Care to enlighten me?
A company collects data about you, constantly... Yes constantly (unless you don't want the newest patch that fixes that game-breaking bug that always slips through Q/A). It's an unnecessary hassle. And collecting information about me is wrong.

The game does sound intriguing. I think ti will be kind of like Majesty, but the heroes are controlled by idiots instead of idiot AI :) OMG how many times I screamed: NO MAGE, DONT FIGHT THAT GIANT CYCLOPS THING HAND TO HAND! It should be interesting.

The Half-rack at Gamestop that may still house PC games won't miss you. They are not in the PC game retail business, they are going digital as well. As for other retailers, you can't really call the stuff I find for PC at Target games per se.
After seeing that SOASE was 95% SP...and their core audience, you would think they as a business model they would try to grab that 95% again, instead of going after that 5%.
Believe me, MPs are not excited about STEAM at all. I am not. I played the game 95% online, even if it was a compstomp, and I canceled my pre-order.

Olden golden days you divide ur main fleet into 50/50 balance (usually by fleet supply), and sprinkle adequate support. Very standard is LRF + Carrier, Carrier + HC, LRF + Flak, HC+Flak for TEC. Oh good times.

I liked impulse as well... Before they started selling crap with 3rd party drm on there, it was paradise. Gamestop rapes everything, you should see the fiasco they did with my Civ IV Beyond the Sword preorder... GOOD GOD, you could NOT get a preorder more wrong. I show up to the store on the day of release (having had payed the FULL price in my preorder) only to be notified that the retard behind the counter sold my copy to someone else because he thought I would not come

I have submitted an email to cancel my preorder. We'll see when it goes through. I tire of PC market shenanigans. Everything from: "let's release it bugged and patch it later," on to "let's stick 3rd party(x,y,z) in it," to "let's remove x,y,z from it, and add it back in with a paid expansion." I mean dear god, what does it take to get someone to tell me exactly what I am getting, then have me hand them the money for it, and then get the exact thing I
Quoting Astax, reply 3I have but one question: how do I get my money back? You don't... because pre-order was never charged... Stardock don't have receive one $ from pre-order... transaction will be concluded only when they deliver the product... So, you can cancel your pre-order if you wish but don't wait after some money back that you have not yet pay...
So how do I cancel my preorder s

I have but one question: how do I get my money back? Oh god I can see my friends in the gaming circle ridicule me to no end for recomanding Sins Rebellion. First it was SOTS2, now this. I'm done with PC gaming. I'll only play boardgames and whatever I can get on my tablet from now on.

SO I cant MP without this crap? I'm sorry if getting in bed with Steam gets some devs excited, but I'm sick and tired of the Googles of the world watching everything I do, what time I wake up, when I go to bed, what I eat, what I drink, and what color my feces happen to be on this particular day. If it doesn't bother you then I'm glad for you. I, on the other hand, am very bothered. So someone please point me in the direction of how to get my refund, and we c

I doubt the devs will be trapped in anything. In original sins beta for example there was only one research lab, cobalt model was used for scout and scout for light frigate, there was no advent at all, and resource roids RAN OUT of resources. Also the tradeports didnt give credits per second, but rather gave some credits when a tradeship docked. I'm pretty sure even if we are in beta that everything wills till be up in the air.

Hmmm if as others remarked, you gimp yourself by going Rebel in eco slot or Loyalist on the front, then the design of "choose at setup" is not good. Also I'm hopping they implement the resource option to setup and number of militia option, with random for both being the way the game is now.

I can't say if it's worth $40, but I can say it's worth $40 to me. Of course I'm getting it for $29.95, but that's a different story. Regardless, this game is my final hope for PC platform. If it turns out that it's an unfinished turd that will never become playable even after dozen patches, like few other things that burned me over the past few years, I will be DONE with PCs as platform. And since I despise consoles, outside of few casual

Using a car analogy is fine. I agree that this would be a simple and worthwhile change. This game could use a lot of fluff that would make it infinately more awesome, but would have no change on gameplay what so ever! Things like multi-layer icons that you can piece together, with a laywer for your clan icon. Dual color sets, not just single color along with tons of different faction pictures would make this game much mroe awesome.

I wouldn't mind taking a slight step in direction of ground combat by having some sort of a troop transport that can assault and disable or take over structures.

1)Distinct HWs per race. 2)More econ balance (though obviously i prefer 3 different econ models vs generalizing all econ into one kind so its easier to balance). 3)Advent refineries. Buff refineries in general. 4)Tactical Strucutres buff (reduce cost or increase power) 5)New strikecraft, maybe something to counter the new corvettes.

I believe in redoing econ also. But this is turning into buff culture thread :/ I think culture bonuses should scale off of your overall culture. Like you should have a culture bar and your bonuses grow as your culture becomes more powerful, without need for research. And you can also then have a culture victory at the end of the bar.

Yes EA ruins worlds, that is not in dispute. I heard some things about SWTOR, but I am not intrigued by it. To me it seems like a cookie-cutter MMORPG, with less features than WoW. And being that WoW has 7 years of additional development past release behind it's belt, I very much doubt they would catch up to it in any short amount of time. I would not play another MMORPG that resembles one that I have played already, especially if it is very linear

I am playing DW:Legends now. It is awesome, but it still has some crashes/bugs that they are trying to work out. I feel it's the best 4x out right now, despite the few crashes I suffer. But the crashes can be very annoying, especially if you don't set autosave at small intervals. And late in game in a HUGE galaxy, the saves take quite a bit of time. Still If eel the game is very nice, very modable, and I can't wait till next expansion.

I have not gotten 40 hours of enjoyment from WoM, far from it... I will not be purchasing another Stardock game, unless hell freezes over. Much like I will not touch another Kerberoes release with a 10 mile pole made of "I hate you."
