Thanks! I bookmarked it. I think for now I will stick to commenting. I just don't think I know enough right now to be fair. Maybe as time passes I will learn more. I think this will be a good learning guide.

Thank you. I would like to see that too. (I'm the kind of person who gets things kind of backwards sometimes, and I sure wouldn't want to do that in a case like this!)

Oh... Is that why I see a "rate this skin on the new skin options, and not on the comments?" I've been thinking that it was some mistake that I had that option because, technically, I don't know what standards to apply and I am kind of new. I haven't used it because I don't feel very qualified. But I do make some comments to thank the author of the skin and to tell them what I thought.

Um.... I'm feeling all kinds of guilty for even trying to download it. I'm sorry, I should have looked closer. I'll be more careful.

That explains it. I downloaded it when it was new and then I couldn't find it. Today I tried to apply ambient and had a whole bunch of problems. Guess I should go into that folder and delete both of them? And then redownload Ambient, of course. I wouldn't let a treasure like that go! Heh... It is scary when nothing at all will load when you reboot, but I always feel kind of bright if I can figure out how to recover without loss. It's like a puzzle. But I can do without these surp

I was just thinking the same thing. There are a lot of theme sites out there and the themes do include sounds. They were getting them from somewhere. I used to use Neoplanet and a lot of those skins had sounds. It would be good to have an application similar to curser XP and Icon Packager that deals with sounds.. Soundsuite or something.

Come to think about it... That is one thing I really appreciate about this place. You folks seem to do it fine! Maybe if you see beauty, and create it you understand things...OK. Off the soap box. Back to "LIFE". don't mind me

HEH... I was afraid to come look at this one, too! It was a hard day. If I had a crying icon I would use it right now. I have a community at MSN. There is a birthday cake icon. If I had one of those I would use that too. Sometimes you just have to make a stand and walk away (but I have another name there and I am still making it nice).

I was feeling guilty so I was afraid to look in. There are some redundancies there, and those would be easy to let go (one of). What I think about the vomit one is that if I take it upon myself to give negative feedback, I think I should take the time to type out the words. I would say here is what I think and here is why and it is only an opinion, after all. In other words here on the message board he finds his place. But sometimes you find him giving some feedback to a skinner (and lots o

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Nooooooooo, there is only soooo much space? Well, that one with a red beard maybe. (he looks like a mean shrink) I didn't want to kick anyone out. I just thought if I could get my emoticon to cry for me (virtually) I wouldn't need to do that real time on a day like today.... and that would be a huge savings on my contacts. And sometimes when I type a big smile I wonder if it might really mean I was laughing when I was only really liking something big time! And the vomit one

But then again... some really nice and gifted skinners have included wallpapers that are specific to their skin... you woouldn't want to miss those. So disregard.... life is sooooooooooooooo complicated sometimes... so many beautiful choices... so little time to wear them all.

5 Replies 1,808 Views

Oh... and a lot of skins do not include wallpaper. So you need to go into your Windowblinds configuration and uncheck the box that says to use the wallpaper that came with the skin (if I remember that right). then again you might need to check the box that says you want to use your own... anyway you ca

If the wallpaper is a tile, then it will appear in the center of the screen as a small square. To fix that, go to your porperties, then change the wallpaper view to tiled. You have three choices, tiled, centered, and stretched.

Sometimes I think it's a case of never being aware of loving something more than that moment when you can see and sense, in all clarity, that it is as ephemeral as it is. The prospect of loss has to be one of the most humbling things I know.

Well, I thought as long as we were combining things I could see a whole story there. But I am running out of time... so here are the first several in order as I saw them tonight.... An apology , she offered. I'm happy 'when' I'm pissed! I'm Unable to start OE and other apps and this really gets to me. So Take yourself a break and read these..... Not getting an answer she looked up and asked... Is this a rip site, or not? Well then, here ya

Oh... and another thing that really caused problem was that I had web blinds installed. Then Unloaded windowblinds. Then when I tried to start IE, it hung big time. I figured it relied on my windowblind skin which was inaccessable.

Well, I don't know if this is your problem (it is mine). If you have one version of windowblinds, and you get an upgrade or a different version, you have to make very, very sure to unload the first version. Else they combine some things and conflict. If this is the case, unload and uninstall the one version before you apply the next (I have been fighting this one out all day here). Good luck
