A major issue I find with game/AI balance is that even early on, it becomes possible to have ships with 20+ moves. In the later stages, you can have ships with several hundred moves. This makes in virtually impossible to build any sort of defensive line - if you put your forces in a forward position, high speed transports can run right past them and conquer all worlds that are anywhere near the front line in the first turn. I

hi. If by planetary spending wheel you mean the thing where i put a planet into a specialized role and decide to emphasis production on something (like either money, research or manufacture), then i am asking you to shelve your plans to remove that. Generalist planets suck especially since the tile placement is so random so one can not even use adjacency very often, especially not with being forced to multi role the sucker. If that is not

Everythign dies way to fast in this mod. scouts barely make it past 2 systems, capitals die in medium sized battles even without being focus fired. System defenses are to easily outrangedm, starbases die like capitals. did you mess with shield mitigation? btw: titans? one would think the jemmy dread be a good ttian... being the freaking honking giant that it was in ds9.... </

the kortul is one of the nastiest, worst things you can face. Becasue of the damage? hell no. Weapon damage on capitals is irrelevant. The kortuls nastieness comes from being able to both heal itself and increase its own abilitey to cripple you. Disruptive strikes will eat your antimatter, and since power surge not only heals the kortul but also makes it shoot faster.... 2 (better 3) of these will cripple titans, ca
Quoting Levelheaded, reply 24 Advent: Both titans are horrible and instead of buying those you should get more radiances to brilliance the enemies fleets to death. Last time I checked the Eradica Titan is one of the most powerful and that it's only real drawback is the lack of a level 6 ability (ie having to die to use).
its self boosting

hahaha. i cannot believe this is not mentioned: You need: 1x Vasari Rebel Titian however many kortul you might want to abuse. Here is the kicker: The kortul starts with 2 insanely powerful abilites: The drain antimatter on hit abilitie (disruptive strikes) and the power surge. The kortul is probably also the hardiest cap in the game since its self healing is so good. Anyway: Th

Basically, have orgov and the advent starfishies lob their torpedoes/plasma vomit against titans. Because the ship is so huge, it should be a viable target. It would certainly releive some of the issues we have seen regarding the titans power. And instead of nerfing them, i say make them a target for the siege equipment XD

Yesterday one of my asteroids got hit by a Novalith Warhead and I didn't lose control of it. I did have a Shield Generator around the planet, so maybe that does actually have influence. I'm not sure though.
Yes, shield gens nullify some damage. Heres how much: 2450 damage per hit if

Last tiem i checked, titans are not subject to crowd control abilities like magnetize. That aside: The ship is clearly intended to be used in conjunction with a supporting group of marza/dunov caps. Combine it with command cruisers, hoshikos and the general TEC melange of bodies to for ma wall of battle and you get a serious threat. Inversely, while the Ankywhatamacallit has superior wall abilities (not to ment
OK, I got my first taste to playing the Rebels against the Loyalist on Cruel Aggressor tonight and it was very disapointing. The Novalith needs to be toned down, the AI just kept building these and spam firing them. It was rather rediculous actually. There's no hope of winning a game if you can not defend against the Novalith Cannon. I would suggest that the Shielding you can research and put around a planet have the ability to als

Conquest, frontier wars had a rather solid supply mechanic. It also happened to have the most epic terran batteships and dreadnoughts to ever grace a game with their presence. just loved the thump thump thump of the heavy guns.....

Actually, chemically propelled artillery shells make the most sense. - muzzle flashes - having those means something in the gun barrel is ignited. Looks like fire, might as well be fire. - The speed of the shells is relatively slow - firing explosive shells out of rails guns makes little sense in space. Solid slug goign really fast = OMGPWNED. Shell filled with exploded accelerated really fast = epic fail in your face (gunbarrel) - As for v

We've been waitin for a story for a while. Devs said they'd do a campaign but the way they want to. Translation: We've moved on to Demigod and Elemental but we'll release Diplomacy and a third micro-expansion to see if we can squeeze a little more money out of sins.
GPD Devlopes De

Good and Evil have always been a part of games. There have been Heroes, Villains and shades of gray. The Good, the Bad, the Ugly. Part of that epic struggle betwen Good and Evil has often been the Player. Based on his decision the story and world could change with the Avatar being no exception. Sometimes the changes were Realy well fleshed out, other times its barely noticeable. <span style="font-size

Heh. I'm not in need of another game-just-like-elite-but-15-years-to-late-to-keep-my-interest and i have no interest in zombies or RTS about people diggin in dirt. Its either spaceships duking it out, giant robots mowing down other slightly less giant robots or people in power armor carving each other up with heavy ordnance. As far as the new addon for a murder of crows is concerned: i know. thx. in my mind i have already bought, played and enjoed it (i never said Sots was a BAD

BATTLEFORGE FREE 2 PLAY! as a sidenote: Why aren't we seeing more games like nexus? First things first: I was gobsmacked when i learned today that BATTLEFFORGE has become free 2 play. In what i can only describe as a colossal kick in the guts for everyone who bought the game when it still changed hands for 50 bucks, EA must have decided that selling a game at full price
