Seems to me you'd be better off to buy a touch screen and mount it on to your keyboard tray, then use DesktopX to skin it's work area with "keys". It would end up with better functionality, and be way cheaper.

MountainDragon, Thanks for the help, but I've never had any problems with transparent objects either until I set this one up using the object.appbarmode = 1 setting. All my other alpha blended objects respond just fine.
Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm not a big fan of themes that take over functionality that is already on the desktop. Since I can change wallpaper using properties from the context menu, I wouldn't want to replace that. My idea is to enhance whats there instead of redoing it.

I wouldn't think it's my drivers. I'm using a Ge Force FX 5700LE and 71.89 drivers. I'll update right now, but I've never had any problems so far. Here's a pic The wallpaper resets itself everytime I refresh the dock. I assume it has something to do with the way docks work.
I have created a semi-transparent dock in the theme I'm working on, and have noticed that when I change my wallpaper I get a glitch in the wallpaper display behind the dock that doesn't correct itself until I refresh the dock object. Is there anyway to have the object refresh (I'm just resetting AppbarMode to do it) on a wallpaper change? Right now I have it on a left click, but it would be nice if I could automate it. I think Vista is a very appropriate name since it seems to be an OS that is perpetually on the distant horizon (of being released). Keep looking to the future folks. We're likely to see Mac OS on PCs before we ever see Vista actually released.

This is cool. Up until now I've been using an app called EditBuddy. It is similar but it creates a custom menu instead of changing the actual places bar. One of the things that I loved about EditBuddy (That I'd like to see in "Enhanced Dialog" as well) (an echo of what Chris is saying I think) is the ability to have global (persistant) and application specific folders in the list. I've been using the Mozilla Suite forever. I love it, and will probably use it as long as they make it. I've tried switching over to Mozilla Firefox every time they hit a big milestone, but it still seems kind of clunky compared to Mozilla (atleast to me). I always end up sticking with Mozilla suite. I do like what they've done so far with Thunderbird though. It's sticks pretty close to Mozilla -mail. from what I've seen.
