My internet at work has been pretty good, so hopefully we'll be able to get 2-3 whole games in with minimal hassle. Of course Pacov will have the ultimate say on disconnects, but if its okay with the two of you, I'd like to go with what Hedgie said. Unless one side is obviously dominating the game, I think we should just play again with the same Demigod selection if someone disconnects. I'd just hate to have some sort of "Oh, we win! We were way ahead on warscore!" ar

They way I'm going to solve this riddle, is to ask myself what skill the jerk-offs at GPG could have given the already miserably overpowered UB to make him even more dominant. Let's take away Foul Grasp, an already awesome skill, and see if he's better off with any of the other 5-10-15 skills Boulder Roll? Better maybe since he can level it up... but kinda nice that FG is awesome with only one skill point, boulder you need more to make it deadly. Batswarm?
no it was a long convoluted reference to cowbutt being a female cow with old, saggy, dry tits and an octopus milking dust out of them.
I'm getting a really messed up visual right now...
pretty sure i still win... not sure what I won... but...
Your name is far superior as long as Rawwrrr's suggestion of Octopus-Milked Dust doesn't mean that an octopus was trying to milk a cow and dust came out instead of milk. That would be the best clan name imaginable. But I think he means dust you milked from an octopus... which is just plain stupid.
Hedgie, do you want to take Teseer as your partner? I'd love to still play, but I'm starting a 72 hour shift tomorrow in the Land of Bad Internet and our match is already overdue... If we do get our match together, then we will be at the mercy of random periods of unplayable lag spikes, random disconnects, and people randomly setting shit on fire getting in the way of our game. What should we do man?
Heehehe... thanks Pacov, but I was just joking around. And since they decided on Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark as their clan name, I'm thinking about stealing Gamer's Anonymous for the new clan I'm starting. (the above is more joking)
Had I been invited to join this clan, I would have voted for Gamer Anonymous. And had this been a real letter, and not just a post on some internet forum, it would have been sealed with tears due to my mouth being too dry from trying to swallow this recent betrayal of my friends. It is your job to provide us with Orcun replays! You're sacrifice is for the greater good. And by "greater good" I mean the greater good of me and Hedgie. [e digicons][/e]
Jona is always on and a good player... I say let Jona and Tacoguy play Orcun and Orcun's Partner.
Jon, Mac, Exile, Shred... Hedgie and I are ready to party, so who's it gonna be?
Hmmm... either you're way more punk than me Teseer, or we're talking about different types of games. In a PUG game with mid players, then yes it is my hope to send the enemy players back to the crystal over and over and hopefully kill the opposing team's Regulus about a dozen times. In a higher skill game against tier 1 demigods, then I have to rely on my creep waves and late game level advantage to win fights, and I assume you need your insane level 15 burst damage to tu
Yeah. But anyway, my connection works! I got some games in today. I was rusty, but I feel I shook it off pretty quick Anyone have any comments of the TBs in the recent tourney games?
I watched a few replays and the guys playing TB didn't follow the cardinal rule of Torchbearer strategy: "Don't get chumpatized!" Everyone I watched gave up a kill early game as TB... so
Habuza I'm one of the somewhat rare players who don't mind playing with beginners on my team as long as they're someone like yourself who has actually mastered the single player game before going online. Heres some tips: -Its going to be totally different with experienced players so try joining noob games or host your own for a while and build up a decent record. -Be humble and take any suggestions your teamates give you if you manage to get into a somewhat experienced g
@Thundercles: Thanks, that's good advice. I guess my thought with the scaled was to avoid being as squishy as possible. I'd gotten pushed around the game before, and since they had a strong tower wrecking combo, we decided to get towers right out of the gates. Since my teammate was UB, there is no way he should have to buy anything except armor, so I bought it, leaving me 400g. What else should I buy? A health potion I guess. With BotS, I never
BadDaddy, I watched your second replay for a little bit but after seeing you pick scaled mail as your first item and then die right away I knew this would be a long critique... Armor ain't that important for BoTS TBs... if you want to slug it out pick another Demigod. Also patience is very important because you are all about the late game where Cats and Giants hit the arena, and I don't mean yours necessarily. As long as you don't let people kill you, and you don't let peo
Regarding the H axthias situation, here are my thoughts: I looked up Haxthias stats and couldn't find any games within the last 30 days... and he's apparently very hard to get a hold of... So whats the issue? NeverFuckwitaRook and NeverFuckwitaOak are teamates. Moving on.
Thank you so much for putting the time into Demigoddb! It was an invaluable resource when I was learning to play... As far as keeping the site, you should spend your free time and money elsewhere. The developers never seemed all that enthusiastic about supporting this game and what little effort they were putting into supporting it seems to have completely dried up. The publishers don't do much anymore but vaguely hint that there might maybe perhaps be
What would that guy Orcun do if he were here today? He'd hatch a plan and he'd follow through! Thats what that guy Orcun'd do... What would that guy Orcun do if he were here right now? I'm sure he'd kick an ass or two! Thats what that guy Orcun'd do...
For all of you with issues, let me make a little graphic for you all... ---> the time for helpful suggestions on pairings and bracketology [Event: The Random Making Of Matchups] -----> the time for playing the matchups and the eventual determination of the winner of this tournament according to the rules that no one had a problem with until they saw they didn't get a first round bye or had to face their friends in the f
Nomi: I miss you too buddy! Pacov: Thanks for all your hard work man, I'm pledging 20 bucks which ain't a big deal cause i'll just be paying myself the money when me and Hedgie win this thing. Teseer: Let me tell you something, pendejo. You pull any of your crazy shit with us, you flash a piece out on the lanes, I'll take it away from you, stick it up your ass and pull the fucking trigger 'til it goes "click."
I'm completely sure that Pacov gave himself no favoritism and him getting a bye was random... and considering the effort he's put into setting up this tourney I think its only right that he should have had a free shot past the first round anyway.
I have a job, two houses to help maintain, a 2 1/2 hour commute to good internet service, and a girlfriend who's libido is conversely proportionate to how often she sees me wearing a headset and playing "that stupid game" while Hedgie yells at me. I thought this was just gonna be a for fun... but you guys want double elimination, seriously?
with an e: Sure all online games lose their player base over time, but its my opinion that Demigod could have been so different. If things had gone better I believe this game could have been the next Starcraft... Latency and connectivity issues are so bad only one map can be played regularly and this game is the redheaded stepchild of the developer and gets supported accordingly... I could go on but its all been said before, but in spite of all that went wrong we're still here b
SupCom 2 just got a another major update This is just dumb.
Maybe Chris Taylor learned something from Demigod: That if you don't support your games post release, then the player base slowly loses hope and leaves... so you don't get enough long term revenue... so your kids don't get to go to college. Ummm... yay I guess? Good news for Demigod 2 that GPG can learn from their mist
