One thing that Sins does a bad job of is conveying the scale of whats going on to the player. I remember reading once that if you took a Kol battleship and poked it into the surface of a terran planet. Just one of the beam cannon barrels mounted on the front would crush an area stretching from Vancouver to well past Seattle. Probably more, its hard to tell.
I'm sorry, but that is one of the most idiotic statements that I've ever heard on these forums. What sort
"Many years of stalemate have gone by and the great empires stand, idle in action but frantic in growth. The great starbases hang in every sky, symbols of death but also of hope. Soldiers who watched thier brothers die at war now watch thier sons take up arms with pride. Dreading the day when the conflict begins anew. Citizens who once wished for survival dare to dream of peace. The great empires who before met only over the crossed blade of swords now extend empty hands in friendship.

I see Che Guavara with Fidel Castro right next to him. I see Ghandi, Genghis Khan, Osama Bin Laden, George W. Bush, The God Father, Napoleon, Saddam Hussein and Einstein. Prince Charles, Elvis, Charlie Chaplin, Aristotle (?), Archimedes (?) William Shakespeare, Arafat, Pavaroti, Michael Jordon, Alexander the Great and the Queen. Did it have two sections with green energy tendrils? If so, you are most likely talking about the concept art for the Vasari SB. It looks pretty different from the final version.
current bonus of free extractors on the resource rocks but instead of having it level up 0/1/2 it should be 1/2/3.
That bonus is too weak. TEC already gets an upgrade giving them cheaper structures. Free extractors are not a major saving anyway. If my change is too strong, then make all structures 10/15/20 % cheaper as you level up Akkan's colonise. Well, what about my other suggestions. Revelation definately needs boost and Seige Frigate
I use a mod that has that in it and it does make the cap much more useful. Espcecially TEC
I've never heard of this mod. Whats it called? Another suggestion that I reckon would be good is: Akkan's colonise. Change the bonus to the first structure you build is free at level 1. At level 2, the first 2 structures you build are free. At level 3, the first 3 structures you build are free. Maybe this is too powerful. This would make the

Entrenchment is mainly very balanced, but some changes need to be made imo. There is too much controversy over the Marza, I'm not going to discuss it. I will discuss other units which get less attention. Seige Frigates: Greatly increase their survivability by doubling their hull and shield points and reduce fleet supply to 7, BUT make them require 3 or 4 mil labs to be researched. Carrier Caps: Increase the no. of squads to 3. Make them upgradable to 9.<
And what? They suddenly decided they ain't afraid anymore? That defeating some more or less mentally unstable bunch of overgrown apes is more important than SURVIVING (not that there seems to be a good chance of winning anytime soon anyway) ? That seriously doesn't make sense.
Space is HUGE. It will probobly take generations for the menace to catch up. According to the lore, the Vasari exodus occurs in stages: Th Vasari captur
Ok, seriously now, why are people asking for nerfs for a unit that is not broken. The MB is not overpowered! The reason I say that MB is not overpowered because it is easily avoidable and interruptable.youve couldve done multiple other things to stop it. One would be to get your opponent to prematurely trigger it by using a faint it does not need to be nerfed, you just need to use tactics instead of blind spamming, if you see a lvl 6 marza, then run away or actually do something abou

Great ideas. However, the population does not dissapear. Population growth does not refer to breeding, but to that fact that it takes a while for your subjects to be registered for taxation. When you lose a planet and get it back again, you need to register your subjects for taxation again, because the records have beedn destroyed. Hope that makes sense.
Missile Barrage IS IMBALANCED. It MAY NOT be OVERPOWERED in general, but it is TOTALLY OFF THE SCALE compared to everything everybody else has. If every faction had "act now or die" abilities it would be fine. Right now, it's off.
That is totally correct. btw, I like your sarcastic changes to the other cap ships. I agree, MB is not an "I win button" it is an "act now or lose button". No other race has anything like it. Devs, please change it

It will be a long time before that becomes common. I don't like the idea of being unable to play you own game if the servers crashes.
Invisible, nonlethal mines would be a shocking surprise, but not one that can instantly kill players without remorse (which is the reason boom mines are visible). A surprise hit from gravity mines forces the player to either stick around for the ships to catch up, or to leave them behind to their fate. More races should have this option for their mines. Another potential mine type can destroy antimatter, or provide some sort of combat hinderance.
good ideas!<
Warning has to be there, simply because not everyone who touches entrenchment for the first time knows about this debuff. The same with Phase Jump Inhibitors. You're not jumping yet, so why the hell do you need a red warning telling you that the jump will be chargin 8 times longer?
Good point.
Vasari bombers are by no means better than any other against starbases.
You misunderstood me again. I didn't say that Vasari bo

You should not get so many cap ships. 13 is way too many. Get between 2 and 4 maybe 5, but thats pushing it. I haven't noticed any issues with scouts auto-attacking.
However, there is another usage, which means to build a particular type of unit in a "series" or "run." I use the term in this particular way quite frequently. For instance, when playing vasari, my typical pattern would be to drop a mil lab and run off a series of assailants
In this case, the "correct terminology" would be mass. You mass assailiants early game. Massing units is totally different to spamming them. Massed HCs refers to a whole group of them together etc
i think the OP was saying something about lowering taxes increases resource income? first off do you alter taxes on all your worlds at once? or is it planet by planet... because depending on the level of planet development (i.e. the first button in the planet upgrades screen), lowering taxes globally may actually be a problem, could cause some massive debts and you can experience your globla finnancial crisis in Sins as well as in the real world. second, im not sure if, real

When I first played Sins, I thought it was ok, but the more I play it, the more I like it. I love it now. I tried playing Galactic Civilisations 2 and I found it to be ALOT less rewarding then Sins. I don't understand why you were expecting Sins to be like GC. Sins is advertised as an RTS and RT4X. It is in a different genre to GC2.

These are all very good ideas, but the game will become far too complex adding all of them.
Taxes should be settable. Lower taxes means higher growth rate for all planets, and a slightly higher resource gathering rate. Higher taxes slows growth rate, gives you a slightly lower resource gathering rate, but more money of course.
This one seems pretty good and not overly complicated. I think that if you set low taxes on your planets, the populace l
