Forums are Back Up

Huzzah!

We've completed our work for the night and the forums are back up and running.  You'll notice a number of visual changes, and you'll hopefully notice improved speed and general performance.

Please post any issues you run into here.  We've done a lot of testing this past week and tonight, but if something slipped through we want to know so it can be fixed quickly.

Items not functioning at this moment:

  1. Recent Posts List on the Sidebar
  2. Featured Articles

Fixes are coming for these tomorrow.  For now, it's getting on towards 5am and we want to get some sleep  ;)

Thank you all for your patience.

Just to reiterate from on irc: the breadcrumbs are missing at the bottom of posts. I see an empty row right above the reply textbox where I believe the breadcrumbs used to be.

trying to edit a post does not take.. it looses any changes you try to make ..

Doesn't seem to read the cookie on this thread....always takes me to the first post. X(

The mouseover image is missing when hovering over Forums on the nav, and the smiley textbox seems to be displaying behind this textbox.

Also, as a reminder, the following will be disabled until each is tackled over the next few weeks:

  • Watchlist
  • Watch Post
  • Email Post
  • Post Icons (read, new, new reply)
  • Advanced Search
  • Honorifics
  • Blog links on forum post subject lines. ala. "by JoeUser on Joe's Blog"
  • Forum Summary Page
  • Stardock Central Forum List
  • Rating/Reporting of posts and replies.
  • Print Mode
  • Essential Articles
  • Articles Awards

There also seems to be a missing image under my name on the above post.

Oh and it took a long time to post the last message.

EDIT: I timed this one and it took almost 30 seconds

i definitely like the new layout. is the spellcheck for zubaz functional yet?

Lay out is nifty.

Question will the forums be supporting PNG avatars? Transparancy would be nice with the 2 tone thread colors (Avatar looks great on white but not so good on the blue) :)

I like the new layout. Pretty sweet.

Yeah, the background color for the quotes needs to be set to a different color, like grey or something. And this text box that I'm typing in is TINY, about 2 inches by half an inch! is it supposed to be like that???

Wow, this is different! I like it so far. ;)

I think Pinned posts should be seen just once not twice. On my side "February Desktop Screen shots" thread is being displayed twice.

hmmmm.... When I click the wheel on my mouse it allows fast scrolling by physically moving the mouse forwards and backwards, but that doesn't work AT ALL now in the forums. Annoyingly, it only worked outside the center panel before, and I did point it out when the new Wincustomize was first built. I was told it was being looked into way back then, but now it's worse!! Please fix this guys, I use fast scrolling all the time!! B[]

and I wonder where reply #'s are gone? I am seeing "reply #0" on every post! (articles.aspx)

When trying to add a link or a Image to a post with the tool bar buttons the popup box jam's up in the top left corner instead of center page and you can only see part of it.
