thats such a totally irresponsible, innacurate and hysterical characterization of the taped message, it comes close to invalidating the draginol postulate regarding thinking on the right vs feeling on the left. Only to one who is so blind that they cannot see. But I like your post. It means the Kerrites are scared. G

While I still wish Bush had not used Afghan proxies so much in the hunt for Osama, I understand completely that capturing/killing bin Laden isn't the end of the war on terrorism. The russians spent years in those mountains for nothing. With our 'inept proxies' we cleaned it out in days. While it is always ni

First, i saw the title and then had to laugh! I was there for Carter, and while the best of intented men, was a complete fool! Of ocurse, Clinton was pretty inept in foreign policy. I am quite certain that had a different man been in the white house that 9/11 wouldn't have happened. We would have taken those attacks on our embassies much more seriousl

Sir, Why did you not pose the question. Are you an english major? Your grasp of the english language and understanding is superb. And you have stated the real question that I could ever. I was just trying to get a feel of how many people would still adopt expediency when it was proven that it was murder. The Death Penalty is just that. Expedient. But it is also murder. Yet other than a few Caritas people, you dont hear it debated with

The 380 missing tons of explosives points to a continuing shocking incompetence of the Bush Administration and the Pentagon. I mean not securing a large dangerous cache of explosives in a war zone. This just underscores the problems that started with faulty intelligence and a rush to war with Iraq. I mean things are so bad that I had to consult a co

An election is not about the challenger it’s about the incumbent. The challenger as long as they are competent they pass the test. Why? · Nobody knows that candidate. (Who can tell me one bill he wrote?) · That candidate will promise everything. · The opposition will spin that candidate into a monster. · If that candidate told you their ac

More importantly, since when do you cut taxes and increase spending? How can I afford a $5 pizza if I only have $4.50 AND somebody takes $1 from me? Well, I can put it on my credit card, but I still can't pay for it. This is a simple thing that many people miss, most likely because they are too busy watching "Consolidate your dept" commercials on their

The article is good in its ideals, but the problem is the UN is just another bureaucracy. And as such, they 100+ minor states will always squabble and refuse to face reality (as evidenced by appointing Sudan to the HRC). Some one once said the best forms of goverment, in the ideal are: Monarchy, Communism, Socialism, Democracy. But since the ideal can never be reached in the real world, the best we can hope for, given the fallability of man is (in order): Democracy, Socialism, C

SirNetMan, Texas Wahine, and Messy Buu, thank you for the spirited input. I think SirNet had a point, so I would like to qualify it and say that cognisence thought begins at conception (as well as life). In any event, it was just hypothetical. But you can see that it is not a Liberal vs Conservative issue. It is a belief issue. And until Science can come up with a definitive statement, it will not be sovled. Thanks again, and continue to debate it! I find all the thoughts and ideas

Brain activity vs. cognisence, MB. But if you go down that path, then many DS children and otehr several handicapped people could not be murdered, nor could anyone be charged with their murder as the are almost vegetative, with no cognative skills. But for the sake of this argument, since it may also be argued that a new born baby has no cognisen

If there was conclusive proof of cognisence coming from a blob of non-deliniated cells with no brain, then I think we would be questioning more then just the issue of abortion. You are of course correct, but I did not want to start a novel, just tried to keep it on one portion of the issue.

1. The life of a person is worth more to me. 2. Because over 500 women die every day through botched, backstreet abortions, which they feel forced into as they have no other choice - they cannot afford or access legal abortion. Countless others damage themselves. 1. But if life begins at conception, it is a person, so reason one

I'll be your huckleberry, and be honest to boot. I am Pro-Choice (or Pro-Death as some of the nastier people like to say), and I can honestly say that if there was scientific proof that life begins at conception that I would have to rethink my views on abortion. Thank you for a sane and very rational answer. The whole point of this question w

But failing to secure the known sites that contained WMD components is a crime. And this high explosive is a WMD component, used in the manufacture of nuclear bombs. It's not a WMD itself but it was dangerous enough that the IAEA sealed it so that the Iraqis could not use it without obviously breaking sanctions. As we saw today, when you jump to

I suppose some may find it (the cover) offensive, but hey! It was just a painting by an artist (a great artist), and not a photograph from God!

George Carlin has stepped into it again, or so says WalMart. The mega retailer will not sell his new book in stores due to (this is alleged) the cover which depicts a modified painting of the last supper with George Carlin in it. Now I am a religious person, but I found a link to the article on CNN, and I think the cover is a scream! As soon as I saw it I laughed. I have no idea what the book contains (When will Jesus Bring the Pork Chops), but knowing Carlin, it will be spiced

Oh please. You can't honestly believe this! Then republicans have the blood of innocent death penalty victims, A president who is on a crusade against Muslims (he said crusade during his speach from the pulpit of the National Cathedral) and wants to drill in Wildlife animal reserves. If this is the best you can do, you have far to go before you sway anyone. </tab
