yes, since "demonic" would mean "having the qualities of or relating to demons", that would mean you civ is quite evil...honestly, does no one think vocabulary is fun to learn anymore? Demons are not evil! They're just misunderstood.
Dracil
they dont have diplomacy disadvantage, they have base evil alinement, which means lot of races dont get along with them, if you manage to get them to neutral, they is no further issue with them It's HIDDEN. You don't see it. It's just there. Unless you've actually looked through the game files to v
Actually I'd say the Metaverse is more than likely correlation rather than causation. The point that most people who think the Yor are overpowered are missing is that YOR HAVE A HIDDEN DIPLOMATIC DISADVANTAGE! That's the balancing factor, right there. Now, we may disagree on whether it's enough, but it's there. Unless they took it out, in which case I'll agree, Yor are overpowered.
The Yor = Ithkul in MOO3 They get diplomatic penalties that aren't shown. I hate the Terrans and Altarians. They always give me crappy trade deals.
Well, I'm kinda burnt out of the modern settings, which this is. Hence why I liked Savage.
Interesting, I wonder how the copy protection companies are going to deal with this. They can't exactly blacklist it like they do with Daemon Tools and stuff if it starts being bundled with Windows.
Penny Arcade has officially mentioned this! http://www.penny-arcade.com/ and check out the comic http://www.penny-arcade.com/images/2006/20060315.jpg
Meh, the only RTSS I like is Savage, and the upcoming Savage 2.
As someone said before, you don't have to murder someone's child to show tell them about murder. Fire JM.
I posted about this on Pennyarcade and my blog as well.
Oh it's also on DailyTech as well now. http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=1209
http://www.theesa.com/piracy/index.php - report the piracy by StarForce here. What they are doing is essentially racketeering. And even though they're based in Russia, I'm pretty sure they signed that Copyright convention, so yes, it is very illegal. The incident has also been slashdotted. http://games.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=06/03/11/2049230
Can't say I am, but part of it is because I got the game for free from my old Drengin.net subscription...
Speaking of Crimsonland 1) The developers also noticed the similarities between RIP and Crimsonland 2) Crimsonland 2 is in development (GET THIS GAME STARDOCK, AND I WILL DEFINITELY GET IT FROM YOU! )
Hmm... from what I can tell of the demo, seems that this is basically a Crimsonland clone, with your abilities split between three characters, ricocheting bullets, and you can't move.
I tried having some transports in space, to control my population, but then the AI got nasty. Use colony ships instead if you wanna do this.
There are some hidden diplomatic factors I think.
Let that be a lesson to developers to name their files in English!
1. Buy tech. 2. Sell tech. 3. ???? 4. Profit.
Well, I'm glad I didn't wait around then (went ahead and reset my scores long before this, then played a new game for 3x the score of the flagged game)
Xeno Communications II, Xeno Communications III, Xeno Communications IV...
Meh, Monday (if it requires a new SDC, then put out the new SDC and be done with it!). Might as well come out end of next week then (I'm not kidding, Tuesday to Thursday is friggin' hell for me next week). I'm beginning to want a refund.
I am actually still curious about what makes it take 3 whole days for a game to be put on the servers for download. Is it some inner office political bureaucratic red tape you have to go through? Do you actually have to transfer the files on a slow dial-up connection to the servers? Did Frogboy draft you on the assembly line to pack boxes of GalCiv2 so they can be sent out so you don't have time? In a way, this is exactly the GalCiv 2 retail situation, but reversed. Ever
Befriend, then when they've expended their usefulness, conquer.
