Toxic Renderer

Toxic Renderer

physical correctness

Found this while researching toxic stuff.

http://www.toxicengine.org/

I was wondering if anyone has heard of it. It's still in alpha ver. 4 but dates back to 2004. An open source renderer under the GNU license. I read what little there was about it and no mention is made of whether or not its still around. As of 17 Nov. 2005 toxic 1.0 alpha 5 was released. There's nothing after that date. The moderators are dictoon, toma (which sounds familiar) and jperret. ring a bell anywhere? BTW ... I can't find any post between 2006 and 2010.

I'm all for that. Remember the wall I told you about. It crashed and burned. Its in the wallpaper progress thread. I'll admit making walls is not something I'm all that good at. I dl'd a bunch of brushes thinking they'd work but to my surprise they really suck! I mean they are probably good for some things but not for making wallpapers. They all come out so blurry, lacking any kind of definition. I'm gonna chuck them. No use keeping what I can't use.

Never mind, you've still got the drawing board... and you can practice doing whatever you like on that.  You'll eventually stumble upon something that just grabs your imaginative processes, and the next thing you know you're uploading.

Chin up, sunshine, orright? :sun:

The rainy is up but I don't see it in the gallery

Yeah, it's there... I downloaded it and it's looking sweet.  I'll have to mess around with my desktop later to get a Sunken Treasure theme going with it.

Did it scare ya? I showed off the Happy Halloween version and people thought it was pretty good. You know.... reading I.R. Brainiacs comments on the walls were a bit sobering. I appreciate that kind of return because its honest. Not like some others who might say yeah its good and let it go at that. I've been a fan of his since I joined WC back in 06. That guy is pretty awesome. Oh BTW... still waiting on a reply from Web.

Yeah, IR is a top bloke and he has a great eye for things... his critique is well worth paying heed to if you wish to improve your artwork.

I guess WG is busy ATM... I saw that he has some new Winstep themes up, so maybe that's why. However, I'm sure he will respond when he has the time, etc.

I'm in no particular hurry. Those Winstep themes cannot be easy to do and from the looks of them they require a good deal of time and patience. I can wait.

Yeah, I'm sure WG will get back to you when he can.

In the meantime look for a new post titled Natural Male Enhancement. An article I found in Science News.

Natural Male Enhancement???   Now that wouldn't be about organic pee-pee enlargers, would it?

Read the article if it hasn't been deleted. You know how Jafo is about keepin' it squeaky. Notice how you and I are the only ones keeping certain threads alive.

Yup, the place would be near dead without us. :'(

As for the article, yup, I read it.  Had a bit of fun while I was there, too. :w00t:

You know, I looked for it on my posts and couldn't find it. Did Jafo heave it?

The post has been 'Nuked. In other words it was a nono. Big OOPS!!!

Probably, if that's the case.  Oh well, it's a lesson learned. :)

Yeah but now I'm glowin' in the dark cause the fallout from the radioactive post backfired. Oh well...at least I don't have to worry about not being seen in the dark.lol

Yeah, it's good when the lights go out and you need to see to pee. ;)

Which reminds me of the sign I saw in a toilet once: "We Aim To Keep This Toilet Clean - Your Aim Will Help." :D

If a blind man pees does he hear the splash or does he just point and shoot.

Hmmm, if a blind man is also deaf, does he get somebody to point for him? :-" :w00t: :S

Is that why they call him a point man? :P

This bloke's a 'pointer'

That has got to be most embarrassing. Having someone hold your wang for you. Wouldn't mind if it was a lady but....shudder to think. x_x

Nah, I'm the only one who holds and points my wang to pee, so in a situation like the one above, I'd have a hose running down my leg and I'd stand over a drain.

I couldn't even get a woman to hold it for me... otherwise my wang wouldn't know if it was time to pee or play. :-" :w00t: ;P :X

Did you play?

Got a response from WG. He suggested, for obvious reasons, that I trash Emerald and try again. I agreed with him. As for Winstep ... he said the angles would be a nightmare to work with. Probably true with DX. Anyway. In the Garnet Wb thread I dropped a hint that someone should make a SMX for the suite. WG volunteered me. I think I'm gonna give it a shot, Can't say how long it'll take. I need to get Xiandi's permission first.

Nope... but my wang-dang-doodle had a great time. :w00t:

That's a shame... I like it,  But then, WG know his business, so agreeing with him is probably a wise step.  Besides, you can take the concept and apply is differently, etc.

Again, WG knows his stuff.... so what's that I hear?  Oh you're moving on to bigger and better things.  That's good to know.

There ya go!  Doing a SMX for that suite of beauties would be a nice move, and I'm sure Lady Xi will grant permission if you ask.  And WOW, what a beautiful WB that is!  I fell in love with it the moment I saw the WIP preview, and I was not disappointed when it was released.

It took less than fifteen minutes to get Xiandi's permission. She e-mailed me her graphics and I already got something started. Just putting together additional graphics for meters and such. During that time I must have deleted a half dozen layers or so. what I'm doing is sticking to what's in the folder to keep it all Garnet if you know what I mean. The background image is the start menu.

Sounds good, even though I don't run SMX because I have the Winstep desktop modules running instead.  However, that doesn't mean to say that I couldn't run SMX on my spare rig, not that it gets a lot of use these days.  Shauuna runs SMX, though, so I'll be sure to tell her to keep an eye out for it.

Still making the graphics. So far four meter dials, two indicator groups, four rings for the meter graphics, inside background, some buttons. FUN!!

Right now having lunch. Ever try peanut butter and bacon sandwiches. yum.
