@Delmoroth: Do you want to give examples of annoying game mechanics? Nothing has really annoyed me.
It's just plain silly. They patched in additional DRM, as if that's going to impact pirates who aren't using the game via Steam in the first place and won't even receive the update. It does absolutely zero but inconvenience paying users.
Damn, and I just today decided to buy it legitimately too. I guess that was a poor de

Yeah... why not make it available to everyone that'll be getting it for free all at once? Is it just to avoid a flood of duplicate bug reports (and feature suggestions and whatnot) in the pre-bugtest environment? Seems to me the community isn't big enough that that needs to be a major worry.

The content of a game should not be split off into pre-order content or DLC. That's the biggest issue with today's market, really. Additions should be actual additions, not bits of the original that are dangled over your head.
Quoting Trojasmic, reply 5My question is will every game have the exact same number of wildlands or will every game be different? For example, if there are only 5 wildland types, will every map (small, medium, or large) have exactly the same 5 wildland types or is it different than that? It doesn't really work that way. It's more akin to there only being one type of Wildlands in a given game typically. I guess if

Only major thing I dislike about it is the gods of the Nords are pretty much absent. Aside from a very few cases of using the nordic names Ysmir and Alduin for Talos and Akatosh, it's all the Imperial Cult. I know the Empire's been imposing it's religion on Skyrim for a while now, but I'd still like to hear the stories of Shor and Tyne, and the deceits of Herma-Mora and things like that.

What's wrong with the cloth map? I play that way pretty much exclusively by choice. It's a simpler look and represents things more clearly. 3 FPS is a hassle, though. Don't you guys get to buy fancy machines with company money that should help offset the system resource costs of bugtesting?

Persons of importance could be captured instead of outright killed, ransomed based upon some calculation of their worth (XP, items, etc.), and if the ransom is refused, executed? [Edit] Let me clarify further: If a champion reaches 0 hp in a tactical battle and his/her side wins, he/she doesn't die but instead needs to take a random negative trait and/or stat r
Just like in D&D; a death (and resurrection) costs 1 point in constitution; or one level.
That's way more boring than a negative trait, though. Also I don't think they have things set up such that they can easily take levels off, but taking a Con point off is a pretty good thing for a negative trait to do.

One thing I noticed in this thread that nobody commented on: Visually, the tactical battles look way better than they did in WoM. The UI is pretty, the animations are realistic, and the armor designs look interesting. I like the negative traits idea. It would be cool if any time death would occur, a champion would instead have a small chance to die, and otherwise take a negative trait. I'd do something like pick a random number between one and 20 and subtract t

Girls read shonen stuff in the US (and not just Saint Seiya), and guys will read and like girly stuff. Major artists who come to the US are often shocked by this. It took me a moment to realize what was going on. Is the guy in the stetson supposed to be dressed up? Because apart from wearing his hat inside, that's pretty much how I dress all the time. I mean, I wear a different fold (as does everyone around here) and although I can't tell too well from the picture I think my hat is made of a nicer and thicker felt, and usually the shirts I wear are striped, but that outfit still doesn't look at all unusual to me.

I'm glad that we're getting a bit of proper lore. I've got some qualms about this stuff, though. The leader information strikes me as a bit vague and general; assuming these are the default leaders that AI will use, there should be a pinch more information about their past exploits. Kul-al-Kulan's amounts to "I HEARD HE'S MULATTO" and what we have for Carrodus is a fairly boring resume and then a hole with no explanation of how he might have rose to prominence.

Looks to me like the text needs to be tweaked to make that distinction clear. Knowledge of magical lore is very important in Elemental as much of it has been lost since the first age. But only Channelers can cast general spells (or those they imbue). There are Sions still, these are beings who are essentially one-trick m
