windows blinds 4.3 - 4.6 problem on windows 2000

hey, I'm currently having a problem getting my skins to fully display right in windows 2000. I'm using wb 4.5 or 4.6 on my 366mhz armada when I apply my skins almost everything is coverd up except my task button taskbar and the start panel... the windows frames appear correctly along with the scroll bars and such but not my taskbar.

when I used windows 98 me and 2000 over 5 years ago everything appeared correctly with no problems is their some option in skin studio pro 5 where I can tell the skins to use xp shell for windows 2000 pro or anything other version I can try ? I tried using a old copy of window blinds 5 but it said could not find the xp os ? WTH ?

Any help would be great.

WindowBlinds 5 is for XP and newer. On Windows 2000,  you will be able to only use WindowBlinds 4.

WindowBlinds 4 did not support as much in the way of skinning as 5 or 6 do, however. Could you post a screenshot of how this looks on your system?

This is my desktop on my laptop right now.

When I used windows blinds 4 on 2000 and me a couple if years back it had no problem using a XP based skin shell and putting it either on xp sp1- Me.

With the exception of the unmagic pink in the status bar, that looks like how I would expect WindowBlinds 4 to skin on Win2k. It's only on XP systems that you would get more complete results with WB4.

How do other skins look on your system?

This is one of my 24 skins Miami heat skins this is called Miami Heat 7 Part 3 (Midnight Hurricane) I don't want to host it because of one reason: members and senior skinners would probably flame the livin daylights out of me. Its not to due to copy right issues from 2 other skinners I used from.... its just that people may find it strange or not enough to their standards...
in others words not looking for a fight.

Thanks for you help Mike that explains why m skins won't fully complete itself on windows 2000. somebody can close and trash this now.
