Healing Potion: 3 Second cast time. 3 x 150 damage for standing in Circle of Fire plus 1050 Fireball plus 400 - 800 Fire Nova So thats 1900 - 2300 damage you're taking from Fire TB's abilities alone while consuming a potion that heals you for 3000. It's also an item you can only use in one on one fights with a Fire TB and not with one of his allies or a 2v2 or 3v3 engagement so it kinda wastes a consumable slot for mos

You guys need to watch RAWRRRR use Circle of Fire... in the right situations it can be an excellent deterrent. 450 mana to farm creeps and possibly keep someone from pushing you off the flag for 10 seconds is a bargain. After that bastard Orcun screwed me over in the tourney with yellow denies, I've been trying to figure out a way to get CoF at level one but its tough to use as a hybrid... you don't have the freedom to disengage at will or the deterrent of being able to chase peop
Quoting Thundercles, reply 524IIf you're using Fire Aura to run back to base quicker after getting beat up on then you're using it poorly. Disagreed. This allows you to go back to base more often and recharge faster than your opponent, but more importantly, it's used so you can safely push the side double towers down yet escape without a problem when someone ports in. Personally I run myself oom and very low hp prior
I'd like to make it clear that I'm not arguing that any build is better than yours. I like your build, I've used your build, Its a great build... unless you're fighting a Rook 2v2 IMO which coincidentally is how you got knocked out of the tourney? Maybe that was a bad day or you were out of practice, lord knows I can relate to that, but it didn't seem like there was much you could do alone in the lane with a rook with your build. A Rook is not a problem for TBs usually, bu
Big fan of the Teseer Triple Shatter Copyrighted 2009 All Rights Reserved... but TB's endgame is so strong with a lot of builds, I think you could do without it as a trade off to not letting a Rook have his way with your team early game. 3v3 standard rules a Rook ain't that big a deal, but in my experience you need to be the one on tower extermination detail in a 2v2 game unless your teammate is better equipped to do it... which was never the case in this tourney IMO. Okay, I ex
Sorry man... The only thing I learned that you can't play an effective TB if you're completely out of practice cause of crappy internet... Watched your replays. IMO, you have to tailor your TB build to your enemies if they have a rook on their team. Fire Nova goes from the worst spell in our arsenal to the best when Homey G Rook Money starts planting towers... and a BotS TB not getting any fire circle against rook is downright criminal. <
This post has brought shame to all things thunder related and I'd like to make sure everyone is clear that this is not one of my smurf accounts. To clear up any potential mix ups I shall list my other accounts here so as not to be mistaken for someone from Europe or Fresno or some other godforsaken place who substitutes a "3" for an "e" in his account name. Official List Of Thundercles' Smurf Accounts: (account names to be edited in later when I get other accounts)
Okay, lets hope hedgie is up for it... Mcshane, what timezone are you again?
Orcun and McShane, Available tonight? I think Hedgie said he'd be around late.
Yeah... no... eh.... Sorry man, just haven't slept decently in a few days. I'll test the waters right now and see if I can get a lagless game in. Otherwise I'd really like to get our game in in the next couple of days, if for no other reason than to give your next matchup a decent replay to check out.
Hey, disqualify me or don't... can't say I really care that much. I made a lot of effort to be around my good internet connection after we finally got to play Exile and Shred so I could get our game in with Orcun and his showerbuddy Macshane83. Unfortunately I hadn't realized they hadn't completed their game yet... even though it was three days past their deadline... so... don't know why a certain someone is acting like they got some sand in their vagina. IM
OK guys - there are 4 matches that are scheduled to have been completed as of Friday of last week and only 1 of them has been completed. Get your shite together and get your match in ASAP. This is becoming a little silly...
Sorry guys... thought I'd have been eliminated by now and the tourney almost done anyway so I didn't think getting this dog would conflict. And, I didn't know
Attention Pacov-Hedgie-Orcun-Orcun's Partner Sorry bout this guys, but I'm only going to be available 19th on... but thats 24-7 whenever is good for you guys available. If by some grace of little Baby Jesus miracle we get past Orcun and the guy he's carrying through this tournament on his back, then I'll be able to play any other games real easy. My girlfriend and I are about to go to the airport and pick up our new dog, which she is treating like our firs
Attention Hedgie-Orcun-Orcun's Partner-Pacov It was a Festivus Miracle that I didn't lag spike or disconnect during our two games with Exile and Shred... in fact the only reason I even attempted to try was our game was almost overdue when they advanced and were ready to play us. If I play at work its extremely distracting, I can't use vent, and of course theres a chance I might actually have to do some work in the middle of a game. If
Teseer is a cool guy... and Wip is the Douchebag King. Maybe opposites attract? Or maybe you just need to be a better person than me to stand playing with that ass.
They don't even have to die for it to be a failing strategy. Just watched a replay the other day where the opposing Occ let himself get kicked around for a very long time before finally getting Blood. The opposing players never took the bait and that extra monk healing and 5 hp per second might have helped his team keep up...
Yes, we banked too much on our practised combo and paid the price for it. GG guys.
GG to the both of you. You both played really well, but one of you COUGH needs to work on his monk sharing skills. It's unfortunate that it turned into a paper beats rock sort of situation for you later game... you guys were really messing me up mid game! I knew TB/Occ was dangerous, but jesus christ...
Lagged a 2v2 last night... hopefully internet is better today. I'll be off and on all day and hopefully you guys and Hedgie will be around as well.
I guess theres a very slim chance you're not trolling Orion, but just in case:
Except that keeping it in gives you more options. Removing it gives you less options. Why do that?
1) Because it isn't supposed to work this way. Why? I don't know... I'm a programming code illiterate but Ptarth says so, so it is most likely true. 2) Because it isn't fun. Its d
Are you both like Jennifer Lopez? Do you both like taco flavored keeses?
Actually, the whole DC thing varies out where I am right now. The internet reliability is really random out here... I might play five games in a day without DCing, or it might just totally suck and I give up after DCing from the lobby without ever even getting a game started. As far as my relationship goes, just making it clear, it is not on the rocks cause I play too many computer games... but it is on the rocks and me bailing to play computer games might not be the best thing
Shreddy, I was staying at my place with good internet the entire last week in the hopes we could get a game in... so I would say I have a lot of "interest" in having this match take place. I could go back there for a day and a half on Tuesday, but anymore and I'm pretty much going to get dumped. At this point my relationship might be over no matter what I do, and in that case my schedule will free up considerably.
Orion, this is not a strategy. What next? Are you going to say that the Forces of Light Control the Map invalid gamestate bug that Ptarth found is actually a valid strategy that GPG put in the game? Should he not fix that? Is getting Orb of Defiance for Occulus a good strategy that he shouldn't mess with by giving Occ a stone animation? I could go on and on. In this case, it's my opinion that GPG felt it was easier to put in the suicide mechanic because
The way I see it is that you could make this a debate about balance or the mechanics of the game working properly. This could be intended. The people at Gas Powered Games could have looked at their Magical Balance Spreadsheet and said to themselves "Golly... everything seems really balanced except for the poor Unclean Beast. Yeah, he sucks... but what sucks the most about him is his underpowered Ooze ability. What should we do? Oh, I know!
I was actually thinking about suggesting that very thing SStarkiller, but thought I might be going a little too far. One could make the argument that where would it end? You have to lane against the same demigods you did in the aborted game? You have to get the same upgrades at the same warscore again? I don't disagree, I'm just playing Devil's Advocate. If myself or my opponents do something foolish, then the game could have had a decidable outcome. If
