I don't think the downloading bug is properly fixed on IE7 yet.
Could you be more specific? Are you still seeing the blank page problem? Or is it something new?

This weeks member spotlight goes to a member who has been creating some really stunning 3D wallpapers. That member would be Atomnet . I see he does much of his work in Cinema4D, and it's obvious he knows what he's doing when it comes to 3D work. Atomnet has been a member of WinCustomize since July 2002, and is currently at the rank of Apprentice. While most of his work in the wallpaper category, he has also submitted some icons
The downloading bug is now fixed.
BuckoA51, The images have been fixed. It was a problem on our end and I apologize for any trouble this may have caused. -Mike
We know about the download issue and are working on resolving it. It should work OK on Firefox right now, and in IE7 if you click the direct download link before the page tries to do it automatically.
Because there are no profile pages on this site. Please limit discussion on this thread to parts of the site that do not function, not features that you feel are missing. It'll make it easier on me to round up problems to be fixed.

The GUI Champs moderation system is completely separate from WC this time around. I will reject the submission and you can send in the correct files.
Has the GUIC site forsaken IE6 users like forums on WC? lots of borked stuff using IE6. Have had to use FF to browse site.
The GUIC site is built for FF3/IE7. IE6 will not work.
Submitting early does nothing to help or hurt your chances of winning. What it does do is free you up to work on other entries for the competition :D
Ever wonder how some skin screenshots show both an open start menu, and a window in-focus at the same time? Pretty simple really, and doing this can help you build previews and screenshots that show off the start menu along with numerous other elements that would otherwise be hidden when having an open start menu. This requires the use of a graphics program that lets you build images in layers, as you will be taking multiple screenshots and combining them into one screenshot of
Yes, you can submit updates
It's mandatory when submitting a skin for the first time.
The "Submit Entry" and "Library" links at the very top of the forum pages are broken.
Fixed
Can't reproduce the problem here. Is it giving you a message saying it blocked the automatic download? Did you try the direct link instead?
Shouldnt the guic site actually be functioning correctly? Maybe its just me but some of it seems completely borked still?
Could you be more specific? Saying "it's broken" doesn't help at all. As of right now, uploading, downloading and comment posting work, so we've got the major bases covered. The rest are just tweaks here and there.
The "Submit Entry" and "Library" links at the very top of the forum pages are broken.
Noted, will fix.
Just so you know, the team statistics (number of members) are incorrect, they are not counting the person who created the team as a member of the team.
Not actually a bug, just an odd design point. May or may not be addressed.
Give it another shot. We think we have it nailed this time.
Got the file, we're running it through the paces internally to find the error.
Noted. Thanks
Full-time employees can not compete. However, contractors and freelance artists who do projects from time to time are allowed.
Please make sure to close, reopen the browser and clear your cache, temp files etc before trying again. We published an update that should have eliminated that error. Could you upload the file to a server somewhere so I can download it in the morning and test it from the office?
TMB, We increased the maximum file size from 150mb to 300mb. Please try again. -Mike
Oh, people will still find something to complain about, but this way we can at least ensure more objective selections, not just who can get the most friends to register and vote. The results will never be 100% objective, because that's impossible with anything that isn't purely quantifiable, but by eliminating the popularity contest aspect from finalist selection, we can at least improve what the users have to work with.
