it *seem* like there are more women......

I was told today that you should only drink three cups of coffee a day....I guess I'm caught up for the rest of the year...
