there's a communication problem. i use the dictionary definition of smartphone, while you use the Dr. Guy definition of smartphone.
No you do not, YOu even conceded that you were using a loose definition. And you are still wrong about the present. As I said. YOu are not a very honest person.
both of them?
3. Regardless of your country, numbers do not change. 3 is not both. And Apple did win - again through attrition. You are welcome to buy and love them all you want - that is called free trade. But they are losing market share because of the iTunes restrictions. And that is the court of Public Opinion.
it has been a steady decline since then.
Ah, the old switcheroo! I am aware of Windows Mobile, however that was minimally a "smart" phone. However, I will concede part of your point. As I was thinking Windows Phone. Which when combined with Windows Mobile, gives them 5% of the market. NOt 3%. So we both lose points, you for current, me for past.
in the real world Microsoft's marketshare in smartphone oss went down from over 40% to 3% in the last seven years.
Uh, when did Microsoft EVER have a 40% share in the smartphone market? I have no doubt Microsoft has about a 3% share. But that is up from 0%. They are not a major player...YET. They may be. But they never had 40%.
there were no plaintiffs. there was no case. that huge scandal you want there to be exists in your head only.
Actually it is called planned obsolescence. And Apple is not unique in it. Apple just dragged the case out until all the plaintiffs had gotten rid of their old iPods. It was not a "win" for Apple, just a war of attrition. Nor was it an exoneration of their practices. As yo
Because Steve Jobs even 'stole' the Beatles Recording Label....then when taken to task over it AGREED NOT to enter into the music industry and thus cause Trade Name confusion - adding insult to existing injury.... And they do play anywhere. itunes was a great concept! The implementation is the reason that the competi

Yea, that is the XT! And you are correct. It was the plane jane PC that did not do the 1mb cards. Time dulls memories. But I had one customer in 1991 who wanted me to upgrade one of those suckers to accept a 3.5" floppy! Because the damn thing would not die!
If you were lucky you had one of those with an expansion card about 18" long that gave you ONE MEG of ram.
I do not think the XT did 1mb. The AT did. It was a 286 that started at 8mhz and went up from there. We used a 16mhz AT for our first file server (it also had 4mb of RAM and ran Novell Netware). It had a 33mb external HD that sounded like a jet taxiing , and was the size of a small pig. It

iTunes and my son's and wife's experience with it is the reason I do not go near Apple products. My wife has some home movies that itunes tries to delete. So instead of an iPad, I got her a Kindle Fire HD. It actually is better for what she wants to use it for. Apple has some good things. iTunes is not one of them.

They do not use the word 'slave", but they insist that doctors work for nothing and are at the beck and call of the patients. IN this world, when one works for others with no control over their own lives, it is called slavery.
I kno
imo healthcare shouldn't be in the business of 'doing business' but hey.
So how would you do it? Healthcare free? Then how do you distribute a limited resource with an unlimited demand? Well, some would say that doctors should be slaves - work for no profit and at the whim of government.
Simple economics tell you that a group of companies acting in concert can virtually enslave / indenture entire villages. However in the real world, companies are not working together (and those that do are prosecuted for it), and instead bid against each other for the limited resources.
