you had feet?!? When LS eventually goes the way of icq+, there'll be others. graphite 2, perhaps. juice may come back to life. someone may find the source to reveal, and update it a tad. e-sense part deux! Wouldn't that be a kick...

it's probably in funk & wagnel's slang dictionary - but the short answer is, no. Your mother is a whore - and I mean that in a -good- way. All due respect. Was that an insult? I put the appropriate weasel words around it, so it can't be, right? I'm betting anyone you said that to would still take it as an insult... Point is, it was insulting. I took it as an attack, as I think most would (wait, I'm not popular here - so I'm sure I'll be told I'm wrong, most of you woul

"Robohead says he doesn't come here often because the high and mighty attitude here, yet he still posts as Skinz.org, admin'd by shoggot, the king of high and mighty attitudes. " - frogboy A personal attack! I am wounded, sir. So, will you be warning yourself first, or go straight to banning yourself? Since it's the first offense (in this thread, anyway) in recent times, I'd say a warning would be enough. Here's hoping for prompt action by the admins. Can't have p

I actually agree with what crae said there -whether or not he meant it in sarcasm. It used to be -hard- to skin. There were no skinmaker apps, no helper apps. Applications didn't load your parts of your skin for you nicely - you had to beat them into submission, editing text files. If you made a typo, it'd crash - and half the time bring the OS down with it. So, it took a heavy commitment to skin anything - and the photoskinners, as a generalized rule, weren't willing to put in

23) if someone posts something you disagree with away from your nest, you should return to your nest and mock that person at great length with other people who think just like you do. also testing to see if I can post.

"I could see Greenreaper doing really well actually. You've got fastest skin, and then there's best use of plugins (or something like that) and best animated skin. I wonder who he's representing. by Scribe Frogboy " This is why I suggested entries be anonymous until after the judging.

Oh, I'll certainly be as impartial as I can. I've had a few years experience at it (ignoring usernames on submissions) - but this may not be true for all of the judges. Can you, conversely, give any good reason why the names -should- be displayed?

can I request that judges: a) not be able to see author's names b) not be able to see the represented skin site of a skin during the judging? This may already have been planned, but if not, it's the only way the judging can be truly fair. One of my biggest gripes about wallpaper moderation is that I can see the author's names... You can try to ignore it, but all it takes is seeing a familiar name out of the corner of your eye to color your decision...

"Nothing stopped people from writing their own DesktopX or WindowBlinds or WInStyles or LogonStudio or CursorXP or whatever." You're absolutely - w/ the exception of cursorXP (cursorex), all have been made, as freeware, long before SD made 'em. All of the apps in question can be found at devart. Please don't act like you're the innovator of these things. It -really- makes you sound like an underinformed marketdroid.

Make it possible for developers of non-stardock apps to add support. Not having support for popular apps which directly compete with SD apps (such as litestep, for starters - there's likely over 200 apps which aren't supported) gives it the look of a corporate tool, thus providing ammo for trolling megalomaniacs...

point is, although it supports a few n on-SD apps, it doesn't support -anything- - just what you give it support for. Open-sourcing it would aleviate that problem, take some of the pressure off of you to add support for such (apparently unpopular, or they'd be supported?) apps as litestep... By all means, don't do it for me - I'm not the developer of an app you've snubbed. Try doing it out of the goodness of your heart. You ascribe to having some of that, I've heard. From what

frog: I'll drop my anti-SD stance forever if this is open sourced, so individual app devs can add their own apps to the spec, and they get folded in. Otherwise, it's a case of one company holding the strings. I currently consider stardock to be, at its core, pretense on the surface set aside, to be evil. This could prove me wrong, if done properly.
