game 1 - team 1 can pick any combo. team 2 has some sort of restriction in place. Game 2 - team 2 gets any combo. team 1 has some sort of restriction in place. Game 3 - pick any dg. That method would clearly show a superior team if they had a 2 game sweep. I still can't believe none of you are picking up on the most important concept - its the teams. Also - it's been decid

My overly complicated ideas aside, I think Orcun's proposal is my favorite so far. Welcome back man! As far as balancing player skill level goes, whats everyone thinking? I'm not looking forward to playing against Orcun/Zex/Zen with Nomilariche and some random dude on my team that we would consider ourselves lucky if he showed up for a game or two.

Since only Teseer was brilliant enough to appreciate my totally awesome ideas, I got another scenario for you guys. Step One: Identify number of confirmed participants in the tourney. Please don't count people who really aren't into it just to get the numbers up... some people were a bitch to get a hold of last tourney and their randomly matched partners suffered for it. Step Two: Figure out 3-5 Tiers of demigods and have every p

I'd prefer 3v3... but the idea of getting my 2 teammates on at the same as me to play 3 other people might be doable.. or it might not be possible with my schedule. We'll just have to see. Also, I've seen a few people voice their thoughts on Demigod selection. My vote is for some sort of rule to promote Demigod variety... I'm really not interested in seeing Oak/LE/UB vs Oak/LE/UB over and over. Sorry, having a Rook thrown in every now and then is

Its not like that buddy... unless you're really spoiling Dexter for me, then I will hunt you down and kill you. Even if I have to go all the way to Greece and endure your peoples shitty lamb based cooking to do it. Sorry I didn't get back to you right away, wasn't sure if I should PM you or send a Facebook message, or see if I could start "following" you on Twitter... wasn't sure what the best approach would be to keep in touch during life after Demigod. Anyway, forget S
Dexter is the best. I watched all first 3 seasons, and half way through 4th and then forgot about finishing it lol:P so don't spoil the 4th one for me:P
I love that show so much I named my cat Dexter... he always leaves his mouses in bloody pieces all over the floor so it turned out to be a very fitting name for him. Zenny, season four is some heavy shit... finish it up quick before someone spoils it for

Exactly what I meant, thanks Hedgie. Its better for scheduling, and everyone gets to play against everyone which is better than getting knocked out in the first round cause you were matched up against the eventual winners. McShane, can you get Orcun to unretire? I'd like another chance to play you guys if Hedgie is up for it.

I'm game for it... but even though my internet is better at work now, it still is unplayable at my GF's house. I'm only up for it if there is some sort of round robin format. The whole waiting forever for people to advance to play us while I had great internet and then all of a sudden "HURRY UP AND PLAY THESE GUYS RIGHT NOW OR YOU'LL BE DISQUALIFIED GOD DAMN IT!!!" as soon as I went back to having poor internet was a rather frustrating experience I'd rather not re

Nom: Alone in the cold!? A PM I sent to you a couple of weeks ago that was never responded to: "Hey man, are you still playing DoW II at all? I'm not quite ready to give up... maybe I was just waiting for Demigod to die out completely which it should any minute now- oh wait, it just did. Whatcha been playing recently?" And wait just a minute... weren't you playing it before I was? Damn Greeks always blaming people for there own issues

Hedgie: Actually I've been playing Build A Retaining Wall IV and the expansion pack for Yard War: Sprinklers Systems. I'll get back to DoW if you're going to have internet again in the near future... I've been waiting for the next patch to go live before finishing my hotkeys and I wanted to play a few more Demigod games before it completely died out. I'm picking up SC2 for the single player alone and was just seeing if I could play with anyone from the good old days if I g

PM me your paypal info, I was wanting to get Worms... and the name of your SC2 account if you're looking for a Toss player to team up with once in a while. It will take me a while to get back in form but I was pretty good at SC back in the day. Please, nobody post any Dumb and Dumber references the Worms comment.

To Pacov and Anyone Else Still Playing During Demigod's Death Throes: I got a $100 dollar poker tourney to go to in town but I haven't played Holdem in like 8 months so I'll probably be out pretty quick... just an excuse to drink a few beers and chat with a few old friends. So I'll probably be playing some Demigod for the next few days so hopefully there might be a few of you around for some random ass games? About The Rant: I only know Stardock from my experiences w

I almost agree with you Synn... last time I tried playing and had to play a general, my teamate on the mana side kept running back to the crystal over and over leaving my monk lonely, hanging out by a soon to be missing tower. Out of the few people who still play, seems like a lot of them don't realize that you heal back up just as quick with a monk while collecting xp at the tower as you do running back to the crystal after being in your lane for whole 3 seconds.

On my replacement Laptop. I promised myself never to play MMORGs after my friend's kitchen burned up whilst he played WoW... and watching that young lad try and jam a remote control up his own ass after his mom cancelled his WoW account further turned me off to the genre. I'll check out the site though, its just I have an addictive/OCD prone personality and have to be careful what I get into and if computer games are drugs, MMORGs seem to be the meth of the bunch.

A Tale Of Woe: So I had just finished dropping off my dog at the kennels and my girlfriend at the airport, and was all set to play some Demigod all day. Good internet for once, no work, no bitches... had my newly perfected Thunderdoomawesome Hybrid TB build ready to go and was ready to unretire for the day... it was going to be wonderful! I'm unpacking my laptop, which is a giant 18.4" beast with a power brick thats about as big and heavy as a real brick. But more

Analogies are usually flawed ways of explaining things... but this however I find to be an disturbingly accurate description of how GPG did business with Demigod. Hey... no ones perfect. Some days you knock it out of the park and sometimes your customers catch you licking the paint brush.

Teseer: Love the tactical zoom more than anything, but I hear that in SupCom its just a macro-fest throw your hordes of units at the enemy and make more strategy, with no micro welcome whatsover. I feel the SC zealots who thought the games interface for SCII shouldn't be improved so the Koreans could continue with there pointless microing of harvesting and such is idiotic, but I do need some micro to have fun at an RTS... did I get the wrong impression of SupCom?
DG1 is a great game, but the flaws are fatal to the game. It could have been a legendary game and join the ranks of quake, deus ex, starcraft 1 etc. etc.
I hear that. I don't know why, but it truly bothers me that GPG and Stardock don't realize how much of a blockbuster they could have had if only a couple of things had been different/better.
