Have fun in San Antonio!

So, headed back that way, huh? Good luck finding a place and a church. I can provide a couple of suggestions if you need any.
GEN 300 is a class they make all adults who have been out of school for a while take to refamiliarize themselves with school I guess since I've successfully managed to spread a BA out over 11 years without taking more than 2 years off at a time, I would be able to avoid that, maybe. Congrats
Wow. Thanks for posting this. I had not heard much of anything about this band until someone at work mentioned them last night, and reading this now, I've got to find some music of theirs to listen to.
Where are the pictures of your progress? Here, at home, where they will stay for me to look at while he's gone for six months. sigh..............
I thought after a certain number of years it was called common-law marriage. Actually, it doesn't even have to be years. Technically, if you have lived together for one day and introduce each other as husband and wife in public, you are considered to have a common-law marraige. Weird, huh?
Congratulations to you and your lovely bride! We will hit ten years next summer, and are looking forward to twelve and beyond! I hope you have many more!
I am unashamedly still a fan of the 80's and 90's hair bands. Bon Jovi will always be my favorite band, much to the chagrin of Nbs. He still thinks I owe him for making him accompany me to a concert during his mid-tour from Korea. I do have difficulty admitting my enjoyment of the Spice Girls, though.
Good for you!
The only problem with having him on my shoulder is that he is growing like a weed and will climb up when I a sitting in the bathroom. Strange indeed. I understand. Our shoulder cat is the 15 pounder, who never jumps more than half-way up and then climbs the rest of the way. And I've misplaced the claw
(really nbs) Really? In Arabic? mutafa(noise like coughing up a dead animal)hah. IED Mutafahahah sayyarat. VBIED Koombala. Bomb (easy to remember because it rhymes with big kaboombala) Abu nasif. Explosives. Really. In arabic. As in, "Boy do you remember that
If you go to Goodfellow, wanna house?
Definately not fair! I don't think anyone blames you for tripping the wire, so please don't feel bad about it. You have been blessed. While others may not have been able to take leave, they still could have submitted applications long before they were out. Most of the soldiers were most definately screwed, though. We both have two jobs, btw. X-SPC mechanics days, while I work with Pre-K, and we both deliver pizza at night. Makes for long days...
I can't wait for March. I will definately be there, providing we are still here. btw, 3pm Sunday, Howze Auditorium on Battalion Ave. I'll try to call tomorrow.
Well, it's been another month since I posted, and alot has happened. I still haven't been able to make myself write about this past summer, but something happened about a week ago, and I realized I had to. You see, my grandfather died this summer. I got a phone call from my Mom towards the end of May, telling me Papaw (my dad's dad) was in the hospita
Don't worry about losing the ball-and-chain, the fortune teller lady turns tricks for ciggies I don't think so! (the ball-and-chain) The whole stripping/whoring thing is out, as well as anything involving other women! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/JU/smiles/Mad.gif" border=0 ALIGN="ab
You know that feeling of emptiness that you get sometimes? Staring up into a clear night sky, black velvet sprinkled with diamond dust.... Watching the reflection of the moon dancing, shimmering on the water Feel the chill of a cold breeze across the nape of your neck. Wishing someone would enfold you in their arms, surround you Feel
Thank you all for your memories! Any more out there?
I lost three years worth of pictures just before my husband went to basic (all of our pictures from college), but it wasn't because of camera problems. I had about ten rolls worth of film that had not been developed yet, zipped up in a big ziploc bag. I went looking for them after we moved to my aunt's place and asked him if he'd seen them. He said yes, he had, and that film didn't last that long, I wouldn't have been able to have them developed, so
I love music. Music has been an integral part of me my entire life. All kinds of music. Rock, heavy metal, jazz, classical, christian, country, even some rap (though not much), and lots of novelty music. I like it all. I enjoy it all. Some of it is because it is honestly good music, and some of it is because of the memories. I've heard several times o
You have to have 6+ years of active federal service to qualify for the official program, I believe. Thanks to stop-loss, 6 years are in the bag. Finding someone to actually answer questions or be helpful? Much, much harder.
Well, at least you had a jacket so your rear wasn't hanging out for all to see! Amen to that! Last year I had a pair of pants rip open just below my butt cheek as I was getting out of the car to deliver a pizza (to a guy from my husband's unit, no less). I went up to the house, delivered the pizza
Well, hello to anyone out there that remembers me! I know it's been a while since I posted. I haven't forgotten about all of you, but sometimes life gets in the way. I'm hoping to blog about the past six months or so, and keep going. I know that my hubby updated everyone on his health way back. From this side of the hospital gown it was pretty scary. I have neve
Jon Bon Jovi and Sebastian Bach I can definately agree with, and Bach has done a couple of shows on Broadway as well as off--Jekyl and Hyde a couple of years ago, I believe. I think vocally I really like Ann Wilson from Heart, but she probably wouldn't fit the image they're looking for. And Sarah Jessica Parker.........I saw her on Broadway several years ago and was surprised at how talented a singer she is. Honestly, I wo
Thank you to everyone who has responded here and on my page as well. We're hoping that he will be coming home from the hospital Wednesday. I'm sure he'll have something to write about it, too.
