click the connection info button at the bottom right. Does it show you as Connected to some people or always Attempting? If you never show anyone as Connected then youre not set up right with your ports. If it does show you as Connected to at least some people then its probably the game. Today is a bad day for me as ive managed to get 2 games working in the last 3 hours. Worked much better yesterday
Annekynn, here is an excerpt from a reply I just left on another thread: I started a game. I had rook. I quickly bought the 2 armors I could buy, selected hammer slam, and ran out to capture a flag. I met an opposing rook at the flag. Now, understand that this is 10 seconds into the game. I moused over and checked his hit points - they were identical to mine. We fought. I got in mor
Im 110% positive we were the same level because it was the first thing I checked to explain why we were getting so ridiculously owned. Lag wasnt an issue was this occured many times in a row each time against the same player. As for favor items, there is no item called "I Win Button".
He didnt use circle of fire. It was point blank damage of some sort and it was extremely quick. He wasnt that powerful until a certain point in the match so I believe its some item or combination of items that he was using. In either case it made him indestructable even against 2 players at the same time so hence my concern that theres some inbalance going on.
That's called "I was pwning some nublets one match, and then I finally met someone who knew how to play the game". It happens to everyone.
Again I dont care that he would have kicked my ass because he manouvered better, took flags better, defended better etc. I couldnt do more than 400 damage to him going full tilt with everything I had. Even if he stumbled upon 6 mines by somehow teleporting himself right ontop of them I d
I'm still wondering how a level 10 TB is doing 5k damage? Anyway, once again a case of skill or lack thereof, without being offensive. Reg can kill demigods without help and he can steal kills from dusk to dawn with snipes to boot. Heck, even his mines are great tools of destruction.
Too many details missing here to give much useful advice one way or the other but if, by 'full armor setup', you mean you were actually putting your cash into your armor value, that wouldn't have helped you at all against the TB.
No what I meant was that I had helm/gloves/chest/boots etc for health/mana/regen/damage. Just saying I wasnt gimped by going in naked.
So my level 10 regulus with an 8k artifact and full armor setup goes off against a level 10 Erebus. Like 9 times. The result each time are identical. He teleports himself to me and kills me. He has 5600 health. I have 5000 ish. I do 400 damage. He does 5000. I hit him with the skill that makes him take damage when he uses his first skill, im in angelic mode and going full tilt. 400 damage I manage. At the end of the game he had 9 kills, all like against me. I had 9 kills, mostly against AIs.
A tactical nuclear strike or ion cannon. Works every time.
Yes the AI cheats on higher difficulties.
Yeah I had the same problem. Seems to be working better now. Guess the hamster was just tired and needed a break.
You didnt kill off everything. Firewalls run as services that dont appear in the process list. Uninstall the software or run the software and disable it.
Well the game just came out a few days ago. They have already resolved a lot of issues and stated a lot more will be resolved in the new week. Patience. And last night I had two pantheon matches that had 6 players in them so certainly more than two happens.
Ive just played a match like that. Frustrating.
Well im still stuck at -910. Got well positive in single and multiplayer lan. Played LAN game, completed it, immediately joined pantheon without logging out of the game, no dice.
Major solution to connectivity problems found: MLPPP. If you use a Linksys router or any other with Tomato/MLPPP firmware to get around P2P throttling from your ISP you will not be able to connect to multiplayer games if MLPPP is turned on. You need to set it to off and reconnect your router. This is an odd problem since ive played dozens of multiplayer games over MLPPP just fine so not sure why it would be a problem but it somehow is for this particular game.

So far in retail I havent been able to connect to a single multiplayer match. The ports are open in the router and verified via grc.com to be open. In the connection info log at the bottom right it often shows me that ive either successfully connected to one person or am attempting to connect to people and everyone else is listed as either waiting to connect or havent connected. If I wait long enough it will say I have disconnected from the NAT facilitator.
If you can't determine who's pirate and who's store-bought-unpatched, how do you know there were 18k legit and 100k bullshit connections? Sorry, just need it explained cause I don't get it.
Because 18k are logged into impulse since the game asks you for a login/password and the rest are just hammering the server without authenticating so its easy to distinguish. Now stardock just needs to block them outright and problem will get
Nice fix!
Kotaku got it wrong. Brad was talking about SIMULATENEOUS connections. Thats 18,000 legit customers trying to connect at the same time and not 18,000 sales. However it certainly shows, and possibly due to the lack of a demo, that the warez copies of the game got a lot of attention.
Last I checked that was a bug with the game as normally you cant go into the negatives since you cant buy something you dont have the points for.
Totally biased review. The core component of the game doesn't work, but maybe it will get fixed in the future, so we will just ignore the issue?
The core component worked fine in beta prior to launch. It certainly is done and developed. Severe backend problems due to traffic are most unfortunate and are being resolved per word of Stardocks president. Most big multiplayer games have severe problems at launch so this is hardly
The following thread summarizes well some of the balance problems: https://forums.stardock.com/347028
From Stardocks president: "The challenge we're running into is that our NAT facilitator servers are getting hammered by the number of requests. That's the most significant issue as it results in users not being able to connect to each other. The solution to this is partly more servers (which we're doing right now) and partly a code update to connect users without using so many resources. We expect to have this largely resolved in the next 24 hours or so. The other thing we hav
