I like using a minotaur to kinda yellow deny whoever is capping the xp flag on the other team, and give your team mate a boost while he's capping it.. Your minotaur dies too easily if you send him all the way to the mana flag... Theres a reason you use this favor with Sedna, its because she can actually keep them alive and get close enough to deny your enemies xp.

I'd shield everyone at the crystal and send some monks out with them and wait around and buy scaled helm... though if I was in a rush I'd just get scaled mail since the early armor and QoT's natural HP regen was a nice combo. I was thinking about the XP minotaurs I was using poorly as TB during Alumni Night. Had I used Sedna who could have kept them alive better they might have been somewhat overpowered. Also I could have kept the second one near the center flag and just walked him up when my ally was capping or when the enemy was finished capping to give +10%/-20% on each XP flag cap.
