I think what would be awesome would be to have the Queen of Thorns cavort about in a lewd fashion. I think each general should have multiple unique creep types, for example, the QoT could have ent things and also dryads .. lithe creeps not unlike the QoT herself. Generals should be able to compete equally with Assassins, or there is not much point in the class. One way to do this might be to have the General able to spawn a small group of 'super creeps'. These cou

Hi, Last week Brad said Beta 1-a might be released soon. Any update? Will it have the Queen of Thorns in? :)
I'm also having this problem on a pure un-modded up to date version of TA.
Details ... details ... :)
Hi, Stardock have been plugging a not-quite MOM sequel, but have said they will announce it around the end of summer. That's NOW!!! PLEASE ANNOUNCE IT !!!! :)
I have a question for Stardock. I am eagerly awaiting news on the 4X turn-based Fantasy Game. You guys had promised an announcement now-ish. But it has all gone quiet. Well ... ... when can we expect to hear something?
I think the box issue is trivial. The only thing that concerns me about ToA is the bugs. It crashes a lot on Vista. It would be nice to have a promise of ongoing bug-fixes for ToA from Stardock ... Also, the bugs are the only thing that would deter me about the fantasy game. Can we have a promise around that?
Cool. Looking forward to the fantasy game. The most important thing for me though is the bug fixes for ToTA. I want to see a lot of work on that.
Good expansion, but too many bugs. Basically, there seems to be some weirdness with models of custom ships when you delete them, overwrite them. I will try to post some savegames to GC2Bugs. There are also too many CTDs on Vista. So basically, looking to see Stardock fix the bugs and lots of post-release support. I am really likely to buy their fantasy game, but only if I see lots of fixes for Twilight.
Hi, I tried to submit a beta-report via email, but did not get an acknowledgement. Can someone just confirm that this report has been read and is sufficiently clear. I have noticed a bug with the ship designer. It seems to be repeatable. If you create a Design (say 'Test 1') and then delete it, then create a new design of the same name from a user template, the new design uses the old model. This happens to me playing any race, including custom, terran an
I can't find the 'Legacy of the Telenanth' feature yet.
Populous II !!! I miss that. That was a good game. Having said that, I am with the other gamers, can we have some more news please !!!
Overall, I prefer MoM too. The AI did cheat though. And it sucked. I almost never saw it build a boat. Almost every game was set on a single continent no matter what settings you chose ... just to hide that fact. (I hope the devs take note and make a game as good as MoM).
Yep. Making artifacts for heroes in MoM was fun. You could do that in "Age of Wonders - Shadow Magic" as well. (The heroes were still very powerful but a lot more balanced.)
I just want to ask, Anyone play all of the following series of games Dominions 3 the awakening, and both its predecessors Master of Magic Age of Wonders, all three games
I have played all three. Master of Magic is like a sequel to the original Civilisation, by Sid Meier. But it has a fantasy setting, loads of spells and units, and tactical combat. It is really good. Gameplay a lot like any of the Civ games. Looks a bit dated now ... it was very l
Hi, I am a huge MoM fan, and avid GC2 player and I had some thoughts about the new fantasy game Stardock are developing. Basically, I thought it might help us players if we set out the things we most liked about similar games like Age of Wonders, Shadow Magic and Master of Magic, and the things we disliked to help inspire the developers. Master of Magic ========== LIKES The thing that struck me most about MoM is that it was a lot like fantasy Civilisation (for those o
Wait...Please tell me that it isn't taking place in the Galciv universe in the past or something... If it's a fantasy game, make it fantasy not this stupid magic science crap. Are they saying that ancient Altaria had a whole bunch of fantasy races like elves and such?
I find a fantasy prequel to GC2 very difficult. I would prefer a slightly more independent setting. Don't mind having some of the same races, a la the klackons in MoM. Also, regarding the first thre
I agree with the thread starter. This game sounds really good. Only thing that Stardock have said that makes me a little bit uncomfortable is the story. Ancient Altaria? ?? Really??? I hope that they were joking. It really would be hard to make it convincing. Everything else is good. (1) Non-cheating AI. (2) Lots of spells. (3) Lots of units. (4) Civ elements.
(i) Fix the ticket I raised about disappearing ships. (ii) Doom stars that can blow up planets or stars. (iii) Artifical planets.
Hi - I sent you this issue a while ago. Any news? Has there been a resolution / fix?
Hi, I am thinking of buying Gods: Lands of Infinity. I notice that there is a Special Edition. Can I get this from TotalGaming.Net? I was not clear if the Special Edition has been released yet. If not, when will it be released?
Are you running the game through the launcher, or through a shortcut directly to the game (or a shortcut to the launcher even, as opposed to via SDC)? If you are using a shortcut, you may want to check that the 'run in' path is correct in the shortcut's properties. I am running it using the 'official' shortcut in the programs menu that is installed when you install Dark Avatar. Also, since the problem only affects some enemy ships, I do not bel
Hi, I tried what you said. Uninstalled - got the latest version from Stardock Central. Started a new game. Everything seemed ok at first - now there is the same problem. - Thoughts? I can supply savegames etc. if that would help.
Hi, I have a problem with Dark Avatar. The ships do not always display properly on the map or in combat. They are simply absent. If you zoom out you can see icons, but when you zoom in there are no 3d models, just empty space. In combat, I have had whole fleets attack. Nothing appears ... and I see no combat effects. My ship just flew around for a few moments then exploded. I also don't see all the effects on the main screen. Some animations - like shooting on
Hi, I like everything about the expansion, except for the feature : - New stream-lined technology tree. The Galactic Civilizations II technology tree gets a make-over to make it more stream-lined and interesting. What does this mean? I like a really big, long, slow tech-tree with lots of different technologies. From the comments regarding the announcement on the homepage, several others feel the same. Re
