Speech recognition....took me from making $60,000 a year down to $34,000.
It's only going to get worse in the transcription field too. Are you an independent transcriptionist?

I would not trust that at all OldMsgt. It would have been pre-released to technet subscribers long before OEMs. I am a technet subscriber and it has not been released there. I would bet that what you have is a leaked/warez build.
SP1 for Windows 7? I think I'm having a senior moment...
I think that in order to gain a thorough understanding of this you will need to unblur those pics and make them larger. This requires great study. [e digicons]:D[/e]
Doc, For the most part it appears that most of us responding here are actually in IT. Trust us, this is a local IT job killer. There is an ever increasing trend towards centralization and outsourcing going on. The CEO's and Stockholders know squat about the real world of IT and what it takes to be efficient. All they are concerned with is the almighty $$ and how to afford their next summer home. A highly glossed over sales presentation look great to them and no consideration is given
The difference this time is the availability and cost effectiveness of high speed internet services. Yes, "cloud" is just a buzzword but the "big iron" is now more easily located at a corporate data facilty instead of at the local facility data center (server room). Thus, the reduction in local IT staff.
customer satisfaction or other aspects of service.
...other terms that are fast becoming urban myths Doc. Too many companies really dont care what the customer thinks anymore. I must agree with Chasbo on this. It is a beginning of downsizing IT departments that is coming upon us. Speaking as an IT person, I don't WANT to be in "sales" or what have you. IT is my chosen profession and I'll stay there until there is no need ( or I'm outsourced to Ind
Roboform. Been using it for years. The SafeNotes feature makes password lookups for non-browser based apps very handy too. But of course, you have to be logged in to the PC to use it.
[e digicons]8C[/e] wow... Um.. I would rethink this. It doesn't look very usable according to the screenshots. Keep at it though.

Well, I bought DesktopX Pro when it first came out and paid a bunch for it. It's now cheap. Can I have a price difference refund too![e digicons]:D[/e]
I've been away from DX for awhile but I would think the best way to do it would be to use a calendar object/widget as the base and simply change the graphic states.
a well deserved recognition to a fine example of Hoosier hospitality. Well done Sir and good fortune to you. Happy New Year as well. :)
The background for both version one and two shared the same name. Didn't matter that there was a 2 at the end of the second one. The fix was to pull the skin, rename it then rebuild it from scratch under the new name. The way JuniorCrooks explained it the skin was picking up the background from the first one and sysmetrix of course couldn't tell the difference. That's why whenever a smaller skin was used before it the skin picked up that background because its own was ill defined. At l
no way I'm signing up for a site that really gives no info about itself like that. Reminds me of the "My Life" crap that spammed my mailbox forever.
Built in Windows Firewall is all you need besides what would be on your router.
If you have a firewall on your router why would you need to use windows firewall? I've never used a software firewall at all.

Good info Doc.
Stardock's powerful application, " Right Click ".
Why bother. It's works like crap on Win7 I thought ,and is no longer being developed.
Neil, Not on this system. Just Winstep Extremes Workshelf
i dont think your blind did it navigatsio, i've since redownloaded it and everything went smooth. Twas an odd thing indeed.
After a reinstall/update through impulse it all works again. Just a freak incident..
Thought I would share a very strange thing that just happend to me with Windowblinds. I was 1 version behind on and had not updated on Impulse yet. Downloaded Avante blind. As it was extracting, all of the files in the blind appeared on my ( redirected ) desktop. BTW, I HATES Icons on my desktop... but I digress... Being a noble sport about the whole thing I promptly hit CTRL-A then SHIFT-DEL and presto! All those nasty desktop icons are gone (even checked with
Gee, I haven't chatted with the Skipper in quite some time. Kinda miss him. Congratz old friend and I hope you you are doing better.
check this registry setting too... HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run see if anything funky is running that should not be. You might also want to check to see if there is a major AV scan or something happening on that boot.
