I know I have been here for a couple of years but hardly ever active because I don't think my art style and computer knowledge would fit here and end up pissing someone off. Answer me this then, what are the true requirements for windows 7 ? Have you taken into consideration that many programs are not ready for windows 7, that is due to the fact that Microlost hasn't made it clear enough to software and hardware makers to start fully supporting vista to make at least windows 7 have a backward compatiblity program to use most of vista's x86 and x64 programs. I like doing my skins in my own style that Skin Studio 5.0 did and if you at least screw up something wether it would be graphic wise or coding wise skin studio 5.0 would not let you make the skin work properly without you fixing the problems you made and it would at least tell you whats wrong and fix it a little and the rest is up to you to fix it up and make it work great. In about 2 hours I am going to use a trial of vista home premium I got in the mail last winter, my problem is that 35 of my skins are based on XP OS, and I need some sort of a way to make them compatible with vista and window blinds 6. The thing is with skinstudio 6 it can't convert the skin to be atleast enabled to work with vista and let me fix any bugs or problems I might find like Skinstudio 4.6 and 5.0 did before saving them and not risk screwing up the windows environment a litt

Hey I would like to know if this is possible to do, I know I would have to rename all of my skins parts to match XP's original part put it back on the folder which is hidden on the XP CD and finally rebuild the whole CD for it to MIGHT possibly work... I'm not going to sell the CD at all or the key, I just want to have my own personal version of XP, plus I get sick of the XP blue and green theme and having to reinstall wb v4.6 and get the skin I want on it again. This is my desktop on my laptop right now. When I used windows blinds 4 on 2000 and me a couple if years back it had no problem using a XP based skin shell and putting it either on xp sp1- Me.

hey, I'm currently having a problem getting my skins to fully display right in windows 2000. I'm using wb 4.5 or 4.6 on my 366mhz armada when I apply my skins almost everything is coverd up except my task button taskbar and the start panel... the windows frames appear correctly along with the scroll bars and such but not my taskbar. when I used windows 98 me and 2000 over 5 years ago everything appeared correctly with no problems is their some option in skin studio pro 5 where I can te

I obtained a copy of wb 5.50 from stardock a couple months back ago this year this has been the one that caused so many problems with my vista computer.... I just redownloaded the lastet trial of wb so now its not causing all of those problems that I had earlier. thanks for the help.

well I don't think its the hardware at all, minus the fairly new video card and monitor everything in my case is brand new. I just built this 9th computer last week and it hasn't given me any problems even with vista installed on it...

hi, I own a copy of windows vista I found out that windows blinds 5.0- 5.50 doesn't work so well with vista.... I have tried my many times to get it to work with vista ultimate, sometimes the configuration will open up at start up alot times it won't even bother opening up... also during the past 6 months I've been working on 6 custom skins of my own and none of them has a problem they work well with winxp pro sp2 but will not load up on vista and change the skin of my desktop.... hey I'm going to start a new skin in a little while and I was wondering what is the maximum width a start button can have ? you know those windows vista orbs I have 5 that are in different colors and I wanted the skin to show all five orbs in the taskbar is this possible or would I have to resize the orbs just a little bit to make them fit well with the skin ? I plan to call this skin Miami Heat allstars. also is their a way for me to change xp login screen to my style ?

Thanks guys I almost fixed my button problem its not picture perfect but at least its alot more decent I'm sending a pre beta skin to a friend of mine and sometime this weekend after work I'll experiment more with transparent images via through (Paint Shop Pro) only. me and adobe photo shop just don't get along that well.

Somehow when skin studio save the skin the first time something went horribly wrong and I didn't notice it until I tested the skin at 1:15am in the morning when I finished 2 weeks of work creating the blasted skin. also is their good guide for creating transparent glass parts in wincustomize.net ?

Question 1 I use Paint shop pro 7-9 to do alot of graphics and imaging editing creating I talked to keikonium last night and he said in order to make some tranparent glass parts for my skin he said I should use adobe photoshop, thing is I truly hate adobe photoshop and won't even dream about touching it! Can paint shop pro X or 11 handle 32 bit TGA's ? also when making the see through glass like parts will I need to use the color purple to make the parts transparent in order for skin studio 5.1

Hey I'm having a small problem that I am doing right now, I did a skin called Miami Heat and I used 10% of eyeJ's iGlass 1 for the window tool bar and buttons in my skin the frame of the windows shows up perfectly after I modfied it but the window frame buttons show up only with their normal colors and don't match up with the colors frame I created which is black. when I looked at the properties for the buttons in skinstudio 4.5 it had a question mark

I have a real important question to ask you guys ? is there some type of software that will toggle between 2 skins everyday ? example, my custom skin Miami Heat 2 golden sunset in the (morning and day) and miami heat 3 blue fire!! at (night time) is this someway possible to do ? if you don't understand go load AOL 8.0 and 9.0 and go to the logon screen in the morning afternoon and night time and you'll notice how the background changes during the day.
