We could give out a small "participation" prize for non-top4 teams that complete all their games? I wonder if Frogboy might be able to help us out here? With maybe some impulse credit $$$ or free CDkey for stardock games rather then just a hard cash donation for this part of the sponsorship. eg: All non top 4 teams who play all their games are entered into a random draw for "participating" in the tourney, and are awarded a

And since the "support" that they did pay for turned out to be somewhat... ummm... well, perhaps lackluster would be the word? I doubt they will be hyped to be paying for any more.
BDaddy: I think I understand... so if say my team drops out, but we managed to play the two top place teams before we did and got swept by one and took a game but still lost to the other... we should still keep track of that for tiebreaking purposes? That sounds good to me. Anyone else have any thoughts on the issue? Still don't see anything about it in the OP.
BDaddy: Its not going to be fair no matter how we handle the issue. But... it will be less unfair if we just void any matches with teams that drop out. Much simpler as well. You see, there will be quite a few teams that are going to be like paper rock and scissors IMO. To say that since Team A beat Team B, and Team B beat Team C, then Team A would have beat Team C is not true. It might be likely, probable, alm
Since he is the oldest and wisest of OGT (Old Guys Team) I fully support Jongalts opinion on all prize related issues. I apologize if the following issue has already been discussed, but I couldn't find it in the OP. If a team manages to play a few games but for whatever reason cannot continue in the tourney, I'm assuming that whomever beat them does not receive any points for it? There might be quite a few people who will have trouble scheduling games and so

I'm torn... I occasionally still have nightmares of Orcun chasing me down the moment he gets level 5 and don't want that happening. Eh, just put my vote with McShane for normal to make it even.

I was thinking more of this scenario: Team A: Hey, you guys wanna just play with whatever demigods you want for all our games? Team B: &
Well.. maybe a leetle bit of the ol sarcasm, but not a dickish amount I hope... and I definitely wasn't talking about you Orcun, I hear your Reg playing is scary. I vote no on FFA selections on the third game. If players want to play with their uberpowerful all tier 1 dg combos, then they can agree to do so when playing in matches with other players who want to play with their uberpowerful all tier 1 dg combos.
2 games with demigod restrictions 1 without 3 games total. sounds good to me.
Well... since a lot of top notch players want the third game to be played without restrictions "for the sake of more variety" then I suggest we make the second game more restrictive... for the sake of dg variety of course. 1) DA, Reg 2) TB, QoT, Sed, Occ 3) Rook, UB, Oak, LE

Even if it looks too simple i think the end result will be pretty much the same as with your other system, and it will help making DG selection a little easier in the tourney games. But let's hear the community.
I
The window on Team Nomjonder seems to have closed. Unfortunately, I'm only competitive with Torchbearer which would severely limit the demigod usage our team could have. I played some random assassin games the other day with Pacov and company that reminded me of my place in the hierarchy of players when I don't have you around to tell me what to do... and when I'm not playing TB. Honestly I really don't have the RL time to practice and travel to where I can get good inte

Good lord Nomi, you Frenchmen are as quick to anger as you are reluctant to take a shower. [e digicons]:omg:[/e] Hedgie! Do you see what your sucky internet is doing to our friendships?!
I take back what I said about tier 1 players not being as good when playing crappy demigods. McShane just handed me my ass while playing DA... so, so much for me and my theories. Now I need to pay him $5 not to post the replay...
Nom or me is shafting you? If you ask me, its Verizon or whomever has a 5G cap on your service thats screwing you over. I want to play with you if we can, but its that shady Nomilaric that wants to drop you for Jon. Never turn your back on a Greek if you ask me. I think Orion's idea is really interesting and could be fun... except I don't really want to have to wait forever to play a team because they need to reset their Demigod selection by playing an
McShane: Oh don't worry, I'm not sure I'll be playing if we aren't using some sort of Orcun/Hedgie approved Demigod diversity formula so it don't matter to me. No offense, but I don't find tier 1 players as impressive when they're not all playing tier 1 demigods so I think people picking their own teams should still be fun despite Pacov's reservations. Howeer, I could be very wrong and look rather foolish... especially without Hedgie around to make me look like I'm a decent
Sorry, can't vote yes or no without knowing if there are going to be limitations on demigod selection. I abstain for now. I'm sure guys like Lebron McShane just want to play with their friends, and it just happens to be that their friends are the best players still around and will rape any team that plays them... which might be fun for them but less fun for others. If we can handicap stacked teams with demigod limitations then everyone is happy in theory. Of course
I vote make your own teams and see how it goes... with everyone so out of practice and competitive games so hard to find at this stage of Demigod's lifecycle, all you tier 1 players might not be as good as you remember yourselves to be. And if you are, it'll still be fun as long as its round robin style so us untermensch can play amongst ourselves and win a couple games. I'd love to play with Jongalt, especially now that he's been moved up to tier 1.55 but I'm n

A couple of thoughts on that Pacov: 1) I'm a mediocre player at best if this tournament is going to be FFA demigod selection cause I've never had much interest in playing the top characters... but if this tournament is going to to have Orcun's or some other method of demigod balancing, then I'm a lot more valuable to be on a team. Just something to consider when ranking players... 2) I personally would rather play on a team with my buds Hedgie and Nom (hopefully they fee

Pacov: I know. "As far as balancing player skill level goes, whats everyone thinking? I'm not looking forward to playing against Orcun/Zex/Zen with Nomilariche and some random dude on my team that we would consider ourselves lucky if he showed up for a game or two."
