It may say 4GB but it's not using any more memory than it did prior to Service Pack 1.
I'd never go back to 32-bit, I have a 9800 GX2 that has 1GB of memory along with 4GB of system memory. If I go to 32-bit my OS will only use a total of 3GB out of 4GB. Not to mention I run a Quad-Core system which isn't fully taken advantage of in 32-bit.
Spore isnt the only game they've packaged this type of DRM with. Games like Crysis: Warhead and Mass Effect also include this failure at game protection. I upgrade my computer regularly, in fact I just got myself a new processor and videocard. EA is so horrible at controlling what triggers a new activation for the DRM in their games, as an example I bought a new moniter and hit my activation limit on Mass Effect. The way I see this bailing out nonsence; We are only delaying the inevitable by continuing to bail out banks which ended up broke due to their own policies. Everyone had to learn the hard way, apparently it's not a no brainer that when you loan someone money for lets say a mortgage and they cant pay it back you end up LOSING money. Ugh, no edit buttons. It appears the shell issue is still present with 64-bit. It's almost as if IP does not load the icons into the 32-bit files as well. This pic below only seems to happen on 32-bit programs, 64-bit programs have the appropriate icons applied in the same area. Before I go off to install it once it's released I have a quick question. Has the shell issue now been resolved in 64-bit?
So does anyone care to explain what the new beta up for IP on the 17th changes or fixes? And weither or not the 64-bit shell issues have been fixed? Impulse doesn't list anything new under History. [e digicons]-_-[/e]

Does the new beta happen to fix the shell issue in 64-bit?
I've also hit the limit on most of the things i use in ObjectDesktop, have submitted a ticket 2 days ago but no responce so far. :( EDIT: NVM, Resolved!
Just tried it on 64-bit and all is working fine, address bar is now working as it should. I am however getting menu problems when right clicking or just a general dropdown menu. Sometimes the text is garbled and sometimes cleartype is not working on the fonts. Heres an example:

Ugh, I don't know how many times i've said this but there is a bug in Impulse if you uninstall IP it will muck up your icons and they'll become blank. What you need to do is install Stardock Central and install IconPackager through that. Once you have done this, reboot. Then open up Stardock Central again and uninstall IconPackager and reboot once more. After that your icons should be restored to the way they had been prior to using IconPackager. If you still have IconPackager install a

If you didn't know with Vista x64 there is a folder mixup, the folders are System32 and SysWOW64 when they should actually be named System64 and SysWOW32. So in other words, System32=64 bit - SysWOW64=32 bit - So backing up the imageres.dll in System32 will work, or do it for both if you want to be 100% safe. I too use 64 bit :D

Err no edit button. That should resolve the icon issue, I would suggest trying the newest official release once its all sorted.
Install Stardock Central, then install the latest beta of iconpackager, reboot, uninstall inconpackager through Stardock Central and reboot once more. I've had this issue when uninstalling IP through Impulse on more than one occasion.
