Yup. the only reason why debt sometimes seems to not matter at high levels of play is that high level players are VERY good at riding the fine line between debt and bankruptcy. Debt is high, but just of a downward debt spiral.

Some maps have dry ice while others have water ice. The resource ice condensers produce is based on the type of ice on the map. Dry ice = Carbon and oxygen. Water Ice = Water. In the campaign it tells you which type of ice is on a map before you select the map to play on. Outside of the campaign you should pay attention to whether the ice condenser appears under water or under carbon and oxygen. Once you get better you should be able to tell just by the appearance whet
More Ranked Play games have happened since the patch. Of course, that may mean less 1v1 and 4p games than before, but the sum total is higher.
Is that weighted to account for the number of players entertained per game? If most games are played on the weekend, and suddenly everyone that played 4FFA switched to 1v1 you would expect the number of games to double (since 4 players make 2 games instead of 1

LOL, I could totally see something like this happening in a program I wrote. Makes sense, and is pretty straightforward. Devs, get to work :-).
The only real consequence of a debt spiral is the loss of the black market and the decreased share price, neither of which seem to matter too much in the end-game
You're kidding, right? A handful of well placed mutinies on offworlds have won me soooo many games. Look at match 2 of my series against Heisenberg . Black market won that game for me, hands down. Why do you thin
We can play friday around 6 EST if someone can stream. I am quite free during the weekend too.
Cool, how about we push it back to 7PM EST so i have 10 minutes breathing room after getting out from work. If you're ok with that then lets do tomorrow. Also, who's available to stream the game?

Match one vs Heisenberg immediately followed by Match two against Gameslayer. I'm literally going to be facing the last two tournament winners... This should be an interesting bracket. Heisenburg- I'm free after 6PM EST on Thursday and Friday, or any reasonable EST time during the weekend..

So, I "captured" the neutral colony and ran into an interesting bug. Apparently, if the last tile next to a colony goes up for auction and you upgrade the colony mid-auction you'll get a combo tile with both the newly purchased colony building and your auctioned building overlapping each other. Capture the colony- http://i.imgur.com/1JGuZk8.png O ptimization + Housing overlapping buildings- <a href="ht

I was clicking around in the next_version campaign. I think I hit space (pause), escape, and shift-tab(minimized the game) in quick succession. At the exact same time I doing this a bid started. After that the pause text stayed open for the duration of the bid while the bid menu is hidden/invisible. I just won an auction for 24k, but i have no idea what I won because the bid menu wasn't visible. You might want to look into that.

Perminent teleportation seems to be busted too.

I've got another major B11 issue for you Soren. There is no menu when you select a tile. There's no on/off, ship resources, or deconstruct options even though I have a farm selected. I can't disable these farms that are losing money, nor can I deconstruct the buildings to replace them with something better. It's like having a permanent network virus on all buildings at all times.
It was a bug. Got an if statement backwards. Should be good now.
What programmer hasn't done THAT at some point? LOL. Anyways, thanks Soren.

Also, adjacency seems to be busted in next_version (B11). http://i.imgur.com/KjbumPg.png I'm pretty sure it's not just a graphical glitch as I'm bleeding water despite having plenty of pumps.
Restrict it to the buildings that are typically built there, like patents, upgraders, hackers, off world launchers.
that's kind of silly. Couldn't you just start a patent lab and cancel it for a free claim? and not being able to switch out of a building when the time comes is equally silly.
Market economics: Commodity pricing volatility is unrealistic. The price of a commodity should not be able to drop from 100 to 1 from a few sales even if they are lots of a hundred.
Remember, this game takes place on Mars not the earth.
I grabbed this game when it was offered for 50% off and have played a bunch of skirmishes. Needless to say I have no clue what you are talking about in this post but I wonder how would it affect the robotic HQ, since food is not a life support for them? The discussion implies some sort of advantage for selling food instead of using it for life support, but of course robotics would not have that option. [/

Actually, there are two downsides for building geotherms far from your base, and they do matter at higher levels of play. 1) There is a pretty sizable delay while the building floats over to the geotherm. During this time you're bleeding potential money where as a nearby goetherm will see a much quicker return on investment. When players are fighting over power income it does matter. 2) Distant geotherms are more vulnerable to being dynamited.
Nevermind whether your argument is right or wrong; one of the specific, concrete consequences of being allowed to hoard life support is that doing so will become a factor in the beginning of the game, and everyone will have to consider it. This will in turn have annoying impacts on micromanagement and the resource price curve, continuing until food production has stabilized, if it ever stabilizes. In its current form, food has high price va
Always Buy Life Support on Debt is different from Autosell First, since you can manipulate prices.
Which is more or less the entire point of stockpiling resources in the first place, and a central facet of this game. So, yeah. As I said. The current state of the option just punishes players for making any attempt at profiting off rising life support prices. You really HAVE to sell them off immediately and p

So, I just discovered the advanced gameplay options and noticed a few things while looking into them. 1) Auto-supply On. I was thinking about this and outside of some VERY specific circumstances that only apply to newer players I can't imagine a situation where you would be better off with this unchecked. Whenever you build a new building you're probably going to want it to start building immediately, whether you have the resources or not. If you don't have

My twitch account is Dubanx. Whenever I chat it's showing up as some weird shit like JustinFan000. Think my account was hacked at some point a while back and I never noticed because I don't speak on twitch much? Also, what's this "kingmaker" thing I keep hearing about?

[Spoilers] obviously Blackmagic vs DeathTacticus vs Heisenburg vs Duban Whelp, that last game ended in the worst possible way for me. I was doing a pretty strong game until it crashed. I definitely stood a chance of winning that one, I think. What does everyone else think? Edit: Also, what do I have to do to get unmuted from zultar's stream? Either nobody could hear me or like 20 people did
