As I said in my other thread, Erebus teleport + stun + bite = they win, always.

Persistant updates that are only available to legit customers I think are the best way to curb piracy.
The computer link doesnt mention available slots on the motherboard. My advice would be to take your system to a computer store and have them take a look inside and tell you what you have.
Demigod unfortunately has a lot more multiplayer problems at this time than most games. Ive been disconnected multiple times when I just got the map loading screen. I advise to wait for them to activate their proxy servers which should be hopefully real soon and that will alleviate most connectivity problems, we hope. Changing connections in windows is not necessary as that is for only half open connections which Demigod will never reach unless youve got other things running in the ba
The game should also let you know when an update is available and take you to impulse to get it updated if you click ok. First two updates did that to me at least.
I wouldnt recommend running any intesive game with an integrated card because either a) it will not work or b) it will work with glitches or c) it will work but be damn slow. Integrated video is not meant for serious gaming.
Hundreds of posts on this topic. Favor and favor items are either broke or buggered up. Ive been in the negative since like the third day.
- You can purchase items to make you go faster. 1250 gold makes you go 25% for 8 seconds every 30. - Games only last forever if neither team upgrades their citadel. Once you upgrade for new units and upgrade their strengths matches will end preety quickly as there will be massive swarms of units just bulldozing all structures. - Its hard enough balancing 8. Quantity != Quality. Personally I find 8 to be a perfect amount for a starting game. They said more will be added in time
Yep. Contact CRTC and let them know how you feel about being F'd in the ass by Bell.
You need a Linksys WRT54GL router. You then flash it with this firmware: http://fixppp.org/ . Then turn on MLPPP. Your provider needs to support it. Bell doesnt. Their resllers like Teksavvy do. By turning on MLPPP you change the packets and dont ever get throttled. But right now that dont work with Demigod which is a royal pain.
And the way around that is to use a router with Tomato/MLPPP firmware and DSL reseller such as Teksavvy. However Demigod is apparently the only game on earth that doesnt work with Tomato/MLPPP so we get screwed both ways. Maybe once stardocks new proxy servers go live it will work with MLPPP, will see.
I just had the same thing happen. http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd146/Annekynn/demigod_bug1.jpg
In light of balance issues being discussed amongst the various classes my question is, is Demigod supposed to have a rock paper scissors approach such that some classes are naturally better against others or are all supposed to have an equal chance against one another? If its rock paper scissors then we need to know who is supposed to go against whom such as assassins against other assassins and generals against other generals etc. Otherwise if its all supposed to be perfectly balanced then w
"Erebus just seems to be a character who does well against Regulus." Towers dont help. Me + 2 towers + 20 minions = I lose, Erebus survives with half health and flies away. His minions are just a reserve army of death and he never needs to use them against me as by himself he is plenty superior. My question then is, what light class does very well against Erebus and is Demigod supposed to be designed in a rock paper scissors approach or are all demigods supposed to have an equ
Actually the erebus players I see never use the mist. Just bat swarm for teleport, mass charm for stun, bite for damage/heal and root and then whack me till I drop. Even if after the stun I get my mines off the damage is not enough to kill them or even make a dent.
Since this is the class that gives my Reg the most trouble, how do you counter a bat swarm teleport, mass charm stun and a bite combo? The bites slow prevents me from getting away and the Erebus heals through most of the damage he takes.
Well I admit when im wrong, its NOT torch bearer, its Lord Erebus. My apology to all the TB fans, got you mixed up. Edited title and original post. Its the ability Bite.
At this point all I want to see is some sort of combat log so I can see what it is im being hit with. The more information we have the easier it is to diagnose potential problems.
he teleports, slows me down, and kills me in about 5-10 seconds. If he lands on 6 mines MAYBE I can kill him. Cant stand toe to toe, cant get away.
Repeated this problem in the last three games. Erebus are unkillable starting from level 3 when fighting a Reg.
Each character can level up from 1 to 20. Each level gives you a chance to raise one of your skills, abilities, or features. You also earn money which you can use to buy stuff like helmets, armor, boots etc. So yes you are playing the role of a demigod whom you level up with like in an RPG. Since the game doesnt have quests or all the rest of the stuff that makes games RPGs is why it is not labeled as an RPG.
I couldnt tell what he was using, He was point blank range to me and there were no visual cues. Im not familiar with the class so I dont know what combination of skills+items could have achieved that.
"and pick worthless characters like Regulus and feed the enemy." hey! you take that back! :( And I totally agree about the AI and the need for it to stop chasing to its death. Should be easy to fix I think.
http://forums.demigodthegame.com/348096 I understand your frustration, game should work on day one, but they are fixing it this week they say.
[quote who="kaptainkolbey" reply="15" id="2155921"]As far as I can tell, the router has no firewall option. Even if it did, putting the laptop into the DMZ produces no effect, which it should if a router-level firewall was the issue. There is no "gaming mode" or "relaxed NAT" option available on my router, unfortunately. However, again, DMZ produces no effect, which it should if this is the problem. I am fairly certain my ISP (AT&T) is not filtering P2P traffic. For
