All Goon Squads PB was getting this energy but the UI wasn't telling him. Will be fixed soon.
There is a new next_version up with a few minor but notable changes: - Players in 1v1 start with 2 shares of stock. - Buildings auctions now happen next to the colony (so, for example, a brand new Patent Lab might be auctions next to a bunch of Lab Modules) - Power Surges, Circuit Overloads, etc. will not hit Goon Squads until they have no other option.

@Showcasemike - actually fuel costs are a little lower in Beta 10 because all the freighters got sped up a little. The fuel doubling happened in Beta 9, if I remember correctly.

@Kingmorgan, no school again tomorrow for my kids, so I can't do the stream at the regular time. (Kids haven't been in school since last Thursday!) I am tempted just to push this to Friday if that is ok with you. Same time? Let me know. @Lowercase, let us know if you can play immediately afterwards on Friday (11am EST). Otherwise, again, we'll just schedule something once we have a winner.

yeah, I put that score in on accident and can't seem to clear it. I assume I can change it if Heisenberg wins.
If you have problems with specific maps, please post the map seed (and map settings) so I can take a look at it. Reveal Map is supposed to fix most of this, but I am sure everyone would agree there is some limit where the 2nd spot is not worth playing out.
I think what surprised me about the nuke war was that neither of you protected your iron - it's one thing to start the war, it's another to be sure your opponent won't.

Yeah, the way I think about it is - how good is the 2nd-best spot? If it is pretty good, then I don't care if I found first or not. If it is bad, then founding >$40K is easily justifiable.
a couple notes after watching the first match: - Virtual Reality is now +50% - You can now unclaim a tile if you misclick. As long as you don't FINISH a building on that tile, you can unclaim it, which might have made a big different to GalacticWino in Game 3.
@lowercase - you are taking Kingmorgan's slot in the bracket, and he and I are battling each other for my spot. (It got complicated but will work out.) He and I are probably playing on Thursday @10AM EST. Any chance you can play the winner at around 11am immediately afterwards? Otherwise, we can pick a time after the winner is determined.
