I have the same problem as 5 and I started with 3A. I thought it was just that it wasn't fully fleshed out...

This is the first beta version that I've been able to play with (due to screen issues on my end, not yours). Once I get to the game its impressively stable. My problem is it keeps hanging as it starts. Uninstalling and reinstalling fixes it, for the first start, and the next time I start the game it hangs. I'd send you an error log, but it doesn't seem to load anything to give a log for... But the game itself is really stable ;)
I'm looking forward to a windowed version since I can't play the game right now. My laptop screen only does 800x600 (:(
I just finished installing and trying to play the game. I've already run across a potentially big problem (at least for me). I searched the past posts and found that the screen size is 1028x768. I'm assuming this is fixed. The problem is, I have a laptop that has a 800x600 screen resolution. I can enlarge it to 1028x768 and scroll the screen for games that require that res. It doesn't appear that I can do this with GalCiv however. My screen is clipped and the only thing I can do is start
Damn, I'm glad I've got leftovers to eat tonight. Now the big question. Should I try an install on my laptop before I go home, or should I wait...hmmmm.....install now!!!! Thanks Brad
Woo Hoo!!! :D I think I used [email protected] Thanks
No no no! Now Now Now! ;) On another, less childlike note :) , I must comment on the new trailer. NICE! I have to say that I don't like the options for viewing it. I don't want to pay to d/l it. But it still looks cool, even in the smaller window. How do the screenshots they have posted compare to what it looks like now? And I definitely like the dialog choices. "My yacht has need of a new coat of paint and the crushed bodies of your people will make a lovely
Wow! I agree. Like I've said before, I don't play a lot of games online against people, so I don't get those kind of interactions. Having them would make a HUGE difference in immersion in the game world. So how much longer do we have to wait? ;)
I have to agree with it being a good idea and adding to the tactics. I played a demo of Starships Unlimited (I think it was) that had this type of ship speed varient. In it your ships also had a certain amount of cargo they could take on the trip too, so you had to pay attention to how far you could go with that ship. That was a little too much, but trying to run your little pathetic ship away from a huge enemy ship or trying to move your suped-upped colony ship to a planet first definitely a
I just wanted to say, nice interview. Its good to see you getting press, and good press at that. As to the previous AI thread, I like how you threw that bit in there about showing AI. You're killing me though, I can't stand all this waiting for it to be finished ;)
I personally think a good AI is a good thing. I don't play games online for the most part, so AI is very important to me. I absolutely hate games that are intended to be played online and the single-player mode is an after thought, and thus usually cheats and takes the fun out of the game. As for reviews, I hardly ever read them. I look at what people (ie the players) say about the game. This is where a good AI will help you. People will talk about the challenge of a game, and no
I am also interested in joining the Alpha. I bought my subscription to Drengin in anticipation of this game (not that Corporate Machine was not worth it too). My only question is as to how much time is required. I unfortunately have to take my work home with me a lot of nights, but I am willing to devote my weekends and as much other free time as I can and post frequently ;) Thanks!
