Carriers simply dont carry enough squds at the beginning and mid game you'll have cruisers to replace carriers. The support abilitys are kinda lame too. so no, carriers are free xp for your enemy. And their main weapon is negated by bunch of flak frigs so....

The key to using returning armada ist to "stab up" and "Supply up". Im talking about a seriuos incestment that will make or break your game. you need at least 12 stabs to get any real benefit out of it. Why? The "strenghth" of RA is your ability to fight a war of attrition on a scale only the TEC can realy compare with. Its about sending all those frigates, cruisers and carriers to your enemy to snipe key buildings (tradeports, culture spreads, labs, shipyards) then go to

It is an upgrade for phase gates, its at the end of the empire (civil) tree, and as such requires 8 imperial labs. Returning armada, thats the actual name, will call reinforcements for you which are send from the remnmants of the dark fleet (yknow, the once feared vasari fleet). Each phase stailizer will call in several cruisers/frigates (depoending on your level of returning armada) for you, for free. It only costs the antimatter of that stabilizer. In short: once you have returnin

btw: the kortuls main weapons (beams) are placed on its sides, to realy get the most out of it you have to place it inbetween a group of targets. So its beams will zap all over the place and create all kinds of problems for you opponent. Don't let it sit around using only its forward weapons. They suck compared to the beams. If youre looking for a "stare the mdown" type of ship go for the desolator, at level 6 it will gain semi god mode too.

tell me, oh wise ones, how am i supposed to protect dozens of traders roaming around like everywhere? Traders that can be sniped most easily by fighters, bombers, lrm frigs, assailants, cruiser jousts (kodiaks...) and the like? So, before you start trying to break the credit economy by making tradeships a drain on the player, try to find a way for the player to actualy guard them effectivly first. thx.

One thing id like to add: Its Capital Ships. Focus on the a there. What the hell would you wanna do with a capitol ship? Hold a senate session?!

1. scuttle any defenses at your core worlds and replace them with phase stabilizers. 2. Once they are charged with am and rdy to be used, send in all of your ships (not the caps/bombers though) to meet the enemy. Do the "do the most damage possible" routine. 3.) Focus on high level capitals with that first strike, then go after the smaller fries. Your goal is to achieve maximum economic atrition on your target. 4.) After all your ships are dead, activate returning aramada, group th

[quote] yes. i believe you get a flat 1.3 /minute for every trade post, period regardless of how many other posts are in that grave well. You get more by having long trade routes. I don't think having multiple posts in the grav well boost the size of the trade route though. And if the devs were smart, it should be much more efficient to build a post that lengthens your trade route than build another post in a grav well that already has one. Like 2 or 3 times more

try using frigs, lrm frigs and support cruisers to fight the rebels. don't divert your main fleets. Its your turf, so repair bays will heal you constantly while fighters will maul your enemy alongside your little defense group.

Well, you can always go to an online games retailer of your choice, they usualy import US versions of games or at least offer the service. But anyway, sign up for paypal (wont cost yo uanything) deposit some money there (again, won't realy cost you anything) and off you go.
