IMO, there really should be some sort of diplomatic option like "Insult their promiscuous mothers" that serves no purpose but to lower relations, for things like that. And also the "get your starbases out of my frickin' territory" option we've been asking for, for like months.

Maybe Stardock wants you to file an application with them... subliminal messaging much? Kidding... or am I? Though seriously, that's... quite odd. I've never had that happen, or even heard of it happening.

[Temporary break from our evil broadcasts] Having a cheat-flagged score or... a whole bunch of them... isn't going to make the EMPIRE look bad in any way, correct? I know my char's score will be in the pits for the main metaverse, but I don't care about that really. I just intend to play a few games with mods on this guy. And the alt-meta doesn't worry about cheat flags? neat. [Welcome back to Radio of Pure Evil!] Flags? Lord Axion does not care about silly t

Iztok- Hi! Don't teach him that any bonus is "mandatory". I'm rocking face in a game as the Drengin with no econ bonuses whatsoever. Yeah, but you're playing at tough, and know how game goes. When he'll advance to your level, he too will be able to play without starting econ bonuses. But for noob a +30% econ is the easiest way to start. Of course it's the easiest way to start <img

Don't teach him that any bonus is "mandatory". I'm rocking face in a game as the Drengin with no econ bonuses whatsoever. The Drengin do however, require an aggressive playstyle. Their abilities and natural bonuses are all geared towards finding the nearest target and taking thier stuff. And in general the Drengin are pretty weak (I'm playing them for the Loser of Losers tourney, to give you an example). You may want to consider another race. Specialize your worlds. Your fi

Hmm. First off let me say BRAVO Formis! Firstly your work is incredible, and then your offer to do things like this for the community is just as incredible! People like you make GalCiv2's community the best, hats off to you sir! Really, I'd love to see what you could do with that holographic race, especially considering the thought behind it. I think it'd be neat to have them change as your relations changed? Perhaps a nice soft feminine looking hologram for we like you, a generic ma

Oh man, I like this idea. I'd be up for it, totally. A question/clarification though The teammnames would have nothing to do with your PLAYED race, correct? ie if I was on the Drengin Dodgers I could still play Yor or whatever.

I gotta cast my vote for a galciv multiplayer expansion pack. Charge me 20 bucks and do nothing but add multiplayer. Don't balance it or try to, dont add extra features non-multiplayer people would like to have too so they feel forced to buy it. You dont even have to create an online server, just add a section to the forums and the ability to directly connect via IP (after connecting to the meta perhaps, to avoid pirates or something and keep everyone patched up?). The AIs get boring after 10

I'd like the ability to do a bit more with diplomacy - not just yell and threaten, but talk and be a backroom dealer. It'd be nice to be able to go "Hey, drath. I heard the terrans were eyeing your home planet. Also they are crackin wise about your mommas" and drop relations, without having to do it by outright paying them to go to war. More subtle diplomacy would be very much welcomed.

Yeah, all the games I start out writing AARs for turn out to be the dull ones, and the epic ones are the ones I don't have notes or screenshots for Still, nice win!

I've never picked any alignment but neutral, really - the free terraforming is a cash and time saver, the extra trade routes are like free bonuses to diplomacy with select races, and nobody outright HATES you because you have an opposite alignment than they do. The NLCs are freaking awesome, in my opinion. Plus the Neutrality Temple lets you get tourism income from pretty much the whole map - it's crazy on bigger maps, and useful on anything above small. also, in my opinion, t

That halfview open thing seems to happen until the end of the turn that I bring it up (usually to do something like find a lone Spore Ship) It hasnt given me any game-crashing problems though...

That would utterly blow my mind, for the HR and Hull System Mods... those two mods are reasons why I only have two meta scores posted.

Especially since the RPs grow exponentially for higher-tier techs, creativity ends up all but useless lategame?

Maybe not patches, but an expansion that did an overhaul of the AI, including making trades actually work? I'd pay money for that almost as fast as I would for multiplayer. Put the two together and you have the recipie for the perfect expansion - makes everyone happy, box it up and stick it in stores. but now I'm off on a tangent so I'll get back to the discussion, sorry. -------- The trade system really, really needs an overhaul - AIs just arent INTELLIGEN

I think some combination of the spies you have AND your economy. The more money I make the more spies seem to cost, and the same with the more spies I've had during the game.
