Huzzah!

We've completed our work for the night and the forums are back up and running.  You'll notice a number of visual changes, and you'll hopefully notice improved speed and general performance.

Please post any issues you run into here.  We've done a lot of testing this past week and tonight, but if something slipped through we want to know so it can be fixed quickly.

Items not functioning at this moment:

  1. Recent Posts List on the Sidebar
  2. Featured Articles

Fixes are coming for these tomorrow.  For now, it's getting on towards 5am and we want to get some sleep  ;)

Page numbering... This thread started off viewing page 0 of 2. I am now on page 2 of 2 which is actually page 3 of 3. Nice to see this box size has been fixed.

Seems the forum doesn't remember where I left off on the threads and I didn't delete the cookies.  Also I don't see the ...Mark all threads as read....

Also, doesn't the new look list the titles of everyone that uses one?

Heh . . I really like seeing the member number posted with the poster info.  Whose ever idea that was:  :CONGRAT:

Having said that though . . I'd love to be able to mouse-over or some-such thing and see date of membership.   ;)

Just did a post in another thread.
As has already been stated the quotes are not working right.
When i tried to edit my post and add quotes to it myself not only did the edit not take but it also sent me back to the first page of the thread.

Like everyone else, getting use to the changes will take sometime. I didn't read all the replies, so I'm sure the one thing that I see has been mentioned. Thanks for the update of the forums. I'll be waiting to see the minor corrections like the rest of the folks. ;)

Also I liked how I used to be able to hit the back button and it would take me to the top of the page. That doesnt happen now. If that has been removed on purpose can we get a "Top of Page" button on the bottom?
Some threads have ALOT of scrolling to reach the top.  ;)

Inserting a link or image seems a bit different (and not in a good way).

  • In FF, the input box is in the upper left of the browser at the top of the post and teh forum post is not "greyyed" out
  • In IE, the input box is in the right place but the post is totally greyyed out.

This URL:  https://forums.wincustomize.com/post.aspx?postid=300025&p=3 works as expected in IE but has the same behavior as the one above in FF.

Sorry for the multiple posts, guess I shouldve done a list in notepad first  :D  When going into the My Replies section All the thread titles stay in bold letters even once theyve been read. Also all of the Last Reply and My Last Reply dates and times are identical. Meaning each post shows the last reply as being mine even if it wasnt.

Is the "Last" and "First" in regards to page numbers only displayed if there are more than three pages?  Seems a bit inconsistent (but that's a matter of taste), might not be a bug.  :)

I really like the look of the new Profile page.  (The status seems off though.  It shows me as "offline."  I assumed it should be reporting on my log-in state and not mental state.  ;))

Also on the profile page it shows my last activity as 20 minutes ago even though I just made those 2 posts.

Working...working...working...little strange...first I got a page zero on this post then clicked next and got page one which duplicated page zero. Maybe that's why on page zero all replies were numbered zero. Seems to be ok now. Is the spellcheck working. Zoomba will love that. :LOL:
