Personally I see the skin community as a stone chip in a giant glass window, as time goes by it will continue to spread and exand into many different fractures, each one heading in a seperate direction from the other, but all starting from the same source. While just like that stone chip over time many of the exanding fractures will merge again into a large vein, there will always be a distinct difference. We can already see the effects of this in the members that are here. There are dy

splash you might want to look at a good video card at the same time. For the additional ram will not have much impact on screen res, without the graphics chips to handle the data.
nudity is a part of the world, yes some find it offensive and some find it art. The images I saw on the above site are not explicite sexual content and a lot less graphic than most of what you can see in a fine art museum. If the legal system is to decide what is moral and should be monitored, eliminated, locked away, then we are all in trouble, for there will be no end. If the images are not of an explicite sexual nature, underage, abusive, and etc then I personally do not see any problems. If
maybe we need to get the admins to create some walkers with the wincustomize logo on them. May be their biggest seller
33 I think ran out of toes to count
For those interested in the on going events, I have worked out and agree ment with hebus that is beneficial to us both. As I think a few other artists have. As for the primary source of this problem, Joystick magazine, I have located the parent website and emailed the editor, along with the person in charge of the cd content. I will keep you informed of the events. For those interested in contacting them yourself about your own works here is the URL: http://www.joystick.fr/act
the funniest thing about that, is that when I have seen it one sites it has a fairly good download count. Guess everyone likes the sense of humor.
Oh I also directed him to this site and the msg thread so maybe he will come here and work things out with the rest of the community artists effected.
I am not sure what you are classifing (jafo spellcheck) as futuristic and stylish, but my work is pretty abstract and there are some good links to other artist in the links section. http://www.mobiusco.com yes shameless self promotion...shoot me please
Ok all, I do not know who has contacted the webmaster for the site, but I did and here is what we worked out. I took the time to go through his galleries, and then listed all the images that where mine, I then sent him the nickname, email and url to apply to those images. He is going to go ahead and put the information up and section things off to list them as my works, as it should be. I found this to be a very fair solution to the problem, and think that it is something that benefits
are you asking about themes, skinz or walls? If you are talking walls, you might want to check with the individual artist of the walls you like, I know if my case I have them stored and if someone resquests the smaller resolution I provide it via email. Clarify what exactly you need and maybe we can help in a little more specific manor.
digitaljames, Thanks for the info, this has to be the first site I have found that has so many walls by so many artists without any recognition to many of them. I found almost a dozen of mine in just a few minutes with not even a mention of who created them. The guy has a nice site and would be worth the exposure if he would just give credit and also at least ask before posting them. But yes I know that is asking a lot, or at least it seems the polite things in life died years ago.
Programs: Bryce, Ray Dream Studio, Photoshop and PhotoImpact Extra: Large glass of chocolate milk, pack of cigs, good dvd or music, no lights Mental state: Un-determined at this time Well to me there is no set intention when I create a wall, I sit down and start working, I have no preset idea at the start. I just let things fall into place. My suggestion is that before you go out and buy any software try some demo's or the stuff you already have, see what is more comfo

desumu, thanks for the posting, this was definetly a wonderful way to start the day. A ray of hope burning away the grey fog of the mind. Hopefully skinz will return to the glory of the days of past. Along with the return of the wondering artists that have been lost since it fall.
is it me or have things gotten to the point that you have to watch posting any concern or question about the site. I saw the above thread as just the support of a few community members showing concern in a positive way and just asking a simple question. No offense BoXXi, the the I told you all before, and a rather discouraging comment back on something that was positive. I am very quiiet most of the time on this board souly for the fact that most of the time if you do show any concern, support,
yes I have also been mildly concerned over this listing notice. I thought at first it was due to the server transition, but now I am worried. Is there any news on the status?
an extended shock theropy session always seems to be a mental bliss for me and sometimes even helps to clear the mind of all the little men with their jackhammers
Wow I am stunned that no one has heard of anything along those lines. There are some extremely talented programmers and software engineers here. Maybe this is an idea for a new app, and even something skinable. The creation of an app, that has a client and a server side that will split the processing needs of applications over the idle sections of the other CPU's on a network.
A while back I was reading a computer arts magazine and there was mention about a piece of software called tyrany. This software was designed to split heavy tasks over many cpu's on a network. So if you where compiling a program or rendering animation you could use all the processing power of an entire network to process the task being performed. This is similiar to the Bryce Lightening Network rendering engine but not limited to the task or application. Needless to say I lost track of the magaz
