We don't need Europeans. Some of them speak funny languages and the women don't shave their arm pits. This is a fact, btw.

Erm no Annatar.. for 400/0/25 you can buy another ship when you have 20 ships, and that's a 5% increase in damage AND health AND shields. It's really 1200/0/75 to get 5% bonus to the whole ship. I'm quite detailed and exacting with my math.. and I'm not the first to add this up. So sorry, Annatar. That's just with the tech 1 upgrade. Now look at the cost of the tech5 ones. As I said, even with 50% you need a ton of ships to make the techs worth the upgrade cost.<br/
I wouldn't pay $50 a year for a membership, sorry, and I'm NOT stupid. I always like to KNOW what I'm getting, even if it's from a trusted source, before I shell out my money. The recent subscription debacle with Hellgate:London is an example of why I'd much rather have standalone expansion packs. -- Retro
Well 10 million do with xbox live..

/edit Deleted all i wrote. You don't want to read all that long crap. Simpple version.: $50 a year "Premium Impulse Membership". * This lets you particapate in tournaments where you can win money, and a decent number of people can actually win, and they are actually REGULAR. Not one every 6 months and 3 guys get $2000bux. - Free mini-expansions for cheap prizes in these tournaments, actual money for the big ones like gpgnet tournaments do, so you have

Yes you make a point that RA is so independant on eveyrthign else you do. You get 8 labs, make phase stabs, get the tech, then research fleet caps. It's so far different than the rest of the game. And why buff RA late game? Uhh.. it's not THAT good late game. It's just on par with tec's ecospam for middish late game. What's too good about RA is when you get it in 20-45 minutes. :| You have to look at the races as a whole as well. I played Va

Last time I gave jst some simple suggestions on what I felt where hte most important aspects of the game to balance (primarily LRMS, carriers, yada ya.) 1.1 was supposed to be more in depth balancing the devs said, so I have more in depth suggestions. Of course I'll make suggestions for how to balance the ships and other things, it is too soon for that. I'll put in at least 100 hours and discuss a lot with other good players before I think I have an idea for that. <br

YES! YES! YES! But I think the game needs better balancing before tournaments.. so you have time to get it more organised. :) The replay idea isn't terrably good because theres no rules for what settings, what maps, so on.. It would be nice if you had "flavors" to the tournaments. Big maps only. Small maps only. Of course as you said singles, teams. Vasari/Advent/Tec/Random only(these shouldn't happen often). But until then just both teams agreeing on

culture: 1. It spreads and when it touches a planet it lowers that planets allegance. Allegance effects extraction rates, and tax rates. A planet at 0 allegance becomes unowned. Planets in hostile culture cannot be capitalize. 2. The player colored lines. 3. see 1. 4. It increases the spread rate and allegance change rate, but there is a cap of change per second. IMO 8 cultures on one planet doesnt' do nearly what it should.. and is so easily stopped. 5. Yes but

It sounds like it improperly overwrote your gameplay.constants file or whatever.. I don't know. I'd say go to one of those site s where you can paste text, like code, and get a temporary link, so I could look it over.. But the problem is that those entity files for the official game are in binary so not decipherable. :)

I told you guys.. Sure Illums got buffed about 15-20% and they are Antimedium now, thus do like double damage focus firing against light frigs, and do more against other lrms. But their cost was raised 30% in 1.03, and this was not reverted back in 1.04. Not to mention, their survivability was lowered in 1.03. Now it's gone up SLIGHTLY higher than from 1.02. But it's not that 200 increase you think it is, seeing as how it lost 80 or 120 in 1.03. So I mea

Advent Drone hosts should cost 40 crystal.(Makes them more equal to Vasari's, or better even. Makes up for their t3 illuma bit. Advent usually hurts for crystal, Carriers being decent for crystal cost leaves them something to build besides disciples and flak.) Tec Carrier 55(has the worst squadrans) Vasari's 60(has the best squadrans and fastest building)
Perhaps it will keep the poor newbies I play from building carriers, which leads to their downfall
<br/

Personally I'd rather have 30 Demigods than 8 with pretty looking weapon changes.. And have 20 weapons instead of 3. Since, if there are 8 demigods, and 3 weapons, that's 24 weapons that need models/textures/shaders/effects if applicable. After all, the Rook has a big hammer, it fits it. So presumably any weapon it gets would be a hammer. While this may have the same stats across all Demigods, same effects, same bonuses, itd appear on the Rook as Hammer. A Torch for the

You're actually right and I gave a bad example.. But it's like you say, some games take it to extremes. I really think something like "light, medium, strong" and "light, medium, strong" armor and damage type is enough. It's enough to simulate arrows being great against lightly armored/unarmored looking weak targets, but the arrows basically bouncing off thick armor and buildings, among most other things. And the rest of the balance can be handled more intuitively. <b
