Yeah, misting away from Hammer slams is awesome. Many rooks don't know to stop swinging, and waste a bunch of mana and cooldown. And heck, you still get to do a little damage to him. Mist can be good if your team has no other AoE damage. Late game, a mist form erebus, especially one with good mana regen, can halt an advancing lane completely. I theorize it is also a decent skill for getting gold... but I've never really used it that way.

Best moment evar: Zechnophobe has Killed Zechnophobe (1600 gold). I actually killed myself on my own potion a moment before getting killed by an enemy... and I Got GOLDZ for it.

The tooltip in your skill tree still shows the base value, but if you mouse of the actual skill icon it shows the modified value. I'm pretty sure this is always the case. But yeah, if it is a problem, definitely fix it first :).

So, one of the very weirdestly balanced effects in the game, is the one that decreases the cooldown cost of all your abilities. You can see it to a large degree on a couple favor items, and a decent degree from Sedna's Magnificent presence, heck even from Flags. But you don't ever really see it in moderate amounts for low to middle tier items. I think this is a mistake, a fairly noticeable one the further into the game you play, and is part of the reason you see end

This is a choice that has already been made. I mean, the entire reason that the Favor items are a feature at all, is to promote the concept that all demigod players are, at least loosely, connected. I think it is a pretty decent system. Sure it sucks to not have the 'good' favor items... but they are pretty easy to pick up, especially the one or two you want. If you are truly a new player... guess what, you lose ANYway. I agree that it unlevels the playi

Well, I don't want to walk too far down theorycraft lane, but spit has a cool down of 7 seconds, and you can de-mist after, iirc, 2 seconds. Either way, you are talking about spitting 3 times (assuming you still intend to spit post-grasp) and grasping once. A lot goes on during combat, you can't just assume that a chain like that goes off without a hitch. Does Erebus mass charm immediately after de-misting. He'll have time, unless you try to negate it with grasp. Is he

I used to play this way... and while it is somewhat effective at pushing the game towards the end, it has a lot less actual value to the team. Roll/Slam allows you to contribute to more combats, and makes enemies take you significantly more seriously. Boulder Roll also lets you help out teammates who are in trouble. a couple seconds of stun can get them out of hot water. It is the *only* ranged stun currently in the game, and therefore very worth it.

Foul Grasp is a close range ability, you are assuming Erebus can't mist in the middle, before you get close? Heck, as soon as the beast lines up the spit, you can just mash 2, and basically take no damage. And even in your normally plausible scenario above, Erebus does get a bite off, and then can easily mist out of the second spit.

My experience is that developers generate eta roughly via: min(fBestCaseScenario,fWorstCaseScenario). Maybe it's human nature :). Anyway, arguing with malcontents isn't going to change much here, in fact I think any posts not directly updating people at this point will be perceived as 'time wasted not programming!' I'm looking forward to the patch, and good luck in testing it out!

[quote who="Trigeminal" reply="2" id="2199486"]Interesting, I had not noticed this. I think what you are saying makes good sense technically, but may not make sense for fun. For example when I am playing and have let's say 400dmg: 400 dmg 400*50% armor negation=200 200*12% life steal=24 hp Now that's fine, but what is actually more fun 24 health or 48? I think that may be why they did what they did. 20 health seems piddly and

So a couple weeks has passed, and unsurprisingly, I've learend more about the game, and a lot of my preferences have changed: 1) Journyman's Boots These are *the* speed item. If you ever see someone flying around the map, and can't figure out why, it's probably the treads. Often a 65% increase in movement speed, especially when you need it the most. 2) Nimoth's Hauberk <p style="padding-left:

So, one of the weird effects in Demigod, is Lifesteal. While most games have this effect in one way or another, the DG version of it is implemented in a very weird way. Lets say you have 12% lifesteal going on. It would be intuitive to assume that the little green numbers above your head would be 12% of the white numbers popping up over enemy heads when you stab them, right? You gain 12% of the damage you do. This is not the case however, because most units h

Well, I'm not sure if Solipsate works, (How would it effect +health items, for instance) but the experience bonus' I think are pretty reasonable. You are losing a 'point' of abilities to instead earn additional points faster. I mean, sure at level 15 you gain XP a whole lot faster... but you max at 20, and then sit there 3 ability points behind for the rest of the game. It is a measured risk. But I won't disagree that the numbers may need massaging.&nb

The mastermind is a General-type Demigod. Mind Control Level 1,4,7,10 Range 15, cooldown 15 Take control of 2,4,6,8 random friendly grunts in area around the caster, they are fully healed. You may have up to 4,8,10,12 under your control.(They become your minions, obviously, later on in the game, this ability can control giants, catapults, etc). I see two problems that I think should be fixed: 1) Bat swarm is I think a little too good to be getting at level 5. 2) Level 3 batswarm, at level 15, is an almost useless upgrade. 150 damage at level 15 isn't worth the mana cost or point spend. My suggest is then to change the ranges, as follows: Level 1: 15 yard range Level 2: 22.5 yard range level 3: 30 yard rang

I honestly don't find Oaks shield that useful either. In niche scenarios you can get some extra durability out of it, but his other options are so amazingly good, shield just doesn't impress me.
