Well its been a full week... not one person from Stardock has shed any light on the subject. I really hope that you guys arent planning to just straight up hold off the x64 version until 6.0 is ready.
Astyanax
Well I hope people don't have to wait for a 64 bit version whenever that's made available. Which im assuming is 2008 by the name...
I had only heard that we would get a beta of Windowblinds 6 soon (unknown if it would support x64), but I could be mistaken...
I posted a topic in GD 3 days ago and it got totally ignored, so I figured I'd give it a go here. Does anyone know when Vista x64 support for Windowblinds 5.5 is coming? Is it not coming? Are the people on 64 bit going to have to wait for version 6? As you can see I'm just a little annoyed with the fact I was completely ignored when asking this simple question. I understand that it's not exactly an easy thing to do being the architecture is completely different. All I had heard
Still nothing? jeez
Speaking of OS X having virus's too, it's also way less secure: http://www.computerworld.com/action/article.do?command=viewArticleBasic&articleId=9018138&pageNumber=3 I think the term Swiss Cheese is most fitting when describing the secuirty on OS X.
Hey now, calm yourself people. There's no need to answer all at once here!
Hey guys, I recently switched over to X64 and just checked out SDCentral to find out there isnt any 64 bit support yet for Windowblinds? Any idea when it's going to be out?
...Another company marketing to 11 year old girls with the "i" in front of the name.
Also realize that many business critical applications will not run on Vista. And probably will not for at least a year or more. So, there's DEFINITELY no way those users can/should upgrade. Who cares what large corporations want to do? How does that effect the decision of an every day PC user looking to upgrade to Vista? IT DOESNT. And of course large businesses will not upgrade immediatly, such is the case with EVERY OS! <div class="Article_Quot
So far I've played Counter-Strike: Source, Day of Defeat: Source, Half-Life 2, FarCry, Oblivion, Stalker, BF2, BF2142, GuildWars (All 3), WoW, Gothic 3, Silent Hunter 4, Hitman: Blood Money, GTA: San Andreas and the new Spider-Man game. All of which ran just as good if as they do on XP. The only downside is with BF2/2142 where you have to run in Admin mode if you want to play online because of Punkbuster. If you don't run as admin it will kick you off the server, not a big deal though.
ObjectDesktop is a yearly subscription. It costs 50$ for the initial year and 35$ for yearly renewal's if my mind serves me right. Your subscription had ended that's all.
Even if you have WDDM drivers you get the Aero theme but it's not transparent. There is no possible way to get it to work with fully supported DWM effects.
Gotta agree with xscorpx, Linux is not a user friendly OS. Linux has ALOT of work to be done before it can be considered a user friendly OS. It goes right down to installing applications. There is no EXE you just click on or dragging the Icon into Applications(OS X) and that will really screw the majority of users up big time.
The new skinstudio looks much nicer and cleaner. Can't wait to get my hands on it!
The GT500 is one of my all time favorite cars along side the Corvette I would like to see it with full WB5 support though. I was kind of let down by the UIS1 Corvette skin.
Someone should sue Symantec for making such terrible software. You beat me to it. I was just going to say: They should fix their own products before going after someone elses.
Look theirs either 2 things that you did there, you either really know how to do it or you've changed the UIS1 to a UIS2 in the titlebar. By the way next time you try and trick someone with that "I KNOW HOW TO DO IT" crap, make sure you make it convincing. The menubar does not get skinned with UIS1, so why is your shot that is supposed to be UIS2 showing the same old menubar eh?
I'm not going to upload the Corvette WB. Not gonna happen, nice try though.
See I figured I'd have to rebuild the skin, ah well. Thanks for the help.
You don't know the answer. I've looked around and im pretty sure its impossible to do. There is no ducumentation on UIS1 to UIS2. No option in SkinStudio (unless I overlooked it). I'm sure you don't know it, you cant even tie your own shoes and you expect me to believe you know this? Why don't you go bother someone else, Im sure I speak for most of the people when I say Im tired of your incoherent ram
chill pet.. so.. do you know the answer? Didn't you already get put in your place in Ste's tutorial comments? How much abuse do you actually need to leave for a few months again? Trust me I have no problem tearing you apart peice by peice again. If you know how to do it then just say it, otherwise I suggest you just leave. No one needs your sad childish insults and rude behavior.
you don't know? You could quit being a wise @ss and simply tell me. I swear man, what are you some kind of forum troll? Don't you have anything better to do?
Not sure if this is the correct place for this topic.. anyway. Is there a way to convert a UIS1 skin to UIS2?
I'd like to see something to do with jet aircrafts, like the turbine engines going or something like that.
