Forums are Back Up

Huzzah!

We've completed our work for the night and the forums are back up and running.  You'll notice a number of visual changes, and you'll hopefully notice improved speed and general performance.

Please post any issues you run into here.  We've done a lot of testing this past week and tonight, but if something slipped through we want to know so it can be fixed quickly.

Items not functioning at this moment:

  1. Recent Posts List on the Sidebar
  2. Featured Articles

Fixes are coming for these tomorrow.  For now, it's getting on towards 5am and we want to get some sleep  ;)

Holy Smokes! I see them here but not...ooohhh...I are so beside me now. How come they 're working here but not from the home page. That's where I clicked the 'reply to' from.

I like the new layout a lot, but page loads are very slow just now.

Just hope you can get the image backgrounds matched up.. from a skinners viewpoint its hideous to see an image.. on a square background over a color that doesnt match. That and this tiny reply box.

What image backgrounds?  When reporting errors or problems please try and be as specific as possible.  Screenshots, links, browser info etc is needed to troubleshoot these problems.

I can't open this thread https://forums.wincustomize.com/?forumid=144&aid=177978 in IE, I get and error message saying IE cannot open this page. Works ok in FF.

Looks good. A few things.
I'm using latest version of FF.
1. Quotes not working. - not highlighted and not quoting what I highlight/copy.
2. Edits not working.
3. When I click on the WC logo at top of page to go to main page, it just refreshes the page I'm on...just in forums.

My previous post (a few minutes ago) is not showing up yet. Also, after I leave this article/comments, and return from the main page, I am seeing this for page number at the bottom of page 1... posting this at 10:49 am pst

If you're getting the tiny editor box, I need the following info:

  1. URL
  2. Browser & Version
  3. OS
  4. Is it for a new post or editing a post?

We're having a hell of a time reproducing the problem, so any additional info you can provide will help.

Ive had the tiny box all morning on every page of the forum. Both for new posts and editing a post. Using IE7 and XP Pro.

As for the slow loading times that people are having problems with. I had the same problem this morning on every thread I went to but after about 15 minutes of being on the forums it cleared up and hasnt happened since.

We know about the speed issues, they're a server problem.  We have a pretty good idea where the problem is and that's being worked on right now.
