WindowBlinds gets glassy title bars

We have internally figured out how to get a future version of WindowBlinds to supports Aero-Glass style title bars on Windows XP...

This is definately going to be the hottest invention since sliced bread

My congrats go out to you and I can't wait to try out the betas. I knew there was a great reason to re-up my OD subscription.

Woodbridge: The shadows on Mac OS X aren't hard coded. They are based on the shape of the window and can be modified with a program (windowshadeX) or they can be shut off. As a matter of fact I have had OS X add shadows to animated gif's floating on the desktop using a program called "desktopfun".
Yes, I have a Mac.

Anyway this will be great even if just to make the edges of WB skins antialiased. Any skin that has non squared edges can benefit from it. I might even start making WB skins (on my PC of course) again when this comes out.

Ahhh cheers smoke I figured since there is no way of changing them (or so I thought) that they were hard coded. I'll have to try out those program (I too have a Mac )

I'd like to see a whole skin in glass...oh yes I would.

So please add it to the Windowblinds for Windows 2000 and 9x, too.

Please don't use standard windows librarys of XP for your functions. Make your own thing!

Here's a screenshot of my new prototype skin made completely out of glass:

What do you think?

Win2k sounds reasonable since it has the transparency API's that XP has but 9x not only doesn't but it has the GDI limitations and such so I would not hold my breath getting Aero glass or other transparent titlebars there.

There's not enough people using those OSes anymore (int temrs of people who buy WB) to justify that effort.

I didn't even know that WB supported those OSes anymore. O_o

Frogboy you've said that Aero style transparancy will be available in some future version of windowblinds. Can you give us some indication of when that will be. I'd certainly like to see it before Longhorn (Vista) is available as it will give us a taste of what's on offer for the future.

Keep up the good work
