Actually a lot of my friends ahve been getting tons of minidumps since 1.03. I haven't, though.

Uh yeah starcraft become popular due to it's solid multiplayer play. A good competitive game is what keeps it alive, it's how you have people still playing when the expansion comes out to buy the expansion. Advertising for IC is largely word of mouth. People badmouthing it's medium and high level multiplayer play is NOT good. And most people, I don't, don't stay newbies, but after them getting rushed by X unit become better and figure out how to counter it. I'm all f
Already in the works..
Yeah at first It seemed to me that they were dying easier in a game with friends, all 3 of us could swear assailants had been secretly weakened. But next games, na, was just our imagination. Jav LRM's are better than ever due to the massively buffed tec economy(which is result of the black market changes) and nerfs to other races eco, particularly vasari's(again, result of the black market changes). Assailant spam is basically gone, but the whole vasari race is hurt so that's a bad
Cost of 4 sieges(estimation based on percent increases): 3000 Credits 400 Metal 300 Crystal 60 supply Cost of Capitol ship: 3000 credits 400 metal 250 crystal. 50 supply. As I've said before, siege frigs have been removed from the game.
Erm how many people do I have to tell the math of cost of siege frigs vs. cost of siege cap? Their cost and particular supply cap change was silly. At what they cost now they should do DOUBLE their current damage.
The early tech costs is fine, 5% bonus to damage for 400/0/25. But 1300/300/375 or whatever to build things 5% faster? Yeah, NO THANKS. That stuff there needs balanced badly. As well as these mission bonus techs in multiplayer.. They should get replaced by something else in multiplayer games. The black market works fine now, it just needs price adjustments. And cap abilities imbalanced? You bring up colonize. You can't look at it liek that , you h
Complain to Microsoft. Until then: Start>Run>%APPDATA%, go back one level and click local settings is the quickest way to get there.
Oh yeah man, they're just out to get you. Lock your doors.
And there are NO units that the pros never use. The pros use what will counter the enemy. The only units I can think that pros don't use are: Siege frigates(never at all in 1.03, rarely in 1.02) Overseerers anddd.. that's it! Some would be used more than others, but for the most part if someone makes lrms, you made flak, if someone made light frigs, you made lrms(or just outspammed disciples as advent with just a few illums), if someone made flak you made light fri
The game can be not balanced for new players because new players don't understand what some veteran ones do (IE, flaks countering LRM.) This is largely due to armor/damage types and their effects not displayed ingame(takes someone who cares to know to look it up) and flak is listed only as a counter to fighters, not to lrms too. If in the flak tooltip it said "Counters fighters, and LRM support frigates" there would never have been a huge LRM issue. LRM spamming worked because n
How does tech1 metal and tech2 trade ports and making 2 tradeports prevent you from expanding? That is independant of your fleet and colony frig, and roids only cost 250+250+450/140/75. You send your marza in solo and bomb their roid. Tecs early game is so ridiculously strong now, and vasari's so weak. Advents only chance is rushing with disciples directly after capping 1st roid, before tec can outspam cobalts and then tech to lrms halfway through. :\
Uhhh newbies don't know what the game needs to be balanced. I don't understand this stupid argument. How exactly doesn't balancing the game for competitive play imbalance it for players that don't know every detail, build orders, and strategies? How does starcraft being well balanced competitively hurt it's casual play? Balancing it for newbies is what got us into this siege frig mess. (Hardly anyone used them before except AFTER people left the game. Not t
Yah they should of made a note of this or auto-archieve it imo. :P But i think it's to be expected that updates will break replays and saves, it does so in almost every other game. A warning still would of been nice.
No.It hasn't yet been 24 hours. Then TEC was weakened considerably when LRMS were nerfed. I haven't had any problems with resource purchasing using advent and vasari, so, whatever. Maybe I don't have as much surplus, but my research and unit building is still steady.
Uhm what? LRM: 10% credit increase, 11% metal, 25% crystal illum: 8.57% credit, 20% metal, 37.5% crystal Assailant: 11.1% credit, 18% metal, 28.5% crystal javs where nerfed the least. <b
yeah the enemy is 4-5 jumps away. There are some rare instances where the back of planets connect (top of the screen) I've never actually had that happen in a game, just the previews. I'll try and fix it if it actually happens in game.
lmao it's basically what i've been doing in 1.03.. I just spam light frigs now and tech to lrms slightly latter. (can overwhelm someone rushing to get 5 lrms with your 15+ cobalts and then kill some stuff) Credits are sooooooo much more important and tec soooo much better now because of the new black market. Vasari's eco has been nerfed pretty hard. And javs aren't MUCH more costly. Assailants and ESPECIALLY illums are. Javs I barely notice a difference. :/ I
Oh, forgot to mention this is map generator, thus it WILL work online, that is it's intent.
This is the map I tend to use for all the 10 player games I host. It's rather predictable, tends to have good phase lanes, few terrans, but 3 very nice deserts in the middle (however they'll have low allegeance without culture or unless you make them a homeworld. Yeah need more balancing work. They should talk to the higher level players about it, not reactor to newbie whine threads. >_>
:|......... wow wtf. :(
LRM: 10% credit increase, 11% metal, 25% crystal illum: 8.57% credit, 20% metal, 37.5% crystal Assailant: 11.1% credit, 18% metal, 28.5% crystal It went from 40 crystal to 55.. 15 increase! Did someone mean to type 50 for it's cost maybe? o_O They also have less combined hp/shields. Illums where the w
They're changed to binary or whatever for better performance. Not the format used for mods that you can actually read.
If you make light frigs then of course it's likely people will make lrms.. :/
