So I think before claiming stuff like "this is the only way bla bla bla" you should get more experience, because your current total of 12 games played with 7 losses doesn't really speak for you. I'm personnaly thinking you spent more time writing your post than you actually played the game
LOL pwnd.

Ah, ok thanks. Never mind. [e digicons]B)[/e] And THANK YOU for adding this functionality. Good luck on the updates, I'm keeping the faith. Best new PC game I've played in YEARS.

After patching to 1.00.0113 I tried adding the line /skipintro to my Demigod shortcut on the dekstop. I assume that this is done by adding the text (/skipintro) after the last quote in the "Target" line of the shortcut. In other words, make it look like this: "C:\Program Files\...\Demigod.exe" /skipintro Is this how it's added? If so, it isn't working for me. When I launch via this shortcut, nothing noticable happens any differently. I still am presented with the

Naivete is probably accurate (kudos for the refreshing honesty), but I understand how that could happen. What's more troubling, though, is what appears to be a lack of reliable communication to-and-from your beta testers. I was amazed at the forum discussion regarding the "click and nothing happens" bug. You reported that it was fixed in the beta and at least half a dozen players responded "No, it isn't". How is it that something that obviously broken could be so easily noticed by hal

Anytime a skill is considered too good to pass up and becomes part of essentially every build that uses the character, the skill is overpowered and needs to be balanced to encourage other paths.

From Frogboy: Well, we have on deck another update for tomorrow fresh from GPG: · Lord Erebus: Bite's Mana Cost increased, Damage decreased, Armor Reduction decreased Erebus was the only DG that I felt was OP'd. All the rest seem fairly well balanced, all things considered. Looks like the devs agreed.

I can't even log in to your Internet anymore, I keep getting the message that my username or password is invalid. And then it hangs, and I have to bring up Task Manager to get out. This is with the name and pw saved by default and not touched in the time since I bought this game (and logged in countless times). And it took 2-3 minutes just to connect to *that* screen. You've got some problems to work out ...

Count me in as one of the ones who previously worked and doesn't work now with this patch. I can imagine what you guys are going through on your end. Good luck. Hope to see this thing working sometime this week ... My wife and I are on the same IP here at home and we can't connect to any games. Sounds like a NAT problem to me. One of the guys in a game I finally got into was saying that he can't connect to anyone in his house, so sounds like he is having the same kind of problem

This is so laughable is just shows how naive some kids can be. Tell me, linker7, are you going to keep maintaining this list everytime you suspect that someone has rage quit on you? Are you going to make a note of it and then come back here and post all the names, and then when you're in the lobbby, pull out your list and consult it before deciding whether to play with someone? When the list grows to 1000 names how long will that take you? (rolls eyes, shakes head, and LOLZ)

This is a great strategy but it's pretty fundamental and a lot of people have been playing it as "their" strategy. [e digicons]B)[/e] My wife and I have been playing in this manner and haven't lost a game yet with this approach (knock on wood). We just played a 3x3 on Cataract a few minutes ago and pushed in our usual manner up the right side, took their back portal, and the rest was history. I was playing Sedna and doing the harassing, my wife was pushing as Regulus and we had a TB ro

Ok so it appears that flag control is the only factor that anyone's identified as contributing to War Score. That was certainly my assumption and what I observed. I was just wondering if there was anything else that anyone was aware of that also played a part. Mixed opinions on question 2. Miyamiya, what makes you state that the computer "doesn't get to cheat"? Is that a statement from the devs? Cheating AI's are notorious shortcuts to diverse "difficulty" modes. Has GPG explicitly ta

A few questions for you vets who have played long enough to know the actual answers (as opposed to just speculating, which I can do just as easily): 1) What exactly are the things that contribute to War Score and the most significant way to accelerate it? 2) What are all the differences that occur between "Easy", "Normal", "Hard" and "Nightmare" AI opponents? 3) What's up with that graphic of an electrical bolt traveling through a series of towers? Is this just pretty

There is only one reliable fix: wait for the patch coming this weekend. Devs have stated that it's already fixed in their current test build, they're just waiting to conclude the networking code fix that's the primary reason for the patch.

As others have said, the Favor system is broken at the moment. The good news is that it's fixed in the patch that is imminent. The most significant component of the new patch is the improvement in network connectivity, so even though Favor is fixed they're holding it up until they can get the network code working. It's believed to be coming this weekend. Until then, don't worry about Favor items, many games online are turning them OFF because of the wild unpredictability while it's br

The homing code might have limitations. Given the OP's statement that he moved *behind* Regulus and the shot fired straight ahead, it's possible the code couldn't make *that* much of a homing curve (180 degrees) and abandoned homing and just fired its default straight path.

You know that having a bunch of users pounding on the new layer will not only bring an improved experience to more players (and thus increaase overall DG Karma), it will also speed up identification of remaining issues. Unless you think it's possible things could get worse (hard to imagine, tbh), it seems like a no-brainer. Sleep on it and decide when you're fresh. But whatever happens, I've never been more supportive of a development company than I am of this one, you guys are a rari

I've also seen this done several times and always wondered if it was just a networking artifact or glitch, but the evade/dodge explanation makes sense.

I don't understand your aversion to teleport scrolls. I almost always pick one up at the beginning of each Crucible game. This game is all about momentum and giving it up to those long walks is too much of a disadvantage compared to the 250g that gets me back in the action fast enough to re-capture that gold in Currency upgrades.

I know this doesn't contribute to the thread, but I had to add a comment since you brought up noob's and their reaction to Sedna. I played in a 4x4 today and within 5 minutes we had a rage quit from my own team. The guy quit saying, "Our Sedna sucks, she never heals any of us". It's a good thing he quit, too, the AI was a far better player and we went on to win handily without him.

I think some people are misunderstanding what "build" means in this context. Of *course* they are situational and not meant to be viewed as static. That doesn't mean there isn't a benefit in documenting and understanding opening moves in order to appreciate why certain moves are good and others are bad. Just like in chess, there are well understood chess openings that are documented and copied. The best chess players know that games are fluid and they have good situational awareness that allo

While I respect accomplishment, I've never been impressed with kids who need to trash talk to "prove" that they're badass. The classiest players are confident enough in their own abilities that they can talk about their accomplishments without trying to put others down at the same time. I'm enjoying reading about the various theories here and I hope the conversation can continue without turning into a smack talking flamefest designed to prove who's got the biggest dick.
