We can't do pre-orders with paypal because we do not charge them until a beta version is available. PayPal requires you receive your purchased item within something like 30 days of making the purchase, and we can't deliver a beta version in a month ;) It's annoying, I know. What we normally do is when a beta phase starts, we have a week or two period where anyone who preorders during it will get instant access to the beta. During that week or two we accept PayP
It should already accept .zip files (it's set to at least in the admin tool)
Just got the info... Elemental will be available via TotalGaming.net for a price of 6 tokens. You can't preorder it via TGN at this moment, but that is coming in the future.

No. Anything you submit must be 100% your own created artwork. Another user can consult you on design, but you must make the graphics on your own. No one may assist you with the actual creation of the skin. Each skin must be the complete and original creation of the skinner submitting.
Good Morning JoeUser! In case you've been under a rock for the last few weeks, you're aware that today is Election Day. So for the rest of the day and well into the evening in many states, folks across America are going to their local polling location to cast their ballot. Because the Presidential race is so contested this year, officials are expecting record turnouts. Already, in states that held early voting, we've seen massive lines and wait times upwards of 6 h

Impulse Mini almost feels like it'd be a DX gadget that ties into Impulse. I'd be all over that!
Every year here at Stardock, we do a Halloween lunch and encourage everyone to show up in costume. We give away gift certificates for Best Costume, Most Frightening Costume and Most Creative Costume. This year we had a great turn-out and the lunchroom was absolutely packed with frightening vampires, sith lords, mass murderers and hilarious bobble-heads, old men, cowboys and more. And, as I’ve done in the past, I come bearing some great photos for your viewing pleasure.
One of the features on my own wish-list for ages now is a streamlined, slimmed-down application view. Instead of showing huge tiled icons and massive text, just a bullet-list almost of applications/games sorted by category. I know I'm an edge case with hundreds of applications on my account, but even just with Object Desktop, it can be hard to find apps quickly. Each line would have a very tiny icon (if one at all), the name, current state (installed, updating, pdate
We deployed a fix for skin updating today. Please give it a try and let me know if there are any problems
Please remember to read the Competition Rules before submitting any skins to the 2008 GUI Champs. Specifically read the rule about eligibility. We've already had to reject several outstanding skins because they were posted to other sites before they were submitted/accepted to the 2008 GUI Champs. This is a rule we can not bend on. Additionally, all skins must be 100% original. This means that you can not reuse graphi
When a submission is updated, it goes back into moderation pending approval. At the moment we are working on a bug in updating skins, so all updates are being held in moderation until that is fixed. Additionally, a few skins have been found to violate contest rules and had to be removed.
It's on the list of clean-up items on the GUIC site.
Good luck at the new gig! (I'm so going to call you the first time the forums go down after you leave)

We have covered quite a few Halloween skin categories over the last couple of weeks. By now, you should be able to get a Halloween inspired desktop put together rather quickly. Continuing on, this time we wanted to feature some WindowBlinds skins with a spooktacular look and feel. Dont forget if you are a WinCustomize or Object Desktop subscriber, you get the Halloween theme free . If we misse
Reading through some of the answers in the WinCustomize Member Survey, I was surprised to see many didn’t know about the personal sites that each user can have here. Any member, subscriber or not, can create their own personal site on WinCustomize with their own personal url. Personal sites can contain a bunch of info
Credit goes to ID for the pick. He's on vacation for a few days so I'm covering his news posts. He left me with a few to fill the week out with, and this was one of them :) Congrats Atomnet!
Last week we created a short survey for members (subscriber or non-subscriber) to fill out. This is to get some community input on the current state of WinCustomize which will in turn help us in the planning of the next version of WinCustomize. Thank you for those of you who have filled the survey out already, the response has been impressive, but we wanted to send out a reminder to
