What is the one thing you buy for yourself that you simply must have? Mine? Soft sheets. Cotton Sateen. I adore them. The more you wash, the softer they get. I can not stand scratchy sheets and blankets. I must be comfy to sleep. Unless I am dog tired. For food items. I always splurge to have A-1. The off brand steak sauce does not cut it. Not that I use a lot of it mind you. But my messy sandwiches don't taste right wit

I wish I could stay home today. Current temp is -4. And the wind chill? -30. Oooh Winter is sooo much fun. And guess what I've seen already today?! Snowmobiles! You would think they'd have enough sense to wait till tomorrow when it's going to be in the 20's. The snow will still be there. Crazy people. Gotta go. Warm up the car and go to work. Oh what fun I shall have today. Wish me luck. Ali

Alright. Everyone knows, when it snows, it sometimes gets very very slippery. I am what I term to be a "Old Baba" driver. It gets cold, with lots of snow on the road, and I turn into a little old lady. 30 maybe 40 mph. I'll get where I'm going. And. I won't wind up in the ditch. NOW. Here's where I get cranky. Just because you happen to own an 4x4 SUV, it doesn't mean you can drive the same way you would on clear roads. All it means, is all four of your tires are turning. It gives you no r

New Page 1 My strange little hobby of collecting TV episodes takes an immense amount of time. Of course, sometimes it's only for me, so I'm the only one making myself wait with this. But not today. Today

I don't think there's a "god" in the sense we think. If you consider all religions from the beginning of time. Our idea of "god" is the newest one. I think there's a higher power. What or who..I won't venture to guess. Whatever you believe, is fine. Attempting to force that belief on someone else. Not fine. And that's all I'm going to say. Ali The Misfit Chick

I was fond of Alexandria. I think it was a soap opera character. Hey...Huey Lewis and the News was cool! I don't mind my name. Alicia Anne I really hope my children don't kill me. I gave them unusual names. Sheanice and Darion. I really wanted them to be the only one with that name in their classrooms.

I'm with you, Jill. When I was pregnant, heels were the last thing I wanted to wear! The editor of Women's Day needs a beating. :) Or at the very least a strong talking to. I can't imagine what those stylists were thinking. They could have put them in flats. Or those cute little ballerina slipper shoes. You can be fashionable and comfortable. Ali The Misfit Chick

Ok. I admit. XP isn't evil. Bill Gates. I'm still thinkin he's the devil. :) Ah, so I have XP now. And I must admit some things are pretty neat about it. I haven't tried making a DVD yet. But, tomorrow is another story. Well, later today. I'm still operating on the "It's Friday" premise. A story. I said I would tell you one. What should it be? My name. It's not an interesting story. But it's a story none the less. Since I was little. Probably one or two, my mom an

I am now. An XP user. Thanks to my step-son Zak. He was gracious in letting me use his copy til I purchase one of my own. I was really tearing my hair out about the DVD thing. I haven't yet tried to burn a DVD, I'm still going through XP and making it look like I want. I'll be the first to say it...I was wrong. XP is not evil. Then, I've only really had it installed for .... 2 hours. Time will tell. I'm off to mess around with this some more. I slaved my old hard drive to the n

Nero? I'll look into it. I've been doing research about the different programs available. Some of the prices on some of them frighten me. Plus, I'm discovering, that I'm really going to have to upgrade to Win XP. Most of the programs I've looked at are made for Win 2000 or XP. Sucks for us 98 users. But then, I knew I'd have to give up my operating system eventually. Thanks for the tip Jeremy! It's very appreciated.

I'm looking forward to the bridesmaid duty. Wearing a pretty dress, you get to sit at the head table. Drinks. Yes, they give you drinks and you party. I like that idea. :)

I've been asked to be a bridesmaid. I said yes, only after she promised no orange taffeta. :) So. It's -3 degrees. I'm just getting home, cause the roads are yucky. And now I'm all spazzed cause of the drive home. Slippery roads always make me stressed. Fear of the ditch I suppose. Mom always worried about those ditches. That, and the state of my room. My cat is looking at me. I don't know why. She's got food, water..clean litter box. Why is she staring at me? It's funny.

Hey Jeremy! I was actually attempting to burn some episodes I have on my hard drive. (3 West Wing episodes, commercials cut out). It was getting stuck on the transcoding phase. For 7 hours. That was before I finally gave up. I am currently looking for another program. I've decided Arcsoft is a waste of my time, and they haven't answered me yet. HP was VERY prompt in their response to me about the issue, even though it wasn't of their creation. (The program came with the burner). Even though

12. 12 freakin' degrees. And tomorrow? Colder. Possible minus degrees happening tomorrow night. Where's the dang global warming! I see no evidence of it now. So, still haven't gotten the DVD burning program to work right. Beginning to think Bill Gates is behind some door laughing his head off at us. I'm actually desperate enough to..and I CAN'T believe I'm saying this...buy XP home version. :: slaps hands to head and whimpers:: No no... Since when did I become one of the sh

As the title states, sometimes, I feel stupid. Like today for instance. I'm sick, granted, that could be some of it. But no, I think it's more that I am under-informed about things. I'm building my new computer. I bought a brand new DVD burner for my new toy. Of course, it sat there mocking me, until I put it in the current computer to play with it. I decided it was research. Yeah. That's it. Have to explore the options, so when it's in the new computer, I already have figured things out.

Don't ask me how, or why. But, I'm sick. When you are sick and DJing, there is no going home early. You have to tough it out. People kept saying, "My god, you look like you feel bad." And then the closer few would touch my head and tell me I was burning up. Aha...so that would be why my eyeballs feel like they're on fire. I was wondering what that was. A friend was wearing J-Lo perfume. It's a heavy patcholli (I know I spelled that wrong) smell. Not bad...just heavy

I'm really not worried about "mad cow". And I'm not worried about our governments system in tracking these things. If anything, the fact that they traced this cow to a herd in Canada...frightens me. They could track a cow...but not certain criminals? Back to the cow...I am a beef eater. Will always be. One cow doesn't worry me.

Friend Jay lives in another state. I don't get to see him very often. My youngest brother (long story..I'll explain later) still lives in the area, so when I go check in on him I get to see Jay. Thanks for asking.
