Agreed, I think the fighters should be ponies, which shoot flowers from their eyes. On a more serious note, I'd be happy with just an offesive/defensive button, and the kryo-button.

nice to see nothing changed in my two month break from the forums Well, besides beta3 that is, seems my gamer-sense works like a charm
Err, some account messing-upness... ^that there's me
You beckoned? I just had to come back out of lurking for this Here's another thing though, Novalith is also the name of the brand of the paper in my printer. I know i'm going some people pointing out how I stole my name from a planet. I'd say, leave things as they are. we know you were here first.
Uninstalling as I type this. Done as you read it. Pointless at both times
I believe they are working on another Dawn of War game (DoW2 possibly), but dont quote me on it. I've been hearing the same thing ever since WA was released. Still, making a homeworld mod might be difficult if they're going to be 'EA' on their right.
what is that other thing I circuled. Kinda looks like the moon. That's no moon... There are no Homeworld-style motherships in Sins that build ships or structures. Which I will cheer about later. having 30 or 40 so of the "capital ships" in even a small game makes your fleets seem too impersonal. I think there should always be a ship that requires a serious investment to s
The "sequel" to Dungeon Keeper 2. that was mean, making me all excited about the game, and then seeing it's nothing like DK2... still, it's a fun game
It's what my T-shirt says. "I crushed their hopes and dreams and all I got was this lousy T-Shirt"? Gotta get me one of those <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Smile.gif" border=0 a
AAAARGH! WHY?! WHY!!!! another great game DOOMED TO HELL. Is it me, or is PC gaming growing worse and worse?
Parts of my tech tree seem to be useless...and I mean totally useless. I can't get the damage buffs for the laser and autocannon to actually increase the damage done by these weapons The artifact that is supposed to reduce all research costs doesn't work for me either. The issue remains even after uninstalling and reinstalling...is anyone el
The ships move slower, and we're probably going to make them move even slower still, according to some of the results from the beta. Woohoo, no more extremely fast frigates as you build a fleet, you can send that off and they'll take care of themselves. Ok, that must mean MAJOR imporvement in beta2, because they suck at that now. I've asked a lot of the players about this-
And thus, the topic dies.
I fear schem is right, i hope he's wrong though...
yes, but only true men know how to use their pause button and aren't afraid to either. Meh, if you don't need it, don't use it. Don't have the game here now, but can't you hold down the key for queuing commands to show the lines? (think it's shift/alt??)
you're missing the point of how cheap factories are now. Why build a huge lumbering mobile factory, when you can have cheap and efficient normal shipyards?
i hope so, they really look great now. The carrier bristling with hangers to quickly launch, and the dreadnaught stuffed full of big guns, missle racks and generally looking hella tough.
I believe they were called something along the lines of "energy bomb", it could take a shield in one hit, but took a load of energy to charge, they didn't deplete though. The torpedo's (or missles, whichever one you got only a handfull of) could deal massive damage, but were vulnerable to PD, it was worth it though. I think such weapons would fit in Sins, which IS about big fleets, but maybe only as a special ability, or as the main gun for one ship, which should not have other weapons.
or anything like that. But, this Act could be used largely as a political tool to silence abstructive voices and when I hear of it being used in such ways, I will cry out in outrage. Generally, i don't give a flying .... what the laws in other countries say (unless i'm going there), but this sounds to me like you WON'T hear of it being used in such ways. Also, your cries of outrage won't have much effect.
Dead space stations and battles would add another layer to the game. One we really don't want. If you make building in deadspace possible, the game will really become tedious. To win you have to wipe out your opponent (granted, most will give up when victory becomes impossible, but some won't) If you have to go and secure every planet, and then go hunt down some random base.... you can have over a hundred planets in the universe, isn't that enough?<b
now thrawn, you as a purist must know that there are no "Sith" in the original trilogy? We all know, in an ideal universe, there should not have been more then 3 movies.
I like the idea that you can build on research laboratory, and then upgrade that laboratory by adding on module after module to it. I don't like that at all, i've got bigger things to do then worry about my research lab. I like the way it's done now, I was also surprised when I built my first capital ship factory and it allowed me to build all of the capital ships right off the bat. <b
Also, teams starting together is a new addition for beta 2. nice, i was wondering about that. It's ok when AI starts away from you, but in MP it would be nice to start close to your allies.
Can we please NOT talk about multianna Lets try and keep things remotely on-topic, since this is the beta reports forum, mmkay? sorry, back on topic. Non-parallel is indeed good, but the in-game effect would be very small right? It doesn't really make much difference if the flat plane is at an angle with another one. In my opinion it might make selection difficult, and if that's the case, i'm
Handicapping is never a bad thing in games between friends. true, but for ranked it should be on equal terms Can you guys name a few games that have this option? Because i havent seen it in SotS, MOO series, supcom, Total war series. <
