Yeah! Lets take him down a notch or two... I see Hedgie announced our retirement. I would like to say goodbye to everyone, but most of the people I know from this game are already gone so it seems like its too late to say a proper goodbye. I'll miss this game... gotta say I'm more than a little bummed that Demigod's time is passing. Take care you guys... For all this games faults, it always had a terrific community and I'm going to miss you guys more th

Me ears were burning so I fired up my laptop and came straight to this post. Some might argue that you might suck even with Hedgie carrying you... but not me, I'm not one to talk. [e digicons]:D[/e] DoW II has a steep learning curve to say the least! If we could get someone else into our little cadre then we could play some 2v2's together to take breaks from being raped by random clanmates.
Man, so much Deep Freeze hate. Don't worry, DF, I still love you.
Ahhh... I love DF too! I just love it more for BotS builds where its free and you might actually be in the right form to use it once in a while. Also, I just don't love it enough to turn a good Fire TB build into a mediocre hybrid for it.
BotS adds to your mana pool, about 450 I think? You just can't compare to BotS for assassins, your buffed Staff of the Warmage would only be good for a general that had a really good early game ability and didn't rely as much on monks/blood to stay alive. So yeah, maybe I'd try out the 1600 staff for Queen, but it would still be useless for everyone else I imagine.
Teseer: Sounds good man... I'd love to get a few games in before this game dies out completely. I'll have OK internet on Sunday and Monday... and might have to make an escape to the land of great internet on Tuesday if those days don't work out. Oak is... yeah, I don't like playing playing against late game Oak's without DF in my build. But in most situations against most demigods, I just kinda don't see the neccessity in having an interrupt you're hardly ever going
Unless you're going at least a primary ice build, deep freeze isn't worth it until very late game for these reasons: A) It is a reactive spell and you will not usually be able to predict when you need to be in ice form to use it. Sure, you can probably get in the right form when you know for sure your opponent needs to port out but for other things it really fucks up your game to try and be in ice mode just waiting around for a hammer slam or surge of faith to int

Apparently, my crappy connection is only crappy enough to log me out of Demigod... I've DC'd from exactly 1 game of DoW II so far, so SC II should be fine... and that might have
I can't stand that :/ Did that with the the last couple books of WoT. I loooved the first several books of the series, but then waiting for a 2-4 years between books really made me lose interest I'll probably go back and read the series again once the final book comes out. Part of that was that the author died and another guy is finishing the series, but.. ya. SoT was definitely awesome

Looks like funsies, maybe if I get really bored I should write and epic anthology of Cowbuttzex's epic B.O's of doom as my parting gift with DG.
Who for? The Euros on a 2 am? If there was a medical term for what this game is going through right now it would be known as agonal respirations.
I think I have an extra copy that I tried to get a friend to play unsuccessfully. You can have it if you really want but I don't see why you would. I check out the lobby nowadays and there are no games going and the two games being played are called "So lonely..." and "Does Anyone Still Play?" I suggest you find another game to play. It was a deeply addicting, very fun game that had some horrible issues that stopped it from becoming the next Starcraft phenomenom... b
I love DoW II! But its kinda tough playing right before I go to sleep cause it can be a kind of intense game... Last night I had bad dreams I couldn't keep up with my opponents capping, and then it started getting weird... think I remember him sneaking a bunch of units past my front lines on some sort of giant floating baloon that looked like Huckleberry Hound or Wonderdog or something.

There's like 5000 people playing at a time so maybe some of your Greek countrymen will be on... its amazing how popular a game that is patched and
Eldon, I don't really have much of a problem with it since I play TB but I can give you a few tips. As a TB you can either go BotS and just guard the middle the whole time. Get Circle of Fire so you can farm creeps without going to the lane and kill his archers. By level 4 you can farm the creeps from the middle much easier, and combine the exponential affect of Frost Aura and Rain of Ice to keep his minions from doing hardly any damage before you kill them. The prob
MY PINKIE IS ON CONTROL AND I'M STILL ABLE TO CONTROL MY DEMIGOD... WHAT THE HELL?!
I on the other hand am shocked and surprised!
Swap can be well countered by the two instant ranged interrupts, DF and Pent. Nothing counters Silence because its counters everything. You can also overlap it with stuns without getting the "immune" sign even though its essentially a stun itself... and the longest possible stun at that.

Basically, my logic is that I'm never going to get your portal (since you're good) Oh well thanks, how nice of you to say. But now you're just being deceitful again, why is Thunder getting Hungarlians with his blade of the serpent TB? Hey thanks a lot you guys! Appreciate the help... I'll start the hardcore bitching process as soon as I do some better trouble shooting...
The filthy liars at Oceanic Time Warner Cable are my isp. Well, there are two places in the boonies that I've tried playing. One I have the option to hook up directly to the cable modem sometimes which I have tried and had the same problem happen. It does seem I can hang on a little longer when its just the short losses of connectivity when hooked up directly to the modem, I'll still be disconnected entirely when the internet service loss is for longer times. I've
The Problem: I started living in the boonies a while back and even though we have broadband cable internet out here, I can't play Demigod while hooked up to it. Most games I try to play I'll disconnect eventually, either all at once or it will take the timer a few episodes of lack of internet to finally disconnect me. The internet just randomly shuts off now and then... its really frustrating. Attempted Solutions: Tried playing in different places in this town, tried
Nice build for my next Random Assassin game where I'm Regulus going against 2 TBs and a DA... I never play Regulus and to say that game went poorly would be an understatement.
Shiva: When my internet sucks and I want to experiment with new builds, I use the Skirmish AI Mod to practice against Hard/Nightmare AI. Its not the same but it comes as close as i've figured out whether a strategy or build might be viable against real people. You never know though... I played some multiplayer yesterday and some of the builds I had come up with were rubbish even though they dominated the AI better than viable multiplayer styles. If you want to try
