We do nothing to specifically block Crossover, Mac or Linux installs of our games. But we also do nothing to specifically allow for them. Impulse and GalCiv II are developed for Windows systems. They both rely on technology that is Windows-only to function. Impulse, which is the only way to get GalCiv II 2.0, requires .NET to be installed to work properly. This isn't an issue of DRM, it's an issue of software compatibility.

VenusEnvyXP, Could you list a few examples of where we've increased our prices on our own products 5-15%? Also you need to keep in mind that we don't typically do fixed foreign pricing on our products and just do a straight currency conversion on most of our own software prices. This could account for some pricing variation over time.

*shrug* The ads on the page help pay for the operation of the site and offset the costs incurred by members of the community who do not/are not able to subscribe to support the site more directly. There is nothing in the terms saying you have to pay. But there's nothing in the terms saying we won't make use of web adverts to generate revenue to run the site.

my admin view doesn't give me file names. I'm going to keep the one updates on 11/6/2008 12:29:06 PM (the most recently updated of the two. I'll bounce the other one. If that's still incorrect, update just the existing entry this time.

When we start a beta phase there is usually a week or two after the start of the beta where you can still preorder and get instant access to that beta. You have until that point to pre-order to get into that beta phase. We normally do 2 or more beta phases with our games, so if you miss Beta 1, you'll have a shot at Beta 2.

The reaction from the right to Obama winning is reminiscent of what the left was saying when Bush was elected... that the American people were idiots for electing him, that they had been fooled/lied to. That it was going to lead to a theocracy etc. I'd rather we wait to see what is actually done by the next administration before we demonize them and declare them a failure preemptively. On the plus side, at least no one on the right is claiming Obama isn't their president e

Like the rules say, it must be posted to GUI Champs first. New skins only. Once it has been accepted and posted to the GUIC main site, you can post it elsewhere. Note that in the future, all GUIC entries will be migrated to WinCustomize.
