It isnt a matter of comfort. It's a matter of me telling you the issues I experienced with the Beta software, what was required to fix it, and then being told that disabling the app solves the problem. It did NOT solve the problem this time. I'll install again and see if the same occurs.
When the app is disabled the app is disabled. It cannot have any impact on any applications opened after it was disabled.
Just telling you what it did. Disabling the app did NOT solve the problem. Uninstallation solved the problem. Guess I'll just leave it uninstalled so I have a fully functional PC.

Had some weired issues with Outlook 2007. When I would try to reply to an email or start a new email the window for it would not be visible. I could go to the taskbar and see that it had opened a new window for the reply or new mail. On the taskbar preview i right-clicked and selected move then hit my left arrow key. I could see that it was moving a window but that window was not visible. Had to un-install WindowFX. Simply disabling it would not fix the problem.

Issue resolved. It appears the problem was on my system. I fired up a VM and Impulse worked just fine. A few days ago I tried the Download of the Day (forget the link) which was an app called Garbage Cleaner. Well, it should have cleaned itself straight away. Performed a system restore to a point prior to that POS app being installed and everything works fine again.

I've stated it in the WindowsFX threads but no one from SD has responded. Impulse keeps giving me a Server not responding, please check your internet connection error. Obviously my internet connection is working. I've uninstalled and reinstalled impulse too. Also, If I check the box "I forgot my account information" and enter my email address it claims I dont exist. Haven't changed my email address in a few years. What's going on?

Excellent! Got it, trying it out now. Thanks for the heads up for those of us that do not like auto-updates!
nice, now all we need is rightclick for windows 7. Even though the current version works well it would be nice to get and update
good point Nimbin. I'm sure the FX will be nifty, but one must question the logic. I've seen soooo many threads of people practicaly begging for RightClick to be updated and really nothing of people asking for WinFX. Last I heard was that RC is dead and not being updated.
will I still be able to use the program in full version?

Absolutely, plus you can archive them with Impulse and reinstall them any time
If you wish to reinstall them you MUST archive them manually before your subscription runs out. Stardock will not provide you with access to reinstall the apps if it has expired and re-install from archive is your only option. You can continue to use them though.

IMO.. having flat menu items on a background which curves like this really takes away from the entire theme and just make things look out of place. Overcome that one and it will be nice.

Excellent! It's refreshing to see how you are constantly on top of things, adding cool features, providing outstanding support etc. Nice to see a taskbar alternative showing previews that actually works as it should too. I so look forward to this. Thanks!
I think the word "keep" is defined as something you already own; something in your possession. You cannot "keep" something you no longer have, right?
Yes, I agree and like I said, I understand what you are saying. However, the FAQ does not make that assumption and the word "released" should really be replace with "you've archived". That leaves little room for interpretation. The FAQ does not give SD a clear cut case should someone choose to pursue the issue. [e digicon
