Awesome you gave them $40 and now you aren't bogging down ICO servers. :|

They seem to die much easier to me to where i'm suspecting there are hidden changes to their armor or something. ;/ But i can't see the changed 1.03 entity files..
I'm having trouble finding someone that can answere to how to get the 1.03 entity files to see the real changes. Theres obviously things not listed in the patch notes preview.
If enemy had a lot of structures and light frigs in 1.02, then lrms where the right choice.Wrong, if the enemy has anything in space, lrms are the right choice.LRM are even decent against their hard counters. The most cost efficient carriers (Advent's) cost 2.15 time the cost of a Javelis. For the same fleet cost, the Javelis fleet will have 136% the total health and 74% the total effective dps compared to the Carrier fleet.136% * 74% = 100%.Thus Javelis are just as effective at killing car
Right .. stuff I've already said. Why do people need others to do math for them anyways? Google is a calculator too, you know.
The new commands is good.. the lack of sticking that we had before and the lack of colors is baddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd.
Right. LRMS where too good because not only could they wipe light frigs, and did decent against carriers(unless you had a lot to kill in 1 pass) ut they'd do a lot of damage to buildings also. Flaks while they counter lrms, aren't much good at other htings. But LRMS suck now so be happy.
Rapture is bad. The damage buff for fighters/bombers is bad (range is FAR too small). The only good ability is the one that gives damage reduction, but the aoe on it is rather small. All someone has to do is divide their ships up to counter it, it only really works well on units z-stacked tightly because of it's aoe size. The thorns is bad. 120% damage returned is little better than split-firing. What I mean is.. build a disciple, have your friend build a disciple too. Me
I'm pretty sure you were the clan guy that kept dropping in our 3v7 game today. that ended up building a 40+ LRM fleet (along with your friend) and beating down two of my teammates with it. Obviously someone has more of a vested interest in LRMs being imbalanced than the OP.
Right, and i wasn't using any lrms and fighting two people at once. (PrinceOfTheUniverse). We scout use what beats out enemies. That's how you're supposed to play. If enemy had a lot of
I said much more than that in that thread. The first post outlines why you needed to, and subsequent posts by myself and other players. It's simple, without the crystal you're setting yourself minutes behind. Credit income is much faster than you need early on, while crystal income is much slower than you need.
This issue has been basically resolved in 1.03. So I guess I owe IC a thanks. Though it'd still prefer -700 starting credits +200 crystal, as there is slight unevenness but it's nothing to whine and moan about like we were in 1.02. Now with the market when you buy metal/crystal the price slowly creeps up to some point(i imagine) instead of popping up +50 each buy. So after you buy you see the price going up. This system is way way way way way nicer. Though damn th
I've already done it dozens of times in the other thread.
Bombers+support cruisers. Having LRMS doesn't hurt, as lrms have high DPS and dont do much reduced damage to them(75%), but they aren't exactly a counter.
11cred/sec is 660 credits a minute. 14cred/sec is 840 credits a minute. .5 crystal/sec is 30 crystal a minute.(so 6.6~ minutes to get 200 crystal) 200 crystal costs 650 credits on market(this is adjusted now) That's all I'm saying. You do the math. I'm sick and tired of explaining this to you guys, especially with all the experience I have maybe you should just trust the experienced players that ALL know this.
still remains.. how do you view 1.03 entity files?
I tried reextracting REferenceData form the mod package and it's the ones from 1.02 or something.. How do I see the new ones? The ones in my game folder are binary or whatever.
even light frigs are dropping LRMS fast now. If you send an assailant against militia you see it taking sooo much damage per hit.
It seems to me there are changes to 1.03 that aren't in the patch notes. Either LRM's armor got changed, or the armor/damage types bonuses/reductions have been modified. LRMS die like scouts now, which isn't nessisarily bad. They die like they kill now, seems fair and good, and unlike the shittorm we were expecting from teh patch notes. Also seems flaks do far less damage than they already did to lrms. I'd guess soemthin
Yep gg advent >_>
You can self destruct ships but you still have to hurry and build more before the slots fill up again. It would be nice to be able to disable/enable the ability at will though, but I guess that might piss off the ghost fleet or whatever
Turn off autocast on your phase stabs.
No a big reason you need to micro is that the ai's autocasting is usually bad, and the AI doesn't know how to position fleets. AId oesn't knwo to put flaks int the middle so 2-3 or more guns fire. They also need to make units auto-focus-fire on the weakest units(Taking into account their turn rate)
Evacuators only good ability is the planet sucking. The armor reduction and DPS is poor compared to so many other DPS abilities other caps have. The gravity warhead requires you to face the target(the whale turns and moves slow as hell) and is only effective with PJI. The cap is so weak damage wise that people aren't going to be running away to give you a chance to use grav warhead.
advent have access to a lot of fighters much sooner than tec/vasari via getting carrier cruisers sooner and the hangers soonerThank you for pointing out what seemingly all the posters so far seemed to ignore
Yeah 5 carriers are going to do great against 25 assailants with 20% higher hp and 9k range.
"only those amatures here who fail to understand basic math actually need that extra 200 crystal and have spare cash. For more experienced players like me it is the other way around." Uhm.. Sorry but you're the one that fails in math if you think you need credits and not crystal at start. All the experienced players know this. IF you disagree, then no offense, but well you get the idea. It's not a matter of opinion, or choice, it's a REQUIREMENT to buy 200 at the st
Oh and like the above person mentioend, after people quits yeah people stop building ships and jsut mass siege frigs to clean up to get the win. I hope those stats are correctly decyphered. :/
