I have put many hours into otc and not once have I had to submit statutory financial reports or reconcile my bank account with petty cash.
A new black market item to play against opponents perhaps? [e digicons]^_^[/e]

If I recall, cash has some influence, but not nearly as much as you'd expect. I think its one of those, reality is boring issues, where the developer has created some things that aren't perhaps realistic, and to me not even intuitive, so that things flow correctly per the game design.

I see we can by upgrades for the colony in the campaign. What for? And are there any more details on the campaign changes? UPDATE: Watched Zultar's preview video. I think that answered it. Upgrading the colony is a way to raise your stock price and demand for certain things from the colony. Zultar wasn't clear yet on the victory condition, whether it be stock price or colony upgrades. He also mentioned that the campaig

I don't know what they have in mind for the campaign in the finished version, but for what there is now, there appears to be the intention for some persistence.

The resigning person likely has other players who own stock. I could see resigning just before a buyout as a sort of griefing maneuver. So, in that case, does everyone get double their money back? I think I've answered my own question. This Steam article addresses QOS. https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=8571-GLVN-8711

You know that first screen in M.U.L.E., where you're trying to hit the trigger/spacebar to get a good plot, and deciding where the good plots are at the same time? That's the pace of this game most of the way through. I guess its like MULE and Starcraft had a baby, maybe. By the way, if you're looking for a blast from the past, planetmule.com has a remake of MULE.

Just got lagged out of a game. This game seems rather sensitive to lost throughout. Family member looking at facebook and pretty much debilitated me when they watched a video. I get that MP games don't need much bandwidth, but need a really good ping, so I'd like to setup my netgear router to prioritize ports for Offworld. Netgear calls it QOS. Does anyone know what ports I could tell the router to prioritize to try and improve my experie

This short story is true, and the purpose is to illustrate the frustrating endgame situation. I had bought everyone else out (4 other players), had 5 working Offworld's compare to the last guy's two, and we were in that race to accumulate enough cash. My stock price was in around the $66, and the other guy was around $30. He owned a good chunk of my stock and I his, his buyout price to me wasn't much different than mine to him. I was getting close to the

My name in game, is my Steam profile, and here. Can you create names in game, that is different from steam? UPDATE: Oh, I think I see. For example, I might see James Earl Jones, and search for him on Steam and find 20,000 entries. Are you asking for the ability to interact directly from ingame maybe?

My initial impression was that this was about repairing a building, and we already have the delay with the repair drone. Then I read it again, and I understood that this might delay switching over mass amounts of your base, or even the initial fast build. Might not be the bad idea that I thought it was on first glance. I only posted here to make sure others didn't make the same mistake I did.

Huh. I didn't realize shares transferred in a buyout. I'm not very observant I guess. That adds some information on who I should buyout first, doesn't it.
I feel like playing the robots is the most linear: go offworld asap. If you spend any resources getting water or getting sucked into another resource tree and it's tough to win. You have to get lucky with glass too, because if it gets too expensive you can get hosed. -Scott-
If they avoid the water line, that excludes them from the patent and engineering labs, unless they want to buy that too. I don't think the hacker array is over powered by itself. When people utilize multiple to double or even quad short a resource, it gets pretty ridiculous.

In another post, I suggested maybe taking fuel out of chemical requirements for Robotics, substituting something else. I forgot about oxygen and glass. I agree that its annoying to be Robotic and still have so many reasons to need water, but I'm not sure about a balance yet.

Very nice interview. It makes me more glad I got in on the ground floor of early access. Its not only because the developers care about making a good game, I suspect that's true of 90% of all developers, but I find I really like watching the game develop. In traditional releases, once a game comes out, there is the initial hype and promise of future updates, which vaporizes within a month. With early access and the quality of this team, I can savor the hype and watch the

The only other suggestion I can make, and I don't know how to do this myself, is to make sure the game is using the right graphics processor. If your i5 has an integrated GPU and you're using a dedicated one as well, I've seen reports where the wrong GPU might be chosen for some applications. While I'm running the i3 GPU pretty well (20-25 fps for an HD 4000), maybe your i5 is an older model. Also, make sure you're not in some power saving mode. I
Wouldn't you just need to have cash on hand? As long as you aren't playing on tighter debt, it shouldn't be a problem. Sell some steel or another resource, get the cash, and then upgrade, instead of trying to stockpile.
Its a little different with life support I think. If I'm trying to gain cash, and care less about debt, then I'm not going to produce life support, because that can just go to de
Perhaps.... add a life support component to upgrading your colony? Logically makes sense, have to have reserve stocks to expand: more o2 to fill the new buildings, food/water to feed the new colonists or more electronics for additional robots to run things. This would increase the demand for the life support, hopefully to the point of making it profitable. I know that o2 can be profitable enough at the start from dry ice condensers, but dry ic
