As children, we seem to have no fear. Somehow I managed to hold on to that fearlessness, along with some form of naievete that accompanied it, well into my adult years. I wish I had it back. I love being outdoors. Or at least I used to. When I was in high school (and sometimes in jr high) I would sneak out of the house and wander around, walking through t

thank you, lw I feel so much better now, especially after writing about it, and looking forward to writing lots more
Okay, first a little background since I haven't posted much at all in the last year. This time last year I was finishing my first year working as a Pre-K teacher's aide in Texas, going to school, one class away from finally finishing my Bachelor's degree in Music, working part time delivering pizza, leading children's choir & teaching a 5th & 6th gr Sunday
well, I haven't actually been blogging much, but I've been around and reading for awhile and keep intending to write more. My hubby is SPC Nobody Special, and he was introduced to JU by a couple of guys from work, but I'm not sure if I should list them. I have met lifehappens and a couple of others, but don't know anyone very well, although we do have an aquaintance in common with Myrrander.
Congrats and have fun!
it would be nice to be treated as an important part of the whole system instead of as leeches ...that gave me quite the mental picture, TW! but seriously, this little bit of recognition is nice. no big deal, but nice.
I just saw an article that says it's not as bad as it sounds, it's not intended to be that strict, but...having read the reg, the potential is most definately there Link
Happy JU Birthday!
I suppose this will also end up affecting IM sessions between deployed soldiers and their loved ones back home? If nothing else, I guess I won't be getting phone calls as often since so many others who were using the computers for communication will have to revert to phones. I guess it's a good thing we've already been writing letters anyway. Thanks for the heads up. Just out of curiosity, who do you think will be clearing the content of Ge
nice pics! and nice to find a fellow SAI sister (OBU 95-99) on JU
I grew up with the 80's hair bands, so any of the great power ballads from that time. But, there is one song, our song, that you won't hear on the radio unless you're listening to a broadcast of the Dr. Demento show or some other novelty show. They're coming to take me away, ha, ha.......! by Napoleon XIV It\s very corny, and not all that romantic, unless you're us, but it's our song nonetheless. Love does make you mad, r
very cute. I'll have to tell Nbs about it. I got a letter from him the other day and he said he got so bored over the weekend he knitted a short scarf out of 550 cord with a couple of ball point pens. his ingenuity never ceases to amaze me
Way to go! Your accountability logs are very encouraging to me
I am officially 30 now. Have been since the week before last, and as the title states, it was on Friday the 13th. It's kind of funny, but even though I know there had to have been another one in between somewhere, the last birthday I remember falling on a Friday was when I turned 13. I tried to have friends over and camp out in a tent in the backyard, but they all
I'm sooooooo jealous!
I wish I was still in Texas for many reasons. I would join you in a heartbeat if I could. You'll have to tell us all about it!
I've been reading your accountability logs and must tell you that I am impressed. I'm working on diet and exercise myself right now, and it's exciting to see your dedication.
Nice article! Brought back memories of some of the kids I worked with last year in TX. We had one who had over 140 office referrals by the end of the school year, and spent more time suspended than not. Every adult that came in to contact with the child had been attacked physically, and most of the children. Did I mention this was Pre-K?
Doh! Triple!
oops, double post.
I need money so I can buy the set on DvD I found my DVDs used at a couple of video game stores. No problems with quality, and much better prices. They had a lot of series, too. Try EB Games or GameStop, etc
I totally understand the late nights and difficulty with laundry, although I don't have the kids to help with a laundry party. All the cats would do is lay on papa's clothes while I'm folding. Your daughter is gorgeous, by the way.
thanks, I miss the hugs, and I know you understand
I love this episode! I must admit that I never watched Buffy when it was actually on TV, but have bought almost all of the DVDs since discovering it last summer.
On wings of steel he flew from me, My heart, my breath he stole And though I ache so bitterly, I know twas not his goal "Spartan, come back with your shield or on it", He asked me to say ere he left I felt silly and strange in the midst of the crowd, but stifling tears and laughter, met his request A fierce hug, a deep kiss<BR
